Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Which feelings are okay in non-leftist social media? In K-12 protest marches?![]() 2. Some of the not-so-lefties who really hate Trump are starting to realize that spewing hate at people who don't hate Trump isn't working. Although they continue to spew hate to their own followers, they may now do logical analyses of content they don't like which they see posted on the personal page of a non-hater rather than reacting with venom. For example, if someone posts something from AoSHQ, we might see an admission by the lefty commenter that the post correctly identifies false information from, say, a Democratic Senator. However, there would be criticism of any snark or disapproval of the sharing of false information by a Democratic Senator, according to the principles of classical logic. "The commentator uses moral condemnation, accusations of lying, and dismissive framing." Be totally dispassionate about lies from our side, you bigots!!! Avoid all snark or disapproval! Be BORING.
![]() Any thoughts on how to get through to those kids? Here is a thoughtful essay based on a conversation with a father. Take a little time to read it when you can. What can we do? What the Kids Actually Believe Toward the end of these worrisome observations: Folks, this is in Utah - - a place once considered among the most conservative in America. Andrew Breitbart was prescient when he said politics is downstream from culture, and what’s happening in these schools is culture being rewritten at scale.
It is not momentous events that are the most meme-worthy. Rather, it is moments when liberals show their true colors and embarrass themselves, often in relatively trivial ways, that set meme-creators to work. This week, along with the ongoing fiasco in Minnesota, we had severel such events. The Washington Post, hemorrhaging losses, laid off a large portion of its staff, causing its newly-unemployed reporters to demonstrate outside the building. They marched in defense of the moral principle that Jeff Bezos is obliged to support them forever, no matter how much money they lose. I wonder whether some of the newly-laid-off demonstrators have been covering economics for the Post. Also, more Epstein documents were released, to the discomfiture of his former friends, all of whom appear to be, like Epstein himself, Democrats. The number one source of memes, however, was singer Billie Eilish. At the Grammy awards–like all entertainment awards ceremonies, an orgy of liberal stupidity–Eilish opined that “no one is illegal on stolen land.” Her own property, presumably, excluded. . .

34 years ago me and three buddies waited until midnight, when our Army paychecks hit our accounts, and then piled into a compact car to drive from Western Germany to the French Alps to watch the Albertville Olympics. Saw Bonnie Blair win Gold, watched Herschel Walker bobsled and a bunch of other games. Great 3 days of sleeping in the car at night and hanging out with the athletes during the day. Good times. Many many years ago in the 1980s a black guy in Iowa City, Iowa claimed his Mercedes-Benz was tagged with spray painted Nazi swastika. The progressive college town reacted in abject horror as one might expect, with candle-light vigils and hand wringing editorials in the newspapers and the rest of it.
It was soon determined to be a hoax, an attempted insurance scam actually, perpetrated by the previously aforementioned black guy. Never skipping a beat, everyone then got a lecture - “Well it could have happened, and that’s just as bad!” Since that time I’ve always been skeptical of any such claims and it would appear that was justified. They are always hoaxes unless proven otherwise. Especially in a radical left-wing college town. Posted by: Common Tater at February 07, 2026 11:32 AM (Ly6Ax) 24

Posted by: PaleRider ==== Depending on the location, Walmart dot com is finally bringing some competition to Amazon. But both websites are becoming dysfunctional due to all Chinesium crap products sold under fake storefronts by the same sellers cluttering the search window. By contrast, local schools and states only get about 10 percent or so of the budget from the feds. So the biggest stick DoE has for them is to use existing federal civil rights laws to force compliance on such matters as no males on female teams, no DEI criteria for hiring, etc. States, especially red ones, are going to have to fix local education themselves. FWIW, the 5th Circuit handed out a major bitch slap by holding the current immigration law gives the administration, not judges, power to detain without bond any illegal that did not show up at a port of call (most of them).
"The court ruled that the Trump administration properly reinterpreted federal immigration law to classify individuals who entered the U.S. illegally—regardless of how long they have lived in the country—as subject to mandatory detention during deportation proceedings. This shift effectively removes the right to a bond hearing for many long-term undocumented immigrants, including those without criminal records. As for the rest, it's actually becoming dangerous to have kids be "educated" in public schools. The shocking propaganda is extremely disturbing, and yes, we know it's been going on for a while. But what's emerging is something even more sinister. They are making these kids into little militants...ignorant about what they're being propagandized and militarized for, and with no counter argument in these so-called teachings. I always hoped parents would set things straight with their kids, but it's gotten so out of hand now, I don't know how we're going to deprogram these little skulls full of much. Even with the mild weather early mornings are chilly, so I'd wager that buses with no windows are not pleasant, especially if the driver ramps things up by not using the heater. Of course if the schools were so stupid as to let random students wander over and vandalize the buses vs a passenger breaking the window. But even in that case, post the vandals' pics and names on the school doors. Let the kids that use the buses take care of business. the cheerleaders can probably make the girl that broke windows regret her life choices.

Andrew Breitbart was prescient when he said politics is downstream from culture, and what’s happening in these schools is culture being rewritten at scale.
The problem is that culture has become massively, progressively worse since Andrew Breitbart made that statement. And, worse still, children now have more access to this horrid culture from an early age. Previously, kids knew culture from their neighborhoods, from television cartoons and shows, from movies, from music. Now, over the past 10-20 years, since the advent of smart phones and social media (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, whatever else kids are exposed to), kids are now exposed to the worst of the worst in the palm of their hand from not just their neighborhood or their own country, but from all over the world. A child's brain is not developed enough to comprehend and make sense of anything beyond their own neighborhood when young. So getting bombarded with horrid culture from all over the country and world has been short-circuiting them for the past 2 decades. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at February 07, 2026 12:29 PM (P5BPp) 124

But it always mystified me how it works. Any sentient human being who spends a dozen damn years in the tutelage of these pigs should know the government they are paid by and love so erotically is worthless, and that's on a good day. He bought the full meal deal--CRISPY fried chicken, coleslaw, rolls, potatoes and gravy, etc. He carefully sets out each of these items on the desk and proceeds to chow down noisily while I was lecturing. The smell of stale fried chicken (the air in that room wasn't good) and made some students sick and other hungry. As the show was getting more and more attention, I eventually stopped the class and said something like, "If a student is hungry, I have no problem with them eating, but please be courteous to others and sit in the back if you are doing that as the air in here is not good and I don't want distractions for other students." They need to not be fed lies. Those kids are chanting "immigrants are welcome here!" Utah opened the doors wide for refugees and illegal immigrants. Starting with our governors and legislators, so from the top down. If you tell these kids they are rounding up all immigrants, so their friends, of course they will be mad. (And 80% of them are just joining to get out of school.) Why did the SLC protest involve letting kids wander blocks unsupervised and harass people in stores? Suspend any of the kids caught doing that and fire the teachers instigating it. You should have to get a permission slip for this. And let parents pull their kids for the day if they choose. Posted by: Donna&&&&&&v at February 07, 2026 12:54 PM (2wJYt) Try looking for public and private mental health support, starting with whatever your department of children and family services is called. Much as I hate those agencies in general, they may be able to at least point you in the right direction. Your state probably has an involuntary mental health evaluation law of some kind but if the cops or the doctor won't play ball you'll need to find some other way to activate it. The problem with police involvement is they often won't get involved until it's a crisis point and get trigger happy. I think this must depend on the state.
I never once heard of this happening in CO, absent some precipitating offense that triggers the 72-hr hold. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at February 07, 2026 01:17 PM (BI5O2) Right, the key phrase is "danger to one's self or others." Suicidal statements are an obvious one, but so are credible claims of wanting to harm others. Brandishing a weapon will do it, especially when there are other obvious signs of psychosis. Also, if there are signs of self-neglect (not eating, not treating an illness, etc), a hold can be initiated. I've initiated these when I was in Colorado, so I know it can be done (easier than here in Arizona). Posted by: BurtTC at February 07, 2026 01:27 PM (AWCJK) 195

Then jail the kids for an appropriate time enough for them to think about it. The kids wouldn't have time to realize it was a prop and it would be a life's lesson. This world is going to turn. From a DM's game balance perspective (hey, silly but accurate) Gray Tribe is motivated by a desire to be left alone so they can dissolve and pursue individual interests. Pink Tribe are control freaks who get off on controlling others and will band together as roving packs of bullies in search of prey. In a head to head matchup, Gray Tribe could easily destroy Pink. But Gray set up a phone tree so they can skip the weekly game sessions unless there's some emergency. Meanwhile Pink is meeting secretly the day before each game session to playtest ways to come at Gray sideways without triggering an alert. Their Minnesota Gambit failed but Grey doesn't appreciate how close they came to winning without a shot being fired. The problem I see is that Grey would rather be somewhere else (are they playing Orion2 on the side again?) while Pink finds the game exhilarating. Marxism gives the Left immunity to History, to consequences. They get Final Edit rights to their own Performance Reviews and Criminal Records. I began to wonder which was the more lethal threat, Incompetence or Malice.
Then I remembered Chernobyl. The horror story of Chernobyl was really the other 14 RBMK reactors, each tik-tiking away. And only a single man, Valery Legasov, ensured they were modified to address the fatal design flaw. We got lucky, what if a party apparatchik had been assigned to the government commission instead, and all 14 reactors were left to endure their own safety test. Worst case scenario just to see what was on the table... Grok extrapolated the result 90% reduction in world pop Europe and Asia uninhabitable All Atlantic coastlines uninhabitable Mass starvation in Africa and Americas drinkable water and safe farmland top priority Australia comes out mostly okay but with no trading partners suffers a similar mass starvation. Then come the wars to seize Safe Zones and Australia is the primary target. A near extinction level event, all because repairing those 14 reactors would have been an admission of fault resulting in a loss of face. The scenario assumed that without Valery Legasov, the core would have melted into the ground water. Something that was prevented from happening at Chernobyl. When I added it to the simulation, what you correctly assume would be localized disasters quickly became regional disasters, and then global as the contaminated water entered the Atlantic. Don't know. The clip was of the wrestler and the Captain talking and it was focused on their permission. Captain said it was a rule for all ships that no electronics go ashore. Cited security.

What are they going to do? Launch toxic poop on our boots? They do realize they're roughly the size and shape of a football, yes?

I really tire of the "all is lost" bleating. The Left is collapsing. They promised utopia, but none of their promises have come to fruition.
The Leftist politicians have been reduced to naked threats of force because the normies are getting restive. They're importing 3rd world peasants; which is creating enormous problems in civilized society. - What are they doing today that they weren't before they installed Biden? I don't think there's any sign of "collapse" among the left. They're angry because we aren't obeying them, but they're nowhere near begging for mercy. And we're still wondering (doubting for the most part) whether any of them will see justice. Embarrassment, maybe, but who really thinks Fauci or Brennan or the Obamas or Clintons, much less the Soros's and their ilk are going to face real, lasting punishment? Even if we had a DoJ that was interested in it, where would we find courts sufficiently uncorrupted to allow it? Posted by: Methos at February 07, 2026 05:41 PM (vSvIl) 265
Where in Antarctica and what is going on there that no electronics are allowed?

Tell kids how people travel between countries and that different countries do not allow people to stroll across their borders.
