"Trova expertly deconstructs the male gaze of the female form by accurately representing the subjective nature of how men view women as nothing more than meat to be consumed. It's an ugly fact of life that Trova expertly brings to painterly form by creating a sight that repels the viewer, making one question the nature of beauty itself."

Trolls focus on words. Real men focus on deeds.

Trump SAYS a lot of stupid shit. It gets people running around with their hair on fire (I should try that and see if it's good for gainzzzz). Then he quietly continues doing what he's been doing.

Trump says "kinder and gentler". Trump also signs order saying that deportation orders cannot be appealed. Trump's deportation lieutenants are NOT saying "kinder and gentler".

It helps to pay attention.

Yeah, but...everyone knows the Art of Politics is using the most inflammatory, inciting, and harsh language possible to describe the policies you want or are carrying out.

Like say, deporting illegal aliens.

Instead of calling it "deporting illegal aliens", the savvy politician, which Trump is not!!!, would say-

"throwing the scum of the earth into fiery burn-pits filled with industrial waste and diarrhea , then shooting them in the back and throwing their children into hamburger grinders"

That's the way Trump should do things.

I hope this helps.

They have to convince him to resign. Everything else, every forcing of him out, leads to a snap election.

Any snap election would see Labour lose its 288 seat majority in Parliament and become a rump party, probably behind Reform who have been increasingly promising hardline immigration reforms. And, since Parliament is supreme and can pretty much just do what it wants, Reform would be able to do it.

So, if they can't convince Starmer to resign, they stick with him. 3+ more years of change to the English demographics is a better bet than just trying a snap election now.

Eh...not really.

Combined, the CP and Reform got something like 60% of the vote.

The problem was that the CP gamed the election system, selectively choosing where to keep their candidates and where to pull them in the concerted effort of making Reform perform less well, which led to Labour getting a huge majority with something like 35% of the popular vote.

I'm sure Britain is full of "Conservative Party because I've always voted Conservative Party" voters as much as America is full of "GOP because I've always voted GOP."

Four reasons I can immediately think of:
1. Expense. Clothing is cutthroat outside of high fashion (and it's cutthroat there, too, in a different way) and larding up add-ons makes you noncompetitive absent a specific real demand, which brings us to:
2. Nobody is asking for it. I think it would look stupid and have no purpose outside of a hi-viz vest or jacket (where it might actually be really kick ass), but I am just me. I don't see people clamoring for light-up clothes. Probably in part because:
3. Requires maintenance. "I forgot to charge my shirt and now I look like even more of a chump" is not something most people ever want to think about. And speaking of maintenance:
4. It makes laundry a huge PITA. You will have to treat those garments with serious care and even when you do, it will be fragile because it will be built to lowest cost (see #1).

Harder chores, worse longevity, added maintenance and no demand. That's my guess.

Eh, Starmer stays. There's no incentive for him to go.

His party obviously hate Britain and the Brits themselves. Why not have Starmer be the face of the New Improved muslim Satrapy of Britain?

A couple more years of insanely high immigration and there's no going back without a horrifically bloody civil war.

Then Mission Accomplished, Starmer! Good show, Old Bean!

This is not the path of modern leftist parties.

Look to the Italian Democrat Party for a lesson.

No reform of messaging. No moderation of tone. No willingness to cede power, especially within the party, leading to constant diminishment of actual power within the government.

Labour will hold on as long as they can, get as radical as they can, try to hold onto power by any means necessary, and when they are booted, they will never moderate or try to expand their base again.

Hell, they haven't moderated or expanded their base since Corbyn was in charge. They only took power because the CP schemed to give it to them.

I would guess that boobs generate trailing vortices that reattach flow over the badonkadonk section and down the gams. But there's no way to know without enough testing. Sure CFD will get an answer, but is it the right answer? Did your solution converge properly? Did you choose the proper grid density over her OML? Did you model her wake correctly?

No way to be sure without extensive tests. Force balance tests, flow vis, pressure strips, pressure sensitive paint, maybe Schlieren. I mean, are you sure there's no transonic phenomenon coming off those jigglies at jump speed? Only one way to find out. And then of course, flutter tests.

Honestly, the little no-frills electric pickup truck ("Slate") was almost exactly what I want, except:
1. Electric. Not actually a deal-breaker for what I have in mind (local hauling)
2. Not at the magic $20k price point. They *said* it would be, but it isn't. It's $27k. It comes in at $19.5k only if you have that $7.5k federal subsidy on each unit - but the "One Big Beautiful Bill" removed that. Whoops. Whoopsie.

The "Slate" would probably have done well if that hadn't happened, but hey - live by rent-seeking, die by rent-seeking.

The stock market is uniquely irrational. We're on the verge of a serious kinetic War with Iran.

Bitcoin was down yesterday from something like $125,000 to something like $65,000 (nearly half), so people are pumping it.

I won't touch crypto because (1) it will eventually be banned and criminalized by threatened governments; and (2) if Western Civilization in general and the USA in particular ever collapse economically & societally -- which to me know is only a matter of when, not if -- you won't be able to eat your Bitcoin.

I've heard people in Congress say "I reclaim my time" when a witness is cross-talking. I think it causes the timekeeper to reset the clock to when the committee member finished asking their last question.

"Can you shut him up?" Is not in the House rulebook, so Bessent went on talking and used up her time.

382 Yes; I remember laughter.

Clean comedian Mike Goodwin talks about Abraham & Issac. Scroll past the description. To the video at the bottom. Otherwise the comedy is ruined. I guess the "Faithpot" site wants people not to worry the material is inappropriate:

That makes no sense. Water balloons aren't sharp at all.

393 Wonder whatever happened to Paul Shankland. Rush stopped playing his stuff at some point. Wonder if they had a falling-out, or just couldn't agree on contract terms.

------------

I sent Mr. Shanklin my "American Lie" parody of Don McLean's "American Pie" about the Clintons -- and specifically Hillary -- back in '99 (giving him all rights and free to make any changes), but he never responded:

Don+McLean/American+Lie

BTW, I sang that at the TX MoMe, while reading the lyrics from my phone, when it suddenly died and lost my place for a bit ... much to my everlasting shame and embarrassment.]

394 Named after Arthur Laughter, the Laughter Curve is a theoretical model in economics that illustrates the relationship between tax rates and government tax revenue.

It's a hoot!

I saw somewhere a article on "fun curves," arguing that overlapping curves lead to a decrease in the peak of the individual fun curves.

398 It’s not that big a deal because DJIA isn’t that big a deal anymore. It’s weighted in a weird way and isn’t really reflective of the broader market. It’s kind of a relic but still there for nostalgic reasons.

The S&P500, Nasdaq and Russell 2000 are all up bigly.
