Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 1/30/26![]() Oh happy day, the GOP and Democrats have reached some sort of funding deal that prevents a government shutdown. Eh, if you read the piece, it's the usual political posturing, can-kicking and other nonsense that means more arguments and bullshit in the coming weeks. The big deal with this was the Democrats' insistence on the complete defunding of ICE which although demand by their bloodthirsty insane base is something that of course would never fly with normal American and so ICE will continue to enforce federal law in the rounding up and deportation of illegal aliens. That said, it's not just Democrats who are out of their minds but far too many RINOs are going along to get along, or otherwise are doubtless profiting handsomely from illegal immigration. Collins, R-Maine, said she spoke with Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, who told her the news. . . Collins hasn’t joined her colleagues Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., and Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, who have called for Noem to resign.Kind of a shocker considering Collins and Murkowski are perpetually joined at the hip when it comes to opposing President Trump and supporting far too many anti-American Leftist political initiatives, primarily abortion. I assume Collins sees that Downeasters have had it with their own Somali Islamo-Grifting swarm of locusts, and so her future ability to bamboozle them into voting for her means she has to at least do her best to fake being in agreement with them about this issue. Do the words of this half-mouli scumbag really matter? "Breaking Bad" actor Giancarlo Esposito calls for "revolution" as a result of the events in Minneapolis. He says "millions" might lose their lives, but "the rest of us would survive."Typical. "Aux Barricades" fools. Go charge into the machine-gun fire while I stay here in the safety of my trailer mixing the martinis. I can see this degenerate commanding one of Stalin's penal battalions ready to shoot anyone who hesitates. For the glory of the revolution, you see! Considering these bastards want us all dead, this is almost laughable. Almost . . . Anti-ICE agitators mistakenly targeted two Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents having dinner at a restaurant in Lynwood, California, on Wednesday evening—prompting the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office to be called and engage in crowd control. The two TSA agents were mistakenly identified by unknown individuals as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, prompting a crowd of demonstrators to show up outside the restaurant, with several carrying Mexican flags and others carrying anti-ICE signs. In footage from the scene, several Los Angeles County Sheriff officers can be seen forming a loose perimeter around the dining establishment, while several dozen anti-ICE agitators blow horns, whistles, and wave flags and signs. Local reports indicate the TSA agents were forced to call the sheriff for backup as the crowd gathered outside.Meh. If they wound up dead. ICE, TSA, what's the diff? to the Left it would be "Message Sent." Back in Minnesota, this happened: Mark Anderson, a 36-year-old man from Mankato, Minnesota, was arrested at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday evening after allegedly impersonating a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent. Anderson claimed he had a court order to release Luigi Mangione, who is accused of assassinating UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. According to the criminal complaint, Anderson presented a Minnesota driver’s license when asked for credentials and carried a bag containing a barbecue fork and a pizza cutter. On the international scene, With a carrier battle group steaming towards Iran to presumably smother the regime with a My Pillow to help it achieve 72 virginhood. Closer to home, will the Caribbean island gulag of Cuba at long last be rid of the Communists? The Financial Times reported on Wednesday that Cuba only has "about 15 to 20 days" of oil left, based on knowledge of its last shipment, which came from Mexico in early January. There are also rumors floating around the many international businesses and at least a dozen European and Latin American embassies are planning to evacuate Cuba soon amid the crisis, due to the "rapid collapse of internal conditions" and the potential for it to get much worse in the weeks to come. Some say they fear U.S. military intervention given what happened with Maduro. That would be something to see but I'd rather we here in America no longer had to fear the long dark shadow of Communism that is the Democrat Party. I have a dream today! Have a great weekend. And lastly, a quick shout-out and a huge thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

They should really now start to look at root causes for the fiscal insanity. For example I mentioned SSDI. Congress allowed people who had some type of legal status, even temporary, to do things like put their non citizen, sick parents on SSDI. A huge part of SSDI are non citizens like that. The program blew up after Congress did that and it needs to be rolled back. They also opened the program up to massive fraud and they still have not looked into it yet. It’s a racket where the same doctors and administrators funnel people into SSDI, and a lot of it is fraud. Just do your job, Congress. Legislate all the non citizens out of the system.

You can't use "AI" - or any machine vision system - to make a correct decision. You probably *can* use it as a first-pass filter, tuned to enthusiastically make false positives (err on the side of diagnosing a problem in the face of ambiguity) and then kick it upstairs for human review. AI is way too flawed to trust with actual decisions, but doing an initial assessment and using that to prioritize human review could be helpful. "Here are your 12 images from this morning. The top four are the ones the computer thinks are bad, so look at them first." As you say, even trained humans who *can* think disagree sometimes, and that needs to not be short-circuited. Hey now, they gave very serious consideration to doing the minimum possible to make a slightly principled stand against fascists killing Americans. What more do you want? Let me guess, the fascists get everything they want, and the Democrats agreed to not do anything to stop them? They start from a position of apathy and aggressively negotiate downward from there. Current Democratic Party barely has a pulse much less balls. Close! They kicked DHS funding down the road several weeks. For a group in the minority with little to lose they're quick to roll over. Maybe we'll get an extra line in the legal code saying ICE killing citizens and deporting them without trial is kind of bad, actually! We need to demand more. Do you remember the party of no and why they were called that? It was fascinating how that minority party got as much as they did. I wonder how they got it? ICE does not detain you because you're mistaken for an illegal alien; ICE detains you for obstructing their work. This makes some sense. The pressure is on to get rid of illegals. If you're not one, having your passport makes demonstrating that pretty easy. It probably isn't necessary - ICE isn't doing major round-ups, but targeting known persons unless you start interfering with the operation - but hey, it's a cautious approach. And it sucks that this is actually a fairly sensible - if probably unnecessary - move. But if someone wants to bitch about the need to prove citizenship while Latino because of ICE raids, they should bitch at the Uniparty who left the border open and caused the problem. Lady Gaga Stops Concert – Launches Fiery Attack on ICE
==================== But the world needs more Ice! What is happening to our manners? I read that Lady Gaga has launched a fiery attack on ICE—ICE! Why, in my day, ice was a courtesy. You put it in a glass to be polite! And now she’s against cold water? What’s next, lukewarm lemonade for criminals? I don’t understand these pop singers with their loud outfits and their hatred of perfectly good ice cubes. Posted by: Emily Litela at January 30, 2026 09:30 AM (xz8OS) 479

"Why the Democrats Fail in the Art of War" Yes, they do - against Trump, while his administrations do cleanup duty so the country doesn't completely unravel. But they await the open checkbooks*, as provided by Biden, along with mountains of their beloved, nonsensical, controlling rules that kept the classes where they belonged, as they had from O, and creep further towards communism. Hopefully, there will be others as strong as Trump in the near future. * The US Department of Labor had huge financial "losses" in training & unemployment funds, and needed stabilization of its Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation. The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, signed by President Biden, rescued the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) by providing over $69 billion in special financial assistance to protect distressed multiemployer pension plans. This legislation saved plans for over 1.2 million workers and retirees from insolvency, while also stabilizing the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), which was projected to become insolvent by 2026. Then do FEMA and scores of other agencies. Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at January 30, 2026 09:40 AM (NFX2v) 492
