Posted by: Retired Buckeye Cop is now an engineer at January 17, 2026 08:43 AM (pJWtt) --- I used to wonder why the Hebrew always rebelled against God in favor of what I thought at the time were imaginary beings. I very much bought into the worldview that God exists, none of the other gods did, and it was just stupid people being superstitious. But I now understand the reality of fallen angels, and that Zeus, Baal, Aphrodite, etc. were real, and are real. They can offer things in exchange for worship, and their commandments are much more in accord with base desires than those give to us by God. Heck, we are seeing this right before our eyes! Bishop Barron has greatly encouraged me with his denunciation of the Minnesota corruption. We need more of this and less whining about needing MOAR IMMIGRATION.
There is something particularly evil and outrageous about stealing from the poor. This is no mere graft, it is outright theft of the poor box. Money meant for food, clothing, shelter and medical assistance was outright stolen, and no one is even guilty about it. No one shows the slightest shame, they just brazen it out, act as if it's a problem with paperwork that could happen to anyone. I think about the homeless that rely on our local St. Vincent community and what they could do with a fraction of that money, and it makes my blood boil. Their total annual outlay is $40,000. That's it. No salaries, no benefits, all volunteer work, all money for clothes and direct support. What could a million dollars do? Liberal Christians need to be called out on their silence. We need to start talking in terms of what the stolen money could have done. How many families would have been fed for year? How many preschool children could have gotten free child care?
Use the left's framing to highlight their complicity with evil. "This money could have housed all the homeless in Minnesota. All of them." I can say right now based on what my wife reports, that we could have bought clothes for every homeless person in all the missions and shelters in Lansing for a fraction of that money. Every one of them. Probably built an apartment complex for them all as well. Billions of dollars! Every medium town in Michigan could have had a supervised halfway-house facility with staff to help recovering addicts. That's what they pissed away. MAKE THEM OWN IT. We observed Maduro for months, wholly documented his movements and built mockups of his bunker and the base it under. Then, when conditions presented themselves, snatched him in about 45 minutes... start to finish. If the goal here is really to remove Iran's mullahs from power I would imagine "remove" is the operative term. Trump took some questions yesterday as he was leaving the White House for Florida. He was asked why he didn't take out the entire leadership team in Venezuela and instead left people like Delcy Rodrigues in charge. He answered by saying what many of us have been talking about. After Saddam was taken down the entire Iraqi government was also taken down. What we got instead was ISIS. Trump seems to have learned from previous nation building exercises. Good morning, beloved Horde.
I (We) need prayer. We are on the verge of foreclosure. My husband recently began doing delivery driving and it looked like the extra income was going to help us fulfill our payment adjustment trial period so we wouldn't go into foreclosure. Last weekend, a young driver with poor judgment caused an accident that totaled my husband's car. Our insurance will not cover it because he was using it to make deliveries. The delivery company only covers accidents caused by their drivers. Fortunately, it looks like the at-fault driver has insurance. But since we had a lien on the vehicle, all settlement money goes to our lender, we still owe them the rest of the loan amount, and my husband now doesn't have a car to make the extra money we need to pay the mortgage. I am heavily discouraged. Fortunately, our church is helping but it's a small church. There are other contributing factors to the situation that I have felt aren't appropriate to share here because they involve our household dynamics. Let's just say the factors might make it difficult for our church family to keep up with our needs, which are our own personal responsibility anyway. 139 So. About GiveSendGo.
I've wondered about the implications for myself as a Christian who tries to view God as my provider. It seems inappropriate for someone with that view to "beg." But maybe it's not begging. Also, I didn't stab a teenager or assault an ICE agent. Our particular stupidity is the type that doesn't garner much sympathy on those sites. Posted by: Emmie -- be strong and courageous! at January 17, 2026 09:32 AM (FMtrg) I think the degenerates prefer GoFundMe. I'm an apostate but I don't think asking for help in a time of need betrays any tenets of the Christian faith or general ethos that I'm aware of. And I'm not sure but I think there are privacy settings so only the people you want to see it can see it, if that's a concern for you. Now that it is clear that the military is siding with the regime, it will be necessary to neutralize all military forces in Iran; and that is not going to be easy and will take a sustained campaign.

Many people have an irrational fear of it, and therefore let themselves get trapped by debt when there are ways to negotiate your way out of it, arrange settlements, etc. I got credit counseling many years ago and it really opened my eyes in how to prioritize payments. It also brought to mind the famous saying: "If I owe a bank a million dollars, I have a problem. If owe the bank 100 million dollars, the bank has a problem." We sorted out the creditors, prioritized some, defaulted purposely on others and then arranged long-term payment plans and settlements. Often the problem is structural, which was the case back then. Change the structure, and things get better. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at January 17, 2026 09:46 AM (ZOv7s) 168

“November 6 was the day that I had to inform my daughter that I'd been given a prognosis of six months to live. It came as one hell of a shock to me. It's a long sordid tale of heart failure and sudden decline. The plan now is for me to move into the Mayo Clinic, next Wednesday, with no determination as to when I may leave. The first step is to install an Impella heart pump to keep me alive until a heart becomes available. It could be a matter of weeks, it could be three months, it could be six months, and I will be in 24/7 residence in the transplant ward at Mayo until then.” It looks like heart failure, with the hope of a heart transplant. So I pray for God to guide her DRs in healing her and to give her strength during her stay. Posted by: banana Dream at January 17, 2026 10:07 AM (fIo92) 221

While everyone is rightly focused on Minnesota, I would bet there is Minnesota-level fraud going on in every state in the country. At least in every Democrat-run state. But likely in many GOPe-run states and within Democrat-run cities in Republican-run states.
Elon Musk @elonmusk Fraudsters are taking advantage of SNAP aka "food stamps" by filing in 5 different states using dead people’s information and then selling the food stamps for money @amuse @amuse CORRUPTION: Some SNAP recipients have homes in five states and receive SNAP benefits in all five. We could probably crash with family, which would provide a roof over our heads (and drive me insane.) Rent in our area is higher than our mortgage payments.

How many Uber drivers are insured?
Posted by: no one at January 17, 2026 10:03 AM (qFwJc) Uber covers drivers from the point where they pick someone up to when they drop them off. But if driving to pickup that’s not covered. And of course that assumes the driver is using legal documents and not a fake license/registration. In which case there is no insurance. Given how many drivers barely speak a word of English my guess is most of them are using fake documents and hence have no coverage. Posted by: Insurance at January 17, 2026 10:11 AM (6Sz3L) 229

Lloyd at January 17, 2026 10:07 AM (ZOv7s) What I meant is that I don't think we're going to try snatch any of the Mullahs. Alive they have no value, dead they demonstrate the impotence of Allah. What I would do is clandestinely send weapons into Iran and allow an armed insurgency grow organically. Turn about is fair-play, and the Mullahs did the same $h!t to us in Iraq. Pres. Trump is putting pressure on the regime in Iran: * He publicly told them that any executions would have dire consequences for the regime -- the regime groveled a bit and claimed that they never had such plans. * He's imposed an extra 25% tariff on countries doing business with Iran -- that's going to put pressure on China particularly. * A carrier group is being sent to take station off the coast of Iran -- we will have Iran surrounded on 3 sides for air-strikes. I don't see us making a ground invasion of Iran. There's no need. The regime doesn't have any good options. Posted by: Retired Buckeye Cop is now an engineer at January 17, 2026 10:19 AM (pJWtt) 240

----------- Minnesota's level of fraud, while impressive, is going to be dwarfed by the levels in CA, NY, IL, NJ and so on. You simply do not generate $36trillion in debt without it. I keep saying this; it's the largest theft of generational wealth in history. Our political betters and their enablers stole it from us. Then used it to try and enslave us. That Minneapolis is currently the "only" hotspot boggles my mind. 200 million Americans, nationwide, ought to be in the streets stringing up politicians left and right. I doubt the administration would lift a finger to quell that sort of insurrection. Posted by: Martini Farmer at January 17, 2026 10:21 AM (U2OZr) 244
