The Morning Report — 1/14/26

SimurghFRY.jpg

Good morning kids. It's all well and good that President Trump has named a few Muslim Brotherhood branches overseas as terrorist organizations. Which should've been done ages ago but the existential threat to whatever shred of America as founded that still exists is right here.

When the Trump administration sent some 2,000 immigration agents to the Twin Cities area, they were met by activists who trailed their movements and harassed them outside their hotels. The activists are members of radical groups that together have received millions of dollars from the Left's premier foundations and dark money networks, including George Soros's Open Society Foundations, the Ford Foundation, the Tides Foundation, and the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a Washington Free Beacon review found.
At the center of the unrest is the Sunrise Movement, a left-wing group founded to fight climate change that has since directed its local chapters to fight the Trump administration. For Sunrise Twin Cities, that means tormenting ICE agents on the ground. The group holds in-person "action trainings" on how to "stop ICE & build a revolution." It also maintains a running list of the Twin Cities hotels housing ICE agents and organizes late-night "noise demonstrations" aimed at making it "impossible" for those hotels to operate.

It's a very short walk from childish pranks to disturbing the peace and then ultimately terrorism. The decomposing zombie who attempted to ram ICE agents in Minneapolis didn't just make a snap decision that led to her demise. She was propagandized to the point of brainwashing. No right thinking rationale person would have never put them in the position to be directly confronting law enforcement officers let alone attempt to kill them. They allowed themselves to be absorbed into a death cult to become cannon fodder. Cut off the money and you cut off the lifeblood of the cancer that is killing us from within.

Meanwhile, the citizens' uprising in Iran which has been going on for days has led to ever increasing violence and repression on the part of the Mullahs, which is in direct proportion I assume to the growing fear that their hold on power might at long last be at an end. Beyond crucial moral rhetorical and diplomatic support for the Iranian people, President Trump is upping the ante.

As the death toll from Iran’s crackdown on anti-regime protests reaches staggering levels — with families searching through body bags, over 10,000 arrested, and executions underway — President Donald Trump canceled all talks with Iranian officials, declared “help is on its way,” warned that regime killers “will pay a big price,” and urged protesters to “take over your institutions” against the brutal Islamic Republic theocracy, while the U.S. urged Americans to leave the country.

Is it bluster or will the President back up the tough rhetoric with concrete action, meaning military strikes on regime targets? There are pluses and minuses to be sure, as the erudite Michael Goodwin notes in his analysis of the situation...

American power can make itself known in various ways, as Teddy Roosevelt brilliantly outlined with his famous admonition to “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”

Truth be told, Donald Trump has never been a fan of speaking softly, but his Tuesday comments on the upheavals in Iran still managed to be close enough for now.. . .He noted that “hawkish U.S. policies toward Iran have historically empowered hardliners” and that military action “risks changing the subject from Iranians’ justified grievances against the regime to its international opponents,” namely Israel and the US.

“Trying to appropriate domestic opposition inside Iran risks undermining it,” he adds, and argues that “a pragmatic, hands-off approach should guide U.S. policy in the days ahead.”

Additionally, with Washington increasingly focused on the midterm elections, Trump is already facing domestic controversies, such as the ICE crackdown, and, most important, tough polling numbers on his handling of the economy.

A Real Clear Politics average of surveys taken in recent weeks shows 41% of respondents approving of his economic policies and actions, with 56% disapproving. . . Against that backdrop, and with events in Venezuela still unsettled, a military entanglement in Iran would probably not be popular at home.

That’s not to say the US should turn its back on the brutal regime’s crackdown. But the political reality is that the president can’t afford to turn his attention too far or too long from Americans’ kitchen table issues.

Elsewhere, In the most electrifying news from way out of left field, Associate Justice Kentanji Brown-25 Jackson is a complete embarrassment.

As you probably could have guessed, Jackson struggled through a series of nearly incomprehensible statements about sex, gender identity, and sports classifications. It was embarrassing.

“You have the overarching classification, you know, everybody has to be, um, uh, uh, play on the team that is the same as their sex at birth. Um, but then you have a gender identity definition that is operating within that. Meaning, a distinction, meaning that, um, for, uh, cisginger [sic] girls they can play consistent with their gender identity, w- for transgender girls, they can’t.”

It’s hilarious that Jackson stumbled over the pronunciation of one of the left’s favorite made-up words, all while failing to understand the difference between real girls and boys who pretend to be girls.

SCOTUS observers have noted that it was not a shining moment for those promoting the transexual madness and that sanity might actually prevail. But of course this is the Supreme Court and the preservation of Leftism and its pomps has been its priority, Heller and Dobbs among a few other rare exceptions notwithstanding.

Have a great day.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and a huge thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

8 I think I prefer the short news cycle. I'm already bored with ALL of the Minnisomalia revelations and stunts.

The Left are going to do whatever the Left does.

The Uniparty is going to fund raise and otherwise ignore anything of consequence and let society collapse on its own

The Administration is going to talk big and do little

The rest of us are just going to bitch and whine and then go back to whatever we were previously doing.

I think I'll get some work done once the covfefe turns up the inner motivation dial.

Exactly what I thought would happen. Since Good got blown away, the subsequent national MFM freakout and the riots in MN have now made ICE gun-shy. Which is exactly what the left counted on, and now they are going to triple down.

Expect no more dead protestors. Expect a number of dead ICE agents.

Do not expect Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act.

well, bluster is part of the man's DNA, so it's a constant factor. But it is cruel to keep promising the Iranian people help, and not coming thru. The Iranian revolution has arrived at the mass murder of the people phase. I don't understand the delay- maybe it's target selection, maybe it's domestic politics and polling, fear of press backlash, weak knees, whatever.

35 I believe the anti-ICE "professional protesters" come from a couple groups that get taxpayer dollars as non-profit social services. If not that source, one of the dozen or so billionaires who get into this sort of stuff.

Soros and Reid Huffman are two names that surface. But there's this guy; Neville Roy Singham, a US born billionaire who's currently in Singapore. He's aligned with the ChiComs. He's big time into anti-ICE.

So... perhaps indirectly, China is behind much of the unrest and supplying the funds to train these "professional protesters." No doubt they're being brainwashed into thinking nothing will happen to their passive resistance, other than a trip to the local police department where they'll meet up with someone from their group with the money to bail them out.

What they’re really championing is not judicial independence, but judicial supremacy. What we’re really seeing in the judiciary is not principle, but arrogance.”
=========================
Trump has fought so many battles for us, but this crucial fight against judicial supremacy is one where he needs Roberts help, and Congress's help (especially).

Unfortunately, Roberts is absolutely horrible at his job and should resign. He should give Trump a chance to appoint a decent Chief Justice, one suited to the battle.

46 The move to ban institutional investors from buying single-family homes is a step in the right direction, but it won’t fix the major housing affordability crisis we face right now.

I've been giving this more thought. I don't think it is enforceable and it does nothing to solve housing costs.

Institutional buyers serve a role (don't know if its vital) in lowering risk and adding stability. When the next down turn in the economy happens, similar to when people were walking away from mortgages, banks aren't good landlords and want to clear that inventory from their books. That is where institutional investors can come in.

If I have two buyers for my property, one is paying cash and the other makes me wait a month to MAYBE secure financing, al other things equal, I'm going with the cash buyer. I don't want yet another Populist government ban to get in the way.

Eliminating vectors for pension, insurance and hedge funds to stabilize their portfolios and establish performing income streams increases risk and raises prices.

Go attack local governments for policies that jack housing costs. Embrace new technology (3D printing of homes), kick out 50 million illegal aliens.

The reason that the spot price is rising so fast is that the actual price for a physical oz of silver is HIGHER than the paper spot price. That is not supposed to happen in an open market, it can only happen if the paper price is being manipulated by the commodities market banks who are caught trying to short silver prices and DO NOT HAVE THE ACTUAL SILVER TO DELIVER TO COVER THEIR SHORTS. There is another, shorter word for what is occurring in the paper silver market: "FRAUD".

I wouldn't say "stupid", but Mimetic Theory would definitely explain these numbers.

Mimetic Theory is a significant theme of the Apostles when they exhort the Elect to set their minds on things other than the interests of the world.

The English translations make copious use of the words "desire", "heart" and "temptations". Your will follows your desires. Your desires are external in the sense that for most people the desires come from someone/something else and are malleable therefore constant vigilance is needed to make sure that the influences on your desires come from God, not the world.

So given this Truth, if the world tells you to love criminal immigrants and hate ICE, then your own desires will bend that way.

Remove private equity and I have to work until I die. Am I supposed to just stash savings under the mattress, losing value every day due to inflation and eventually just being stolen from me by fire or theft?

No, it is invested in things like the building you work in, the factory that built your car, the liquidity that banks have to make you loans, the infrastructure for farmers to decide what to plant this year and a myriad of other things euphemistically called "private equity".

You expect me to trust the government to either steal from a worker or just print money out of thin air to cover the expenses of the last few years of my life, or do you want me to self-fund?

BREAKING NEWS
A United States Secret Service agent assigned to Vice President JD Vance has been placed on administrative leave following allegations that he disclosed sensitive and classified security information.
Agent Tomas Escotto was suspended after an undercover video released by independent journalist James O’Keefe allegedly showed him revealing operational details related to the Vice President’s protective detail. According to the footage, Escotto discussed Vice President Vance’s schedule and upcoming locations during an active tour—information that, if accurate, could pose a serious security risk.
In the video, Escotto also reportedly made political statements, claiming he voted for Joe Biden and expressing opposition to Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
The situation has raised significant concerns, as the Secret Service is expected to operate as a strictly nonpartisan organization. Any disclosure of protected operational details—regardless of political views—undermines public trust and could compromise the safety of elected officials.
The Secret Service has not yet released further details on the investigation.

Re SETI. It's always been a waste of time. The inverse square law vs signal to noise mean that any alien civilization would have to be beaming very strong signals right at us to be detected.

We've been broadcasting for over 100 years. What's the bubble of detection for our general isotropic signal leakage? 5, 20 light years max. Some of our more powerful beamed signals, like radar might be detectable 100 light years out or a little better.

The most powerful signals we've sent are the "planetary radar" experiments we've done, like with the old Arecibo dish. Very powerful tightly beamed radar bouncing off the planets to measure distance precisely and other things. Those might make it out to a few thousand light years, but only in the narrow beam width.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT WALKS FREE After KILLING 15-Year-Old Girl in Charlotte Hit-and-Run
A 15-year-old child is dead, and the man responsible is walking free.
According to emergency calls and witness statements, 40-year-old Julio Cesar Xocop-Vicente ran a stop sign in Charlotte and hit 15-year-old Amber Paris so hard that her body was lifted into the air. He didn’t stop. He didn’t check on her. He ran away on foot — later admitting he fled because of his immigration status.
Amber suffered two broken legs, internal bleeding, and major organ injuries. She was placed into a medically induced coma and passed away weeks later.
Vicente was arrested the next day… but released on just $10,000 bail despite being a flight risk. And while Amber was still in a coma fighting for her life, one of his charges — driving without a license — was dismissed.
After Amber died, his charges should have been upgraded to manslaughter or felony death by vehicle. That never happened. No new charges.

• Driving without a license (multiple times)

• Skipping court
• Violating probation

This man should have been deported after his earliest offenses.
He should have been held in custody long before this crash ever happened.
He should have been taken off the streets before he killed an innocent 15-year-old girl.
And Amber Paris should still be alive today.
A broken system protected a repeat offender — and failed a child who deserved a future.

What do you believe private equity is?

Banks aren't "private equity". The stock market isn't "private equity". The commodities market isn't "private equity".

Private equity exists to make money for the investors of the private equity fund. Great, YOU get to retire rich as the money managers you chose to get you money destroyed everything they touched in order to get 0.0001% more profit this quarter.

They're going to get reined in because they're fucking over everyone (except you, apparently). You can do it now, and easily, or you can wait and go hard.

188 BTW, there is a third way to this hatred for private equity.

There is asset tokenization which digitizes and fractionalizes ownership of real-world assets via blockchain-based tokens.

That increases liquidity and faster settlement, reduces operational and regulatory overhead and anyone with internet access can invest without relying on regional stock exchanges or brokers.

Sounds great, right? Now for $20 you can also be an investor in private equity and share a slice of the business.

Oh - its pushed by WEF. And this animosity towards "private equity" is also propaganized by WEF so that you will hate it and embrace tokenization.

Rather than just accepting the desire to hate something, you should ask why I am supposed to hate this thing I'm being propagandized to hate.

The findings of this case were revealed by the Department of Justice on Monday. Christopher Southerland, 43, of Glen Burnie, was arrested Friday after a federal indictment was unsealed in U.S. District Court, according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro. Authorities said the stolen devices were worth more than $150,000. According to the indictment, Southerland worked as a system administrator for the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

She told ICE officers she is disabled and needs to get to her doctor, up ahead.

The ICE-blocking drivers and a lot of drivers who don't want to be stopped by LEO all have a similar excuse memorized. "I'm going to get medicine my mother needs now!" "I'm not feeling well and am driving to the hospital!"

If police ultimately order them out of their vehicle for justified reasons some refuse and must be dragged out. When arrested, after voluntarily or involuntarily getting out of vehicle, many claim the cuffs are hurting them, they can't breathe, they're in pain and want to go to a hospital, etc.

I have not looked, but utube, facebook, X, and TikTok must have a crap-load of videos describing these tactics.

We've found 6000 exoplanets so far, and we've only just begun to look.

Think of it this way. Let the Milky Way be the continental US. We've been isolated and shut up inside our little house somewhere. We've just emerged and are looking for other houses like ours.

The detection window for those 6000 lie in a bubble maybe up to a 1000 miles around us. The bigger the building the farther out we can see.

We've found a some house-like things in a radius maybe 50 - 200 miles around us. And we're nowhere near finding all the little houses in that range. It's only when their lights on are own in just the right way to see.

But it was kind of sad. She started with Ruby killing Oswald as a formative event in her life. Meanders on to her sister's recent death. Along the way, sprinkling in drive-by Biblical references.
All to reach the crescendo that the "Mad King" is going to kill millions.
You see a mind fully pickled by marinating in 60 years of media news propaganda.

But what was sad is the real lament: She desperately wants to believe there is an afterlife, a Heaven. For her. For her sister. For Good.
But she just can't get there without ... proof.
Because woven underneath her whole article is an abject fear of death-- that this life must have (political) meaning and purpose, held sacred, because we don't know what comes next.

230 So when uncle Joe asked you at the Thanksgiving table if you would help him open up his service station by lending him a few thousand dollars, and you countered with, forget the loan, I want to be part-owner, that wasn't private equity? Right?

That's not what they're talking about and you know it.

They're talking about things like Blackstone - which buys whole subdivisions and turns them into slums - and Black Rock which buys companies, leverages them into debt to buy other companies, sells off the profitable parts and let's the rest burn.

I'm glad you're sitting pretty. You just sit tight and insist that you won't give up a single thing. I'm sure it'll all work out for you.

287 Trans Sports participation ranks incredibly high on the ignorant hicks' list of concerns unfortunately. There's a reason Republicans focus on this instead of how they're wrecking the economy, covering for pedophiles, and dabbling in starting WW3. It riles up their base of morons and gets them to the polls.

It's simply insane the amount of space this issue takes up considering it affects like 8 people. As much as I hate to say it, I really wish they hadn't brought suit in this legal climate. It's going to be harder to undo in the future.

So, what, we should keep "separate but equal" indefinitely? The Equality Act, which Democrats tried and failed to pass the last time they were in the Congressional majority, would have given trans women the right to participate in women’s sports. It would have done many other things as well, but sports were the main focus of controversy.

the system needs to change to be ‘classes’ of participants rather than gender-based. Most likely, this would be best if based on the levels of hormones that the players have in their bodies. Similar to how boxers have classes based on their weight.
