Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Claim: Delta Force Used Some Kind of Secret Sonic Weapon Against Venezuelan/Cuban Security Troops, Disorienting Them, Disabling Them, and Causing Their Noses to Erupt Into BleedingI don't know if this is true or not. Karoline Leavitt retweeted this story telling people: The US used a powerful mystery weapon that brought Venezuelan soldiers to their knees, "bleeding through the nose" and vomiting blood, during the daring raid to capture dictator Nicolas Maduro, according to a witness account posted Saturday on X by the White House press secretary. ... Moments later, a handful of helicopters appeared -- "barely eight," by his count -- deploying what he estimated were just 20 US troops into the area. But those few men, he said, came armed with something far more powerful than guns. "They were technologically very advanced," the guard recalled. "They didn't look like anything we've fought against before." What ensued, he said, was not a battle but a slaughter. "We were hundreds, but we had no chance," he said. "They were shooting with such precision and speed; it felt like each soldier was firing 300 rounds per minute."Well they are among the best-trained shooters in history. And they carry some really good guns. I have a video linked below about that. Then came the weapon that still haunts him. "At one point, they launched something; I don't know how to describe it," he said. "It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside." The effects were immediate and horrific. "We all started bleeding from the nose," he said. "Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn't even stand up after that sonic weapon -- or whatever it was." The White House did not immediately respond to a question regarding whether Karoline Leavitt's sharing of the post -- captioned, "Stop what you are doing and read this..." -- indicated the administration was verifying the veracity of the eyewitness account. ... The outmatched defenders were helpless as the small US unit wiped them out, the guard said. "Those 20 men, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us," he claimed. "We had no way to compete with their technology, with their weapons. I swear, I've never seen anything like it." The military has had directed energy weapons -- which neutralize targets using focused energy such as microwaves or laser beams -- for years, but this could be the first time it's been used in combat by the US, an ex-US intelligence source told The Post. China reportedly used a microwave weapon in 2020 against Indian soldiers during a border dispute in Ladakh. This sounds like it might be more powerful variant of the directed energy weapon that Russia is using against US diplomats -- so I'm glad that a bunch of Cuban mercenaries got hit with it.

And I bet someone in the administration leaked it to Qatar agent Tucker Carlson that Trump intended an "invasion" of Venezuela, again, so that they were expecting a conventional land invasion rather than a smash-and-grab at the presidential headquarters.

Our enemies can believe our special forces rode in on the backs of dragons if that's what it takes to get them to knock of the bullshit.
I'm a little concerned that if we set too much of a precedent of nabbing foreign leaders with minimal other casualties, particularly if we advertise the use of non-lethal weapons, we're going to be setting expectations too far in that direction the next time the situation calls for killing a large pile of whomever. "Why didn't you use stun beams?" will become the international "Why didn't you just shoot the gun out of his hand?" Posted by: Methos at January 12, 2026 05:37 PM (vSvIl) 45

Having said that, there MIGHT have been a microwave weapon used. I've seen the test videos of that. However, it tends to make people run away to get out of the field. They don't just drop and start bleeding. Of course, I guess you could turn it up and get that effect, maybe. But the one I saw was pintel-mounted with a big generator. But, yeah, most likely this guy pissed his pants when DF showed up and he had to explain why he had a bloody nose instead of a bullet between the eyes. They are absolutely fucking unreal. There's a range here with an old west style town shooting course. 45 steel targets over about 70 yards or so, you're moving between doors and windows. My best time I think was like 2 minutes and some small change. A former D Boy showed up and shot the entire thing with zero misses in like 45 seconds. I almost gave up the shooting sports that day. It's like tossing the football in the backyard with your son and then Tom Brady shows up. Posted by: ballistic at January 12, 2026 05:47 PM (5aZAZ) 111

some of the Spanish channels on YouTube are saying Maduro was a prisoner of the Cubans in his gilded palace. It is fun to hear that, though I suspect it was a bit more complicated than that.
If Felix had rolled up Che in Bolivia instead of Che getting shot, I suspect we would know lots more about Cuba's actions on the revolutionaries in South America. This time we have Maduro who can't risk going home and apparently owes the Russians and the Chinese gobs of money. I doubt he is going to be a champ in this situation, though he may wind up not hanging himself. Posted by: Kindltot at January 12, 2026 05:47 PM (rbvCR) 113

The spooks, DARPA, and golly knows who else have some pretty wacky stuff by now, I’d reckon. They were spending huge sums on electronic mind “jamming” synthetic telepathy,, mind reading etc in the 1950s. A lot of media stories in the 90s about “less than lethal” crowd control, area denial they termed it. Some sort of heat ray, that makes folks very eager to unass the AO. Those sonic weapons have to be serious shit. I made the mistake of walking directly across and in front of a bass player's rig during a sound check one time. He was running a folded 18" speaker cabinet with a long throw 18" Cerwin-vega speaker. I don't even know what note he hit, but it immediately turned me into jello and dropped me to my knees, it was like being electrocuted without the voltage. I never experienced anything like that. It felt like I was going to melt into the floor.

This sounds like it might be more powerful variant of the directed energy weapon that Russia is using against US diplomats -- so I'm glad that a bunch of Cuban mercenaries got hit with it.
_______________________________ Havana Syndrome, I believe is what they ended up calling it. It's fitting that the Cubans ended up on the receiving end this time around. What eventually became diagnosed as Havana Syndrome first reared it's ugly head in Cuba with a bunch of American and Canadian diplomats. Since then, China has been documented as using ultrasound weapons in India. And other occurrences have occurred in DC, Europe, and hotel rooms in the States. I think it's a pretty good bet Russia was behind the Cuba incident (the first one). But, all major powers are playing with the concept now. Only, it looks like the US worked out the kinks, and using it on Cuban bodyguards was no accident. It was a billboard sized message. Posted by: Orson at January 12, 2026 06:09 PM (dIske) 226

But, suffice it to say that there are 2 reasons the 1959 Les Paul is the most desirable solid body electric guitar ever made; 1. Mike Bloomfield, 2. Peter Green. ALL other players who adopted the Burst did so because of the aforementioned players. Nothing else is a surprise, except the Cuban mercs as palace guard -- so Maduro would send money and oil, and they would send mercs to protect him since he could trust no one else. It explains the money and oil sent to Cuba, which I never really understood. And I thought the small boat campaign was obvious after we found out about the raid. Obviously I jest....a little. But the abject adoration that Peter Green gets for...what...3? years in Fleetwood Mac has floored me since the early '80s when hipsters and posers wanted to pretend that they were taking music "seriously". Green's version of FMac did "Well oh Well" and....crickets...and Lindsay Buckingham performed the song better live when he joined the band. Sorry, I can get onboard with pretty much every single echo of a note that Jimmy Page played on Led Zeppelin I, so its not a question of "age" or "time period". THe video on how it happened is partially flawed.
No C-17 can take off from the USS Iwo Jima. Madero was taken to Guantanamo Bay, then flown to the US. And I thought he went to NYC, not Miami. He landed in NY State. So two major flaws. So far. Plus the overhead pictures show he was taken from his hideaway site inside a military base, not the Palace. The damage seen in the shots is consistent with this. I was in charge of a oil rig near the Oklahoma panhandle when a B-1 bomber buzzed our derrick.
It was certainly sub-sonic, but the roar and the view of the plane arrived nearly simultaneously. The tower man was massively startled and missed the elevators (tubing clamps). I believe that derrick was 93' high. The plane definitely banked around our position. I suspect their radar hit on something in their training area that was not "supposed" to be there, so they performed a safety check. Bloomfield left it with a Club Owner in BC sometime right before his death. He was scheduled to play 4 nights?, maybe...bailed after the 1st night. When the Club Owner finally tracked him down he was back home in San Francisco. Said he 'Didn't like the scene there' and it is reported he wanted to go home and watch TV. Though that last bit might just be an off-hand comment taken out of context. Anyway, Bloomfield had been paid up front for the Gig and told the Club Owner to sell off his gear to get his money back. I think someday we might see a certain irony in using focused sound as a weapon. As the ability to target and calibrate gets ever more controllable, it would not surprise me if focused sound becomes a more instrumental form of medicine beyond your usual Ultrasound equipment.
Imagine if you could calibrate and focus sound to destroy cancer cells and nothing else within a body. The same with viruses or bacteria. Chemotherapy and radiation treatments don't discriminate, and destroy other facets of the body. As they stand, they are barbaric. Sound offers a more precise and discriminating option. I would think that was part of a greater plan to evict Cuba, China, and Russia from Venezuela. The blockades also reduced the money coming in to pay all the criminal henchmen. It seems obvious that many were compromised - how else could Trump be talking about running the place, without having actually taken it over, militarily? I really don't doubt that such a weapon exists. Haven't we heard about a similar thing - a microwave weapon - that has been used on crowds in certain places in the world? What slipped right under everybody's noses was basically the weapon from the movie "Real Genius" that was apparently used in the Xmas eve incident in Nashville in 2020. Did anybody really believe that some guy just happened to park in front of the service entrance to one of the 8 top telecommunications hubs in the US, to blow himself up? A security camera maybe a mile away recorded a beam of light extending up into the clouds, when the explosion happened. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions when it comes to scheduling marijuana, of course, but I'm certain somebody with cancer could care less what you think of their habits, or what makes them feel better even if only slightly.
As for getting good pain medication in lieu of weed, thanks to the OxyContin epidemic it's extremely difficult to get a prescription for opioids these days for most people. And besides, it's not just about some mild pain relief, cannabis has been shown to help with the nausea cancer patients experience during chemo and other procedures. This all reminds me of my uncle, who was one of those victims of OxyContin (got his first prescription after a major truck accident in the late 90s) who turned into a heroin addict to get his fix a decade or so later after it proved impossible to get Oxy any longer. The man was dying of lung cancer, had only a few months to live, and the people around him were complaining that he had a friend come by and hook him up for his last fixes while on his deathbed. Seriously, at that point, what difference does it make? You think the dying person cares whether their "relief" is legal, or approved by you personally? Posted by: Boss Moss at January 12, 2026 06:11 PM (9cHSL) Got to do that once for an airshow in the KC-135R. Maxed out 250 knots approaching the air field, pull the throttles to idle as you get to the runway and swoosh on by almost silent. Pull back at the end of the runway and climb out until you reach just above stall speed and push the engines back up. Those high-bypass engines were just a whisper as we went by the crowd 100 feet off the deck. Only way you can impress people, really, in what's essentially a 707, unless you can get them in the air and show them a refueling. Posted by: GWB at January 12, 2026 06:35 PM (JJOjf) 372

There are a lot of tales of where the Bloomfield is and who has had a chance to buy it over the years.
None have been confirmed. Mostly just people claiming the guitar was offered to them. But no new photos have surfaced of it, other than one photo of a luthier who claimed to have a customer come in wanting a refret on it. Somehow, he snuck a shot of it and it ended up in a back issue of Vintage Guitar. I talked to Carlos Santana once, about a Dumble he wanted to buy, and he claimed he had Bloomfield's LP. But when I drilled him on it, it turned out to be the 54 Goldtop he (Bloomfield) had traded for the Burst. Posted by: garrett at January 12, 2026 06:36 PM (ZcsJV) 377

Trump has a definite style. He is not afraid of risk, but he seems to really savor the risk of public condemnation.
Past presidents are terrified of risk and so they telegraph everything they plan to do and check to see if it will be poorly received. Then they do the least risky operation as if our adversaries could start a war against us if we step over some line. Trump just blows shit up. All his risk though is in the public relations side of things. He DGAF and it is glorious. Posted by: bob (moron incognitus) at January 12, 2026 06:37 PM (WkpGI) 383

----- I was a huge Page fan back at the time. And I thought the Outrider album was a missed opportunity. He should have picked a singer and tried to cultivate a "sound" out of the experience. Obviously I have no idea. Do I hope this tale is true? Yes, I do. I want the world to fear the US military.
A few years ago I remember reading about the Rod of God and other weapons...the ones they admitted to having. Now there are probably more weapons with power unheard of and less collateral damage to others. I read of one targeting one man in a busy, populated market somewhere in the ME. He was there and then he was pink mist. No other damage. Just here one minute and vaporized the next. Therefore I believe this Clancy novel.
