"America First:" Stop Taking Any Action Against Any Hostile Foreign Regime, Focus on Fentanyl Smuggling
Also "America First:" Don't Take Hostile Action Against the World's Biggest Narcoterrorist States

The "America First" clowns both want an end to drug smuggling from foreign countries, and a policy of pink pacifism toward the foreign dictators arranging the bulk of drug smuggling into the US.

They are incoherent. They are just angry and unreasoning and pissed of at everything, and frankly, you shouldn't listen to people who get off on their own omnidirectional rage to the exclusion of any capacity for rational thought.

Maduro says he's ready to talk.

Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro is striking a suddenly conciliatory tone toward Washington after a reported CIA drone strike targeted a cartel-linked docking area inside his country, claiming Caracas is now "ready" to negotiate with the United States on drug trafficking -- and even dangling access to Venezuela's oil sector as leverage.

In a sit-down interview recorded on New Year's Eve with Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet and aired Thursday on state television, Maduro said the U.S. government has long known Venezuela is open to talks, insisting that if Washington wants a note-for-note agreement to combat narcotics flows, "we're ready."

He went further, suggesting that American energy firms could return in force, saying Venezuela is open to U.S. oil investment "whenever they want it, wherever they want it and however they want it," explicitly referencing past dealings with Chevron.

The remarks come amid an aggressive U.S. pressure campaign that has seen at least 35 American strikes on suspected drug-smuggling vessels across the Caribbean and eastern Pacific since early September, operations U.S. officials say have killed more than 115 suspected traffickers.

I do not believe he's ready to talk due to Trump following Tucker Carlson's pinko pacifist plan of just being nice to Venezuela. I think he's ready to talk because Trump is using the US military to blow up his drug boats and seize his "Dark Fleet" terrorist oil ships.

The "America First" movement is a Blame America First movement. They claim that all hostility the US encounters abroad is due to US meddling.

Or Jews. Obviously.

There is no difference between their propaganda and the propaganda of ANSWER, Code Pink, and the Communist Party of the US.

6 The most important part of the "Speak softly, but carry a big stick" was the stick.

Because it doesn't matter HOW you talk when you're willing to back it up. And when you've made it very clear you will use the stick, just a soft warning is all that is needed.

We Our rulers have not had the will to use our stick for a long time.

I'm pretty sure we're going to need a lot of harsh language that is backed up by harsh actions before we can return to speaking softly.

But of course, that gives the ruling class the vapors. Amusingly, the harsh speech bothers them much more than the actions.

Yes, but the point is that "America First" is such a vague slogan that people without any ideological training are liable to fall for cons who use that phrase.

I think a big issue is that most people can't tell realist foreign policy from idealist. Opposing Wilsonian nonsense (Bush, Obama and Biden were all Wilsonians) does not mean absolute pacifism. Jacksonian, Hamiltonian or Madisonian foreign policy (all Walter Russell Mead terms that could be applied to people as disparate as Truman and Reagan) does not try to reshape the world according to ideals, but does use US power in pursuit of clear American goals.

20 Don't know if I'm ready to pull out the pom-poms just yet. We have been fighting this war on drugs for decades and the drugs keep winning. Doesn't matter if we beat the Columbians, Mexicans, nor now the Venezuelans.

Demand will always drive supply.

That said, as long as there are not boots on the ground in Venezuela, that I'd be fine with some drone strikes.

By the time foreign countries have the will and the way to do the same to us, I'll be long gone...

What I disagree with is WHICH meddling did it.

The other day I was watching a YouTube video by some guy called "Asmongold," whom I later learned is a super-popular "right-wing influencer" on social media.

He seemed OK for a while, with decent opinions, but then out of the blue, right in the middle of the video, he started saying snarky anti-Israel things.

I was like, WTF? That's when I looked him up and discovered he was famous. But I guess he's one of the Candace-Owens-friendly anti-Israel "right-wingers," whom I find incomprehensible and mystifying.

Dudes, either choose one side or the other. If you want to be anti-Semitic, there's plenty of room for you on the Left. The Trumpian pro-semitic Right has no room for you.

During a phone call, Trump reportedly issued an ultimatum to Maduro: resign and leave the country immediately, in return for a guaranteed evacuation for himself and his family.

45 I’ll call bullshit. Maduro is knee deep in the drug trade and terrorism. He’s part of the group who believes that drug dealing will is one asymmetric tactic against the US. By the way, that includes China who is financing a lot of the illicit activity. He is also linked directly to terror groups who are using his country for training and as a jump off point for domestic infiltration. He’s only trying to buy time because the tanker fleet is the last of his finance options and he wants to stall. We should just keep blowing up all of his drug ops and then go to work on what’s left of his oil infrastructure.

77 Ha, ha. Maduro thinks he's still dealing with Biden whose admin were his friends. Trump should ignore the narcoterrorist and keep blowing their shipments out of the water.

As for investing in Venezuelan oil, not as long as Maduro and his Iranian, Russian and Chinese advisors have a say.

79 There's also the disputed land grab by Maduro. Land claimed by Guyana and apparently rich in oil deposits. Guyana hasn't the military to stand up to Venezuela. If the US was to "mediate" that dispute in Guyana's favor, it might be a worthwhile gambit.

If not, and the US subjugates Maduro or his successor, then the oil is still on the table.

And Iran get's booted out of the region either way.

The Palis tried to use their same schtick on the Soviets...taking a Soviet diplomat prisoner.

The Soviets responded by grabbing some Palis and sending pieces of them back to the Palis noting the longer it took to release their guy the less pieces their guy would have attached to him.

And...the Palis let the guy go and never messed with them again...

Venezuela depends on Iran to get around sanctions using their refinery services. Iran depend on that business to, also, get around sanctions. Russia recently signed an energy and security agreement with Venezuela to, ALSO, get around sanctions currently in place.

Trump seems to want regime change in Venezuela, Iran to collapse internally, and Russia to be more open minded in the Russia/Ukraine negotiations.

Russia is NOT going to give an inch on the war, and they see no reason why they should. The narrative people hear from mainstream media (and Ukraine fed sources) that Russia is at some sort of stalemate is fiction.

Since you earlier claimed that everything in our effort had failed since WW2, I'll start there:
-Guatemala (the CIA coup was probably unnecessary, but Guatemala never became Nicaragua or a Haitian basket case)
-Several coups in South Korea that we at least winked at
-Sukarno getting shitcanned in Indonesia (might have kept the country going Communist)
-Iran in 1953 (took 25 years to fail, and might not have if Peanut Head had not been President)
-Congo/Zaire - I don't mourn Lumumba much
-Several military regimes in South America, including Brazil, Chile and Argentina
-Grenada
-Panama
-Honduras and Paraguay in the 21st Century
-Egypt (albeit correctly an earlier fuck-up by Obama

It's perfectly possible, even if Clinton, W. Obama and Biden were too retarded to do it correctly.

Yep. Estimates are roughly 800k to 1 million of our illegals come from Venezuela and the criminals hide out among the other illegals. He has also destabilized both Colombia and Brazil by his illegals setting up shop there and also threatened US oil concessions in Guiana to the extent he was lining his troops on the border to take the oil rich parts by invasion.

Piece of shit directly affecting US interests and destabilizing the whole Caribbean region.

148 Why is Maduro in this car?

Which brings me to wondering why "influencers" are always in their cars???

To prevent ID of location? Better lighting and acoustics? Eating fast food? Locked out of the house as they are so annoying?

I have always wondered about this. I am a person who is highly insulted with my own phone if it flips to a selfie when I am trying to take photos.

Maybe in 2026 I will record myself, in our parked car, with a seatbelt, a video to send our sons for a joke. Maybe wear a paper mask. Discuss tape worms or road kill that can still be eaten.

Social media is making people retards. I stand by this, y'all.

I also like, now and then, watching without sound, crazy women trying to sell a cosmetic product. Lots of strange facial behavior and hand waving. Note: sound off.

I only see this now and then when bored and looking at Pinterest. I once looked up one product, researched it, and it appeared to be basically airplane glue. Which would explain the women's behavior sniffing that while clogging their pores.

You know, those "patriots" that blame everything on America.
--------------------------
The Ron Paul aren't leftists. But they are political idealists. While Dims are in the White House we mistake them for allies, because they make critiques of Biden et al. that aren't bad.

However, once Trump is in office, they begin trying to gum up the works anytime something is getting done, because we aren't living up to what they think our ideals are (even though no society ever is pure living up to its "ideals").

This isn't new. Read some of the Anti-Federalist Papers. People remember the pro-Bill of Rights stuff that won out, but a lot of arguments were hysterical. Patrick Henry was claiming that the Constitution would enslave us, and a lot of arguments were for waiting for a better proposed Constitution (in spite what we got being the result of months of contentious compromise). Such people never accomplish anything and are mostly in the way.

A good point, and a way to try to differentiate Wilsonian crap from just doing great power diplomacy.

Overthrowing Gaddafi or Mubarak in 2011 was the most sort of Wilonianism, because it was forcing out people who kept thheir countries under control and weren't bothering their neighbors (anymore, in Gaddafi's case). Even Saddam makes some sense by comparison (just the execution was hot garbage, and occupying Iraq would not have been a good idea even if competent people had tried it).

The "America First" slogan has been destroyed by a concentrated and well financed effort on X and other social platforms. (almost certainly financed by Soros, Qatar, and the CCP, as well as the left in its various guises) They realized that attacking Trump directly was not working, so they recruited quite a few "influencers" (Like Bannon and Tucker and Candace) to push the line that "America First" mean total international pacificism plus hate all jews and Hitler was right, and oh yeah Erica Kirk secretly arranged Charlie's killing because Charlie really loved Candace and Erica wanted to make Candace feel really bad.

and if you don't believe all of that well of course you're not "America First" now.

177 The problem with fentanyl is that most drugs sold on the street contain fentanyl. It’s added to every other street drug (CO police estimates about 70% of street drugs in the state contain fentanyl). A lot of the fentanyl overdoses happen when another drug is taken, or two combined, in which the taker had no idea they are taking fentanyl. This is what happened with that actor from “The Wire.”

Fentanyl ODs will decline only if drug dealers stop cutting it into their supplies of other drugs.

Worse things are waiting. Modern chemistry has created some monstrous drugs, some of which are on the shelves of your local crappy stop and go.

Example, Tianeptine is an atypical tricyclic antidepressant that is sold in European, Asian, and South American countries to allegedly treat anxiety, depression, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Known as Gas Station Heroin.

Another winner sold on stop n go shelves,

Kratom is a tropical tree (Mitragyna speciosa) native to Southeast Asia.

The leaves contain psychoactive compounds, primarily mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, which can produce stimulant-like effects at low doses and opioid-like effects at higher doses, including sedation, pain relief, and euphoria.

And then you have the ultra high synthetic THC stuff on the shelves.

"Artificial THC, more accurately referred to as synthetic cannabinoids or synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists (SCRAs), are lab-made chemicals designed to mimic the effects of THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis.

This was the stupidest thing in the entire world. Thanks Hillary/Obama.

For those that don't know, we made a deal with Khadafi/Qudafi (nobody knows how to spell his name) that was basically, you don't pursue nuclear weapons and shut the fuck up and we will keep others from attacking you and we will buy your oil. He complied and was well on his way to growing old and dying. We then ousted him while his pants were down. This means nobody can trust America ever again. He is a terrorist, yes, but we were the ones that reneged on the deal, not him. We could have just run the clock out on him and people would trust us even if they don't agree with us.

The left keeps calling us and Trump Hitler but striking a deal with Khadafi and then killing him was the most Hitlerian move by Hillary and Obama.

The term has it's place. Mostly in Colombia, where Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel used terrorism to directly control most of the country for years. 235 Kratom is a tropical tree (Mitragyna speciosa) native to Southeast Asia.

Was going to take a rare nap when our granddaughter did; but her family rudely came off the ski slopes and woke us up after 10min to take her home.

Announced to my husband I don't care what we eat tonight & that I am a zombie. Scared to nap because then I will be awake at 1am listening to '70's rock & roll and irritating the man who is stuck with me.

Watched the end of the Ole Miss/GA game and totally loved that insanity! That's how football should always be played!

I should say that the game is a total surprise to me that GA lost. Also that I attended Ole Miss for a total of two weeks in my junior year! I know I would have been Homecoming Queen had I not been anti sorority during rush & left (due to a friend leaving, bizarre story). My parents were very shocked to see me arrive that night, let me tell you! I was then quickly enrolled in another college where I only passed a travel study program to London.

The James Bond mythos relied on a series of international ubervillain organizations (iirc Spectre, Smersh and Quantum) but in reality a lesser form of this thing has emerged, because it made sense to them to work together. The two big sources of cash are Oil, and especially getting around sanctions, which Russia, Iran, and Venezuela are all engaged in, and next the illegal drug trade which provides a great deal of capital for Venezuela, Columbia, China, the Cartels, and also Hezbollah (and through them Hamas)

So all of these bad actors are linked behind the scenes. An assault on one of them is an assault on all - and an assault on the ways they raise cash, Oil and illegal Drugs, is to stab straight to the heart of them all.

Actually we do not know what the long term effects are and you are a essentially a human test subject now.

Delta 8 is synthetic and the chemicals bear little resemblance to cannabiods from nature. Kratom in gas station format is purified and has whatever additives from Chicoms and others peddling the shit to spice up the effect.

I knew a guy that basically quit his job as a plumber's helper at $30 bucks per hour just to do kratom all day. He spent all his paycheck on it and it fried him essentially.

He dropped down to ad hoc regular construction just so he could work stoned doing concrete cleanup, etc. where some contractors will hire whatever they can get to do non skilled dirty work.

277 @259...I love that the Somolians in MN are now pretending to send their little nitwitted spawn to daycare. In a hurry! Claiming they were off for "the holidays."

Right. I am pretty sure you don't celebrate Christmas!

Then the buck toothed "spokesman" freak with his big ole head and nerd glasses. He's so inbred he's almost a gerbil.

Nick Shirley should be hired by President Trump to assist Musk and end this fraud and theft of the USA forevermore.

Stupid Biden. How much $ kickbacks did he get?

The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem of WWII was both a Not See and Islamic. Thoroughgoing piece of shit he was but his rancid influence lives on in places like Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Poor Steve Martin. Apparently his parents really screwed him up according to one of his ex wives that saw that first hand.

I remember reading that he was the dude that gave the hitler the idea of the death camps. The jist was that hilter originally just wanted the jews out of the country, but this mufti asshole basically convinced him to just kill them all instead of tying up a shit ton of resources relocating them. Yeah, a serious piece of shit he was.

Now I'm picturing Maduro waking up in his bed on Christmas morning to find a present left by Special Forces:

A horse's head with "Ho, Ho, Ho, now I have a cruise missile too!" painted on it.

Topped off with a fancy bow, of course, because why not?

284 I'd trade for Cuba and Greenland for one of our unpopular Blue states. I realize there are good morons and 'ettes who live in some of them, so I won't say my top choices.

I want to keep Cuba as it is but spiffed up. Keep the '50's cars, which I think are cool. Improve the beaches. Send those in Gitmo to El Salvador.

Still not sure about Greenland other than the rare earth mineral stuff.

Have we gotten back the Panama Canal yet? I am a bit off today (not a bit, a ton exhausted).

California for Greenland and Oregon for Cuba.

288 The end summation is why a lot of us who remember the America First movement up through WWII were less than thrilled when Trump embraced the slogan, even though we liked everything else about Trump.

I guess we were right about it being a bad slogan.
