"MS-NOW's" Ratings Crash After Separation from Garbage Network NBC

Their rebrand didn't help.

MSNBC recently decided to rebrand and changed its name to MS Now which sounds like a fundraiser for a disease or the old portal for Microsoft.

Did the ratings improve? Not so much.

According to Nielsen Media Research, released on Monday (December 15), Fox News averaged 2.72 million primetime viewers and 287,000 viewers in the key Adults 25-54 demo in 2025. This was up 14 per cent in total viewers and 18 per cent in the demo compared to 2024.

In comparison, MSNBC (now MS NOW) averaged 923,000 total viewers (down 25 per cent on 2024) and 81,000 demo viewers (down 39 per cent), and CNN averaged 580,000 total viewers (down 15 per cent) and 105,000 demo viewers (down 29 per cent).

MS Now lost 25% of its overall viewers in one year and 39% of its younger viewers.

At this rate, I don't know how much longer it's going to last.


MSNBC -- "MS-NOW" -- was forced to mention the exploding scandal.

You'll never guess how they played it.

Unless you guessed "it's a racist ploy by white supremacists to weaponize the government against minorities for political reasons." In that case, you did guess it.

By the way, that's the same perfectly-qualified non-DEI hire who believed that if Michael Bloomberg had given the $500 million he spent on his 2016 campaign for president to the voters, every American would have received a million dollars.

And they say that DEI teachers are leaving students unprepared for basic math!

And this "newspaper" supposedly covers Ground Zero of the foreign pirate fraud scheme.

Gee I wonder why they're refusing to cover it.

I think he's a local MN guy doing actual investigative journalism.

The hard bit now will be what he does with his newfound fame. Does he stick to doing local stories or become to fraud what Andy Ngo is to Antifa? If so, he'll be an asset for years to come.

Otherwise he'll get sucked into doing the podcast schtick and be spouting lunacy in a few years' time. We ought to warn young people on the right about this problem.

One example, a MN voter can "vouch" for up to 8 other people and get them voting rights even if none of them even have an ID. This comes in handy in a state that also allows people to register to vote on election day.

I find the older I get, the less bs I'm willing to tolerate. And everyone should watch PBS.

A common stereotype is that ALL Boomers are conservative. This is true, in conservative parts of the country, but not otherwise.

GenX is more to the right than Boomers, per 2024 election data. GenX delivered the highest percentage of voters for Trump of any demo.

I find a lot of what people mass blame on Boomers, actually applies more to Gen X. I've found the progression of Gen X to be incredibly disappointing.

The Joe Rogan Experience is where some people get their news from. How anyone can get information from a four-hour dronefest made to shill supplements is beyond me.

20-30 years ago they did the same thing with Rush Limbaugh. But at least Rush had something akin to charisma.

That's the bigger story: younger people have largely abandoned traditional TV news entirely. Which gives a better context as to why MSNOW is pushing their podcasts so hard right now and pulling in more podcasters as pundits.

Because you cannot run statistical analysis using units of one. I learned how to use factor analysis and the later cluster analysis for projects. Basically age cohorts are used in political analysis because political socialization occurs when one is young from family and friends at the time. These age cohorts share key events such as Vietnam, Watergate, The Carter Presidency, the Civil Rights Movement, abortion being legalized, birth control pills, yadda yadda yadda.

Later generations or age cohorts then react to the older generations and what they did and they point to different events that were commonly experienced by that age cohort. Boomers reacted to the Greatest Generation and the Silents. So Gen X reacted against the Silents and Boomers and so on. Now Gen Z is reacting to Millennials.

You have to break the filibuster to do it and the votes aren't there for that yet. So the next best way is to kill off teh fraudulent voter registrations which is why DoJ is suing all the blue states and a few red ones like GA to get rid of non existent, dead, moved, or illegal voters (felons, non citizen immigrants and illegals, etc.).

I am one of the younger boomers and yet I feel a lot of sympathy for the yutes. The world that I grew up in became progressively worse in society and government compared to when I was a kid.

It wasn't all the fault of the Baby Boom but not enough was done to fix the issues when it became their time to govern. Separation of powers is going to make any enforcement of this subpoena unenforceable, if it ever comes. It won't.

It was a show, failure theater. The only thing Congress can do to affect the judiciary is budgetary and impeachment, and impeachment is a joke and Congress simply gave up using the budget that way forever ago.

The only realistic hope is the writ of mandamus progressing against him, pulling him off of Trump-related cases. And I'd put that at, maybe, 10%.
