Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 12/29/25![]() Israel on Friday announced that it has formally recognized Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office. . . The statement said the declaration was made “in the spirit of the Abraham Accords,” the U.S.-brokered normalization agreements initiated under President Donald Trump. Netanyahu congratulated Abdallah and praised his leadership, citing a shared commitment to stability and peace. Netanyahu invited the Somaliland president to make an official visit to Israel. Abdallah, according to the statement, thanked Netanyahu for what he described as a historic decision and expressed appreciation for Israel’s efforts in combating terrorism and promoting regional peace. For those unaware, Somaliland is not Somalia. It is an independent nation, though technically known only as a "partially recognized state" that borders the latter to the north, but that said it is an Islamic nation and does share ethnic and tribal/clan ties with the Somalia and indeed other peoples of the region. And since that region, the horn of Africa, also encompasses Yemen across the Gulf of Aden from which the Houthi terrorists use as a base to strike Israel as well as international shipping lanes in and out of the Red Sea and Indian Ocean, this is big news. And while Somaliland gained its statehood back in 1960, it's amazing that of all the world's nations Israel is the first to officially recognize Somaliland as an independent nation. If the Somalilanders can be trusted (and given the nature of Islam, that's a pretty big "if") then Israel in theory gains a pretty important foothold in a very strategic area key to its defense. But what's in it for Somaliland to invite open hostility from the broader Islamic/Arab world of which it is a part? I guess as President Trump is so very fond of saying, we'll just have to wait and see. Despite the smiles and the handshakes for the cameras, when things heat up again, as they no doubt will with the so-called 'Palestnians' You know the Somaliland government will not be silent and like eerywhere else will blame the Jews for not cooperating and just dying. But at least for now, perhaps Israel can keep a close eye on the Houthi front which, like so many other fronts is directly and closely connected to Iran. In spite of the decimation of its nuclear sites by both the IDF and USAF and reports of major internal problems, from the collapse of its water infrastructure to growing unrest and disaffection for the Mullahs from there populace, the regime can and no doubt will strike wherever and whenever it can. what happened at Bondi Beach may very well have an Iranian connection. Back over here, the gargantuan fraud coming out o the Somali immigrant locust cloud primarily in Minnesota just beggars the imagination: Somali Scammers Allegedly Stole Almost As Much In Minnesota As Entire Somalia GDP — FBI Director Kash Patel announced the agency was already sending additional resources in an X post Sunday, saying the deployment occurred before a 42-minute video of independent journalist Nick Shirley visiting various day care centers went viral Friday. Thompson described the situation as involving “industrial-scale fraud,” according to CBS News Minnesota. (RELATED: YouTuber Nick Shirley Exposes Alleged Somali Daycare Center Which Reportedly Reaped $4,000,000 From Taxpayers) . . Somalia’s GDP was $11.97 billion in 2024, according to a release from the country’s Bureau of National Statistics. Whistleblowers in Maine and Ohio have alleged similar schemes by Somali scammers have taken place in those states. And speaking of Minnesota, this bastard needs to be dealt with: Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey Says if Deportation Operations Continue Minnesota Residents Will Start Killing ICE Agents . . . However, Mayor Frey did say if the ICE deportation operations continue, ICE agents are likely to be killed. The obvious question is, ‘who will do the killing, Jacob‘?Good question. There is no doubt that many millions of dollars of that grift wound up int eh pockets of Frey and Walz as payoffs for political protection. Considering they control the state and local governmental bureaucracies that distribute the funds, without them I doubt that the graft could ever have become so large and widespread. There's shoplifting but this is driving a tractor trailer into a warehouse full of furs and cleaning it out wholesale. Considering that a hefty percentage of what was grifted no doubt wound up in the hands of terrorists in Somalia, Perhaps Somaliland making nice with Israel is an act of self preservation on the part of the Somalilanders, given the nature of tribalism. Something to consider. Meh, who needs Islamic terrorists or Chi-Coms, when we have people like this, running our government and charged with keeping us safe. . . Why LAFD Refused to Put Out LA Wildfires: “Heck No That Area is Full of Endangered Plants.” . . .“I would be a real idiot to ever put a dozer in that area. I’m so trained.”Well at least LA now has a lesbian fire chief whose sole experience in putting out fires is reaching for a can of Jock itch spray Have a great day! Somali Scammers Allegedly Stole Almost As Much In Minnesota As Entire Somalia GDP
++++ I hate this framing, but it is probably inevitable. The Somali scammers stole it, yes, but this puts *all* of the blame on them. They done did it, but they were *not* working in a vacuum. They were being enabled a every step by the government of Minnesota, which was a partner in these crimes. The dominant framing of this story - "Somali scammers did X, Y and Z" - absolves the Minnesota government by default, which is bullshit. This isn't simple retail fraud or theft. This isn't a con man selling you bogus sweepstakes one-on-one. it is an organized crime syndicate with major partners in the government. ++++ No chance to do the plant equivalent of "shoot, shovel and shut up" in a circumstance like that one. This is distressingly common. Rule-following is desired, demanded and fully supported - not thinking. In Maui, they didn't turn the water on because they couldn't get authorization from Honolulu and everyone followed the rules. In Flint, they followed every rule about changing over the water source, but nobody stopped to think. Thinking was unnecessary, since the rules were followed. In LA, they didn't bulldoze because they were following the rules. The costs of compliance are collectively high and the costs of non-compliance are personally high. Nobody who breaks the rules to save lives and property is going to get a medal. Nobody who says, "hey, everything is compliant but this is a bad and dangerous idea" is going to get a promotion. Those people will get arrested, fined or fired. So they follow the rules, and damn the consequences. Bureaucratic procedures and accountability avoidance demand it. The cheapest gas I've seen here is $2.10/gal. for 87 E10 regular. It's not near me, though. I try to use E0, and I know of two stations, one close by, which offers it (90 octane, too) for $2.99, whereas other places which have it want $3.29+.
The Buick does not need any higher octane than 87, but the extra gas mileage is nice to see. Even if the increase is not quite enough to offset completely the higher price. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at December 29, 2025 07:38 AM (wzUl9) 33

This leads me to believe it wouldn't take a very deep dive to expose corruption and cheating in the citizenship process. Straw men taking tests, vetting records altered, bribery of officials, all to get that valuable piece of paper opening the possibilities of getting in on the grift (and voting Dem).

Sometimes unscrupulous gas stations will have more than 10% ethanol, despite what is stated on the pump. Unless someone tests, there’s no way to tell. Other than watch the fuel gauge decline with astonishing speed. I’ve noticed my V6 runs noticeably smoother and quieter on the highway with pure gasoline, even if it doesn’t “need” higher octane.

Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at December 29, 2025 07:43 AM (wzUl9) ++++ In my opinion - so it's worth what you pay for it - we've crossed back over the optimal line on this thanks to electronics and regulations. Cramming in more gadgets or squeezing out one more fractional MPG or suppressing one more pound of net "carbon" emissions has been reducing reliability and longevity for a while now. I think the peak of automotive engineering might have been the late 90s through the early to mid aughts. Mechanically, things were extremely sound for most manufacturers and models. Engines and transmissions lasted more or less forever and the cars were integrated and computerized enough to nail efficiency very well but still remain reasonably serviceable. They are more efficient now and mechanical reliability (outside of crazy big transmissions with 10 speeds, etc.) is still very good but serviceability has taken a huge hit. ——- Investing means stocks or real estate, gold and silver was an excellent alternative to holding the US dollar. For a long time stuffing US dollars under the mattress was a prudent thing to do around the world. Americans didn’t need to worry about such things. Historically I think practically every currency has been demonetized or de-valued, bonds and debt repudiated, economic “reforms”. I can’t think of any exceptions off the top of my head. It happens to a lot of organizations not just countries and empires. UK is at the feet of iron mixed with clay stage (sun never sets on the UK empire was the gold head) and the US appears to be there too. What comes after? I think the peak of automotive engineering might have been the late 90s through the early to mid aughts.
I have two Jeep Cherokees (XJ) in various trims, both with the 4.0L and had a 95 Grand Cherokee with the 5.2L the I6 gets, at best about 22mpg after 100k miles and from the factory floor had 190hp. (the Wrangler (YJ) had a more restrictive exhaust and lost 10 ponies) Other than accessories or cooling system (radiator, water pump) the engines needed only oil, filter and plug changes. 25+ years of no engine/transmission malfunction in daily driving. Dittos with the 95 ZJ with the 5.2 So yes, the 90s and early 00s, for me (three out of three) were mechanically most stable. We will see what the Genesis with the 3.5L and 400+ HP and equivalent mileage will do. Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure at December 29, 2025 08:08 AM (a4flb) 103

So I have an amusing story for you all. My wife bought a pair of gi pants from Seido for me. Seido is a great martial arts supply store out in Japan run by a couple of French guys. Great quality products and I've been happy with them.
She gets the bill from DHL. They were charging her an exorbitant fee for the shipping. Now, my wife gets that tariffs increase prices but not by that much. She challenges it and demands an explanation. The reply is that they add that much for copper and steel imports. She immediately fires back that it's cotton. Gets a template answer of 5-7 business days for this to be resolved. And if she doesn't pay them the full amount now, the package goes back to the shipper. She pays but still tries to fight. Goes as far to demand an invoice. Nothing. At my suggestion, she files a fraud complaint with PayPal. Not even ten minutes later, DHL assures her that they will investigate the matter. And she will be firing off an email to Seido to politely suggest they use a different shipping company. Posted by: NR Pax at December 29, 2025 08:19 AM (NR6c1) 128

For a good outlet, American Greatness runs some really dumb articles at times - for example the one about wind power above. The author doesn’t even understood why Trump invoked Nat Security as a reason to block them . First, because those myriad spinning blades make radar tracking at low levels near major population centers impossible. Very bad idea.
Second, because the Juduciary has been trying to stymie all of Trumps attempts to shut down the enviro-grift that is going on. The National Security reasoning lifts this issue out of their jurisdiction. Posted by: Tom Servo at December 29, 2025 08:20 AM (8kBBB) 131

When I was starioned “over there” I bought a used 3 series to bomb around in. Very fun car.
They have good brakes. They use a metallic pad, and soft steel rotors. Lots of brake dust and dirty wheel rims seemed to be the common denominator on all the cars there. Maybe even noisy. But they will stop on a dime. I asked about getting the rotors turned, and they looked at me like I’d just pushed my grandmother down the stairs. LOL. They don’t do that “over there”. Historically I think practically every currency has been demonetized or de-valued, bonds and debt repudiated, economic “reforms”.
I think that there is a suicide pact with the trading nations and a huge reason for why the Europeans currencies merged into one traded currency. Also why China is not transparent about their currency. None of the world's trading partners wants their currency to stay relatively stronger or weaker than its partners/competitors (for a myriad of reasons) so when Europe does stupid shit that causes their currency to lose value, Japan, US and other trading partners need to do same so that the arbitrage between the currencies is such that currency wreckers don't come in Soros the Central Bank. How the various nations hurt themselves is left up to the Davos crowd and the personal schemes devised by the usual political grifters. https://x.com/TheThe1776/status/2003472705006502061 Why Obama made Kamala pick Waltz. Obama removed all oversight on DOJ settlements. Tony West, Kamala's BIL, ran that division, confidential 100s of millions in settlements, laundered to far left law firms. Using the Somalias as willing, largely ignorant, patsies. Michelle got in on the action with her "healthy lunch" scam. That's how they salted away a war chest for lawfare today. And billions hidden for campaign donations. At the top of all these fraud pyramids are rich leftists. The middle men who facilitate this fraud are the law firms. A lot of wealth is tied up in physical assets like real estate.
Most of it, for people with wealth in the tens of billions, is tied up in businesses. So they'll have to sell off their business in order to pay the tax but selling the business will lower the value of the business so they'll have to sell more of the business but... Dont look at the numbers of the wealth tax as it is really just a foot in the door to wealth, not income.

it was an observation
Posted by: Don Black at December 29, 2025 09:26 AM (ZxPkt) --- So was mine. When prosecuting politicians, the necessary first step is to destroy the 'politically motivated' canard, and the real professionals let the story unfold and get worse and worse, until the public wonders "what the hell?" and then one can drop the hammer. Timing is important, and it would be a damn shame if all those indictments and arrests happened in, oh, say September and October. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Somalis, Latinos, every migrant, legal or not is a pawn in a huge nation-wide series of scams to make money on the side, at our expense, to keep the political class in power.

Liberals are horrified at the idea.
Imagine America With Only 450,000 Immigrants a Year "Only"? That's 450,000 too many. I prefer to imagine America with only 0 immigrants a year for a period of the next 10-20 years. When your home has been flooded, you cannot begin to repair it until you first remove all the water. The same applies to illegal aliens. Until every last illegal alien has been deported, it makes zero sense to allow in any more immigrants. Since every last person involved with the immigration process must be focused on deportation of illegal aliens. That said, I will not be holding my breath that this will ever happen in my lifetime. My lower bound guess for how much fraud there is nationally is ~20% of the Federal budget, which would mean $1.5 trillion per year. Probably much higher. Scott Adams @ScottAdamsSays I'm starting to detect a pattern. Wall Street Apes @WallStreetApes Attorney Mehek Cooke says massive fraud is taking place in Ohio She says fraudulent Somalian healthcare companies are being created charging as much as $250,000 per family per year FOR DOING NOTHING, it’s all fraudulent It’s all being billed to Medicaid and taxpayers are paying X: https://bit.ly/4pbtj15 Posted by: Clyde Shelton at December 29, 2025 10:01 AM (P5BPp) 352
"So in Ohio, and there's many states like this, Pennsylvania and other states too, where you can go in and you can say my aging parent needs a home health care and I want to provide it.
- You could sit at home without caring for an elderly parent who really doesn't need it, make about $75,000 to $90,000 a year. - Now you add 2 parents, that's $180,000 - Now you add your in-laws, $250,000 You continue to add this and you wonder what are the services being provided? So a lot of providers came and said fraud is occurring — Their home health care networks saying we'll make it worth your while. Well, sounds like a kickback to me. So we really need to investigate the Medicaid system and how much it's increased since the Somalian population came and who really needs critical care because that's meant for our disabled, our elderly and people who really need it not to just live off our system. And that's what's happening in Ohio. I think it's ridiculous. I think it's despicable." X video: https://bit.ly/4pYtSNb Posted by: Clyde Shelton at December 29, 2025 10:16 AM (P5BPp) 353

Tucker tells Soros alum that Islamic terrorism "doesn't reflect the 'lived reality' of anyone I've ever met."
Tucker Carlson: "I Don’t Know Anyone Who’s Been Killed by Radical Islam." No one is killed by "radical Islam". Everyone killed by Muslims is killed by Islam. There is no "radical" vs "moderate" or "regular" Islam. There is only Islam. Islam itself is what a normal person would call "radical". Islam is a totalitarian death cult and political ideology hell bent on world conquest and subjugation under the ideology and laws of Islam. Until people in positions of power and influence can state this confidently and unapologetically, we cannot even begin to defeat Islam. The Department of Justice announced Dec. 4 the arrest of Brian Cole Jr. on charges of transporting an explosive device and attempted malicious destruction by means of explosive materials. In the filing, prosecutors note Cole said he “just snapped” and wanted to punish both political parties, adding he was inspired by The Troubles, a roughly 30-year ethno-nationalist conflict in Northern Ireland.
