The United States launches a number of strikes against Islamic State terrorists in Nigeria, US President Donald Trump announced on social media early on Friday.

The strikes, which Trump claimed were "deadly," were ordered due to recent Islamic State attacks on Nigerian Christians.

"The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing," Trump said, adding that he wishes a "MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues." - JPost

David’s a fascinating character study - embodies the saying that Great Men have Great Flaws. He made mistake upon mistake, great ones, but what distinguished him from so many others? When confronted with the truth of what he had done (as happened with the prophet Nathan) David *always* confessed his sin, begged the Lord for forgiveness, and threw himself upon the Lord’s mercy, Now he and his family suffered greatly for the sins of David; but they were not destroyed for them.

He is. I made a double entendre but he’s a breath of fresh air.

98 Funny you should mention it. It's a five dog night here.

Daughter and Son-in-Law are up in the ice box of NY for Christmas week (while we enjoy 78° days hahaha), so we've got their two dogs meanwhile. SonM is here tonight with his two dogs. And then there's our great Malinois Daisy. An exhuberant pack. Canine Chaos for Christmas.

As the Stones sang, I sit and watch as fur does fly.

One nice thing about dogs is they are much more amenable to partying with strangers than cats are.

99 61 Neil has some thoughts on what you should leave out for Santa next year:

"Neil deGrasse Tyson
@neiltyson
If people left Hot Tea, Carrots, and Celery for Santa on the table rather than Milk & Cookies on Christmas Eve, I bet he’d be much, much, thinner."

Memo: North Pole Public Relations Dept. (NPPR)
Re: Neil DeGrasse Tyson
To whom it may concern:
We are aware of Mr. DeGrasse Tyson's fat shaming of St. Nicholas. And, while we are above such petty spitting contests in competition with self-proclaimed Know-it-alls. We are not above assuring that the public is properly informed. Mr. DeGrasse Tyson is still miffed that he did not receive the gift he desired at age 7. While it may be perfectly acceptable for young Neil to covet a Raggedy Ann doll (we do not judge). We found it disconcerting how he used the magnifying glass he received the previous year to murder ants on the sidewalk. Perhaps one day Mr. DeGrasse Tyson will discover a bit of humility and courtesy, earning him the doll he wanted so badly. But, it's not looking good.
Sincerely,
Half Pint Goggins, Elf Team

That was very sweet of your grandma, but either FenSpouse didn't have any money or he didn't think of it. I didn't think of it either.

I avoid politics Christmas Eve & Christmas, and usually do a good job sticking to it.

Believe me, I'll make up for it tomorrow, and my Pimp Hand will be as strong as ever.

Ah, here's what's going on with the time zone. That's from the Jerusalem post. Israel time is UTC+2. It's 2:54AM, Dec. 26th there now.
