Feds Discover Another $9 Billion in Medicaid Fraud... All in Tim Walz's Pirate Paradise of Minnesota

US Attorney's Office: 'Half or more' of $18B billed through state programs tied to fraud
As the U.S. Attorney's Office announced a new batch of charges related to suspected fraudulent billing in Minnesota's government services, officials painted a dire portrait of just how extensive the problem might be.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson on Thursday said the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) pulled claims for 14 programs identified by Minnesota officials as being particularly vulnerable to fraud and found $18 billion in Medicaid billing since 2018.
While not all of those payments were illegitimate, Thompson estimated "half or more" of the $18 billion was received through fraudulent means, though he said prosecutors are still working to find the exact number.
"The magnitude of fraud in Minnesota cannot be overstated. It's staggering amounts of money that's been lost," Thompson said.

Feds are also looking into Minnesota foreign pirates scamming the unemployment system.

The Department of Labor announced on Monday it is sending staff to Minnesota to investigate concerns about fraud in the state's Unemployment Insurance Program.
The department's decision to authorize an "on-site specialized UI strike team" in Minnesota makes it the latest of several federal agencies deploying agents to investigate reports of widespread fraud in the state's welfare programs, including those from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"I am appalled at what we are hearing about potential fraud coming from numerous benefits programs in Minnesota," Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer said in a statement.
"If there has been any related abuse of our UI systems, it will not be tolerated, and I trust our specialized strike team to get to the bottom of this and report their findings directly to me," she continued. "Our mission to protect American workers remains unchanged, and I will not allow malicious actors to destroy the integrity of this trusted program."

I've mentioned this before, Adam Housley used to be a reporter with Fox. Pretty down the middle reporter, not a fan of either party. He quit because he got sick of the state of the media.

I don't run Windows 11 but it looks to me you have to go through the control panel and reinitialize your WiFi as though you are bringing up your machine for the first time. The fact that you can use your phone hot spot says the WiFi hardware on your computer is working properly. That says it is a software problem - probably a configuration problem.

Part of the reason that the US got away with something like it for so long is that we are the world's reserve currency used for trading between other nations (dollars never reach US consumers) but that also means that the globohomo crowd are aware that if the US does NOT run huge trade deficits, essentially most of the world's economy has a severe shortage of bucks for trades.

Once the US loses reserve currency status for something else, then essentially you get a soft default where our trade inflows and outflows have to generate enough surplus to pay interest on our enormous debt.

Fraud and waste is easily hundreds of billions per year out our total budget. Let's say something like 10 percent of the US budget--which would be (minus the interest payments made out of about 5 trillion or so) about 500-600 billion per year. Take that over the Biden era until now (5 years, that would be about 2.75-3 trillion. Add in compounded interest, about 3.6 trillion. Add in the Obama years 2010-2012 and the first Trump term, probably 6 trillion there. Add the Bush decade with two years of Obama, probably another 3-4 trillion. So out of 38 trillion, I would guess about more than 1/3 of our current debt from the last 25 years is fraud, waste, and abuse.

There were a few points where I was not allowed to advance until I had checked off a box even though I'd answered "no" to the previous paired question. The one I remember most was near the end, and it was something like "In the last year, have you ever been unable to find the following when you needed it: Food, money, shelter, medical care, etc." There was no "None of the above" or "N/A" option, I *had* to pick one. So I put "dental care" because no local dentist will accept adults on Medicaid. The kicker? No comment box at the end so I could voice my concerns.

So the next time you see "70% of Medicaid recipients struggled to find food" as a headline, this is why.

It was literally hoovering money out of the US so that foreign countries could buy shit from China and buy US assets like real estate, corporations, etc. Started after Bretton Woods broke down as the US no longer had enough gold to make the balance of payments work. Midpoint in the 70's the US began to run a trade deficit that never even approached zero (even eventually with sales of services, etc.).

Same thing happened with the Brits after the Edwardian age ended and was part of the reason that their Empire was not sustainable after paying for two world wars.

I would honestly say it is somewhere about 400-500 billion per year at a minimum from the last 5 years. That includes crap like the Green Nude Eel where companies simply vanished after taking mega bux subsidies. Like the movie The Producers, the intent was never to make a profit but to simply take the gubmint money and let the corporate corpse collapse like any con artist would.

But the major fraud waste and abuse is clearly in the medical area. That is the area where the more we dig into medicare, medicaid, obamacare, etc, the more fraud we find. Easily 150-200 billion alone in fraud, waste, and abuse in health care and it is about 1.6 trillion or so of the budget--just medicare and medicaid, more if you include items like Indian Health Care, Tricare, and VA.

Next big pot is the military procurement. Out of a trillion dollar budget with all of its contingency spending, etc., add mebbe another 100 billion, much of it to fatcat defense contractors on the make.

Social security, easily another 50-100 billion.

Brussels pretended they were only taking the "interest" of the billions of Russian assets they had, and were arguing recently they should take the principle, however since they spent the principle and can't admit it, they decided to raise the money by bonds taken on the taxpayers of the EU.

1) if the EU can take your money on a whim, who is going to invest there?
2) if the EU can violate agreements, at what point will anyone take their paper or their trade deals without payment up front
3) The EU is broke. Everyone is broke there. Eventually the Chinese will be doing their belt and road initiatives there.

If you print money even a small amount everybody gets a pay cut even if it is negligible. If you print trillions of dollars everyone will feel it because prices will start to go up even though wages don't. The real value of the dollar is basically the gross domestic product divided by the number of dollars.

When it is held by the government it has no value. In fact if you paid taxes in cash, the government would simply burn the money you sent in.
When you pay with a check, the money is subtracted from your account, but it doesn't go into some treasury account, it simply vanishes into the same thin air it came from when it was printed.
