After Months of Rumors and Speculation, Dan Bongino Announces He's Leaving the FBI

Dan Bongino
@FBIDDBongino

31m

I will be leaving my position with the FBI in January.
I want to thank President Trump, AG Bondi, and Director Patel for the opportunity to serve with purpose.
Most importantly, I want to thank you, my fellow Americans, for the privilege to serve you.
God bless America, and all those who defend Her.

Trump says he wants to go back to his show. I figure that's probably right. He had a great job. He did a turn of service. He figures he's done enough and it's time to go back to his permanent job.

And he might have decided he doesn't like the constant denigration and the claims he's covering up for Epstein and now for the innocent patsy Tyler Robinson, and has decided, "Enough of this bullshit." Working for less money than you're used to is one thing, seeing your reputation permanently damaged by conspiracy-addled blowhards is another thing.

Tucker Carlson has been sowing suspicions about Patel and Bongino.

Maybe if he doesn't want to constantly hear claims that he's covering up for Epstein, he should stop covering up for Epstein.

8 The biggest thing I have learned in 2025 is that all media types should be referred to as 'influencers' at best, and probably 'presstitutes'. This includes the ones one thinks are "the good ones".

The Ancient Romans did not have reporters, but they treated actors as being the same as whores. We should do the same with every profession that involves getting people to pay attention to you.

That chore requires an immediate insider, and if said immediate insider is partially culpable, ain't gonna be no bodies unearthed.

Did he? How do we know this? Anyone who has worked in a bureaucracy knows that rot primarily exists because dealing with it is too much work. Even tenured teachers (especially ones who deserve to be fired) can be if an administrator puts some effort into it. But that would take sustained work.

The vast majority of federal workers get stellar reviews year after year. If there's just 'so much rot' at the DOJ/FBI, then start putting people through the very annoying process of getting them fired. Some will quit, others will end up in rubber rooms getting paid to do nothing. But you can have an effect. It's just not the sort of thing a media talking head is likely to have the patience for.

We need to create an entire new federal investigative agency to investigate the FBI and CIA and go through all of these cover-ups and find out what happened and who was responsible.

Try that with the federal government and their unions. You will drive yourself insane trying to fire the first dozen employees you come across that need to be fired. You will be tied up 24/7 with all sorts of HR bull$hit record keeping and jumping through the hoops you need to do to fire anyone. Plus you will not be able to do your primary job while you are doing all of that work.

And even if you manage to get them fired, which I did a couple of times the courts and MSPB will just order you to hire them back with back pay and "protected" status. Been there and did that.

The entire civil service system needs a huge flush and until that happens nothing is going to change no matter who is in charge.

90 I really liked Bongino's podcast and thought he was an honorable man. I was disappointed that he took the fbi job but thought, maybe he could make a difference. I think he found that it was impossible and made a graceful exit. I also think he hates Pammie for the way she handled the Epstein files and told her about it. For some reason Trump loves Bondi and Dan knew he couldnt fight both of them. She has seniority and so he left. Just sayin....

I've always been a pro wrestling fan, and I've never liked even one of Mick Foley's characters. I "get" the concept of heels, heck I've rooted for many of them over the years. But Mick Foley? Pass.

And "yes" I'm aware that he threw himself off of or onto a cage or something of the sorts a decade or two ago--I watched a video of it. And "yes" its crazy. It still did nothing for me in regard to improving the characters he created.

Shooting is more wild. It seems the guy's son was being attacked. So he went to help his son move out. Story says the family lawyer states campus security escorted them to the dorm. The shooting happened outside the residence hall and Bard hit two of the alleged attackers, one of whom died.

So the questions become, why was there bad blood. And why did campus security do nothing if they were present?

It's really not that simple. Yes, there were commies and "subversives" in this country stirring up shite, but the question is, were they doing anything illegal?

How many of those "subversives" were scooped up by the Fibbers, not for illegal activity, but for being a pain in the arse to the powers that be in DC?

Israel is the prime example. Your basic choice is that Israel exists (meaning it defends itself), or it doesn't - meaning the fulfillment of "River to the Sea". If you refuse to see the US's interest in that issue, you're totally ignoring reality. You may be on one side or the other of that issue, but to say the US has NO interest - - choosing to be blind.
