Friday Night Cafe

lighthouseonoutcrop.jpg
Llanddwyn Island (Angelsea),
by Gareth Mon Jones

Australian sheep dog asks random park-goers to play Dog Biathalon, which seems to be part fetch, part hide-and-seek.

Living in a low-trust society.

Cat waves bye-bye.

Hanging out.

Golden retriever is very protective of the new kitten.

Sneaking kisses.

Steve Inman:

Beatdown in Brazil.

Internet "prankster" attempts to provoke strong men, succeeds beyond his expectations.

"Man" shows he is very capable of beating the shit out of a woman. Against an actual man -- or against six other dudes who joined in -- not so much.

Bringing a knife to a fistfight.

He brought a steel rod to a carfight.

The first two clips of motorcycle mayhem are worth the watch, because the iniquitous get some rough justice. But most of the other clips are just guys wiping out, and I can't really get into that. Attempting stunts may be stupid, but it's not immoral. I don't want to see guys get wiped just for being dopey guys. Do watch the first couple, though.

Pro wrestling heel disrespects the wrong dad's kid.

Ratchet bitch starts a fight with a woman while she has a confederate film it for TikTok. Unfortunately, she brought a nothing to a fist fight.

I never heard this -- cats get mad if you mess up the spot they just cleaned with their tongue?

Quasi-willowed

There was a story of a guy at my university who did the oral defense of his thesis. In the customary ballet, he was excused after he finished and told to wait for the committee's decision.

An hour later he was still waiting and having a breakdown. Turns out his committee spent 20 seconds agreeing it was fine, then spent an hour discussing who would be the next president of the university.

So funny. He pretends he's doing a business rescue show where he, someone who took a handful of business classes at a mediocre college and got Bs and C's, offers "business advice" to business owners, but it's always these ludicrous scams and legal loophole plays and sometimes just absurd stunts.

Like in one he has an electronic store advertise a sale for 50 inch tvs for $20, but the fine print says you must be on line at a specific time, you must be wearing formal wear (tuxedos and gowns), and you can only reach the tvs by going through a hallway in which he has placed a real live alligator.

I go occasionally, and I'll usually get the French dip sandwich but I've had their cheeseburger and it's not terrible. They also have a limited time hoagie-type sandwich around Thanksgiving made with deep-fried turkey that's tasty.

I used to love just getting a couple of beef & cheddars when I was a kid, but they're nowhere near as big now unless you get a double or triple.

Never tried it again.

I like thin roast beef or thicker roast beef on sandwiches.
I'm easy to please on the sandwich front as long as the word 'pastrami' doesn't enter the discussion.

I don't think it's the smell, I think it is idea that we are "marking" them. Cats mark us as part of their territory or clan. If we then rub against them the feel dissed, thinking we are marking them. But I don't know, I don't have a cat sense of smell. Maybe they can tell but if that's the case, why would they want to live in our houses. Our whole world must smell worse than our fingers.

Those pies were good. Back in the 80's we had a McDonalds, a white castle, and a jack in the box all within pissing distance of each other. We would go to white castle and grab some burgers, then hit the McDonalds drive though next door for fries, a strawberry shake, and a few of those apple or cherry pies, and then feast on all of it in the parking lot. Many times we would just hit McDonalds and grab the shake, fries, and cherry pies. Its the shit that happened when you cruised around all night getting roasted. lol
