Gavin Newsom Admits That California Pays for Free Healthcare for Illegal Aliens

We already knew this, but Gavin Newsom admits it. As you know, in the propaganda media, no amount of evidence is ever enough to disprove a left-wing talking point. A point is only settled against a leftist if he admits it.

What is even more astounding is Regime Apologist Ezra Klein's reaction to this admission.

Newsom's admission doesn't cause Klein to say, "Well, it turns out Trump wasright when he said Democrat states pay for health care for illegals."

No, it causes him to re-assert that Trump "lies" about this, followed by praising Newsom for having the guts to make Trump's "lies" a reality.

If it's true... how is Trump "lying," Ezra?

Trump often lies about Democrats giving healthcare to undocumented immigrants. In California, Newsom actually did it. And defends it.

It's just totally a "lie" that all Democrats plan to provide free health care to illegals.

For the left, the concept of lying is not dependent on whether or not someone tells the truth. It's not based on actions. It's based on status -- if you're an enemy of the left, you're a "liar" even when you're telling the truth. The truths you say "mislead" the public away from a Greater Truth -- race-based socialism managed by carefully-selected leftwing credentialed priests -- and are therefore "lies," in a deeper sense.

Sure, if there's 25% turnout in the next election.

A reason why I aggressively dislike doomerism about elections is that it's quite correctible. Even if a local GOP is run by morons, there are quite a lot of PACs that do GOTV efforts now. We could all join or support one to make sure voters actually vote. That's the problem we've been having with these off-year special elections this year - ultra low turnout that makes the AWFLs seem like they are replicating when they are a shrinking demographic almost by definition.

I do agree he's not their strongest, not by a long shot. I just think CA anything is looked at negatively in the rest of the 49 states. And he is incredibly polarizing and oft putting.

There's another theory: Klein just co-wrote a book called "Abundance" and has developed something called "the abundance theory" (or something) in which he supposedly tackles the Democrats' eternal failure to get things done, all while making people more prosperous, not less. It seems like he's frustrated with continuing Democrat failures and he's trying to make a change in Democrat policies and the ideology itself.

He's 5% onto something, but I've seen him talk about other things and he's way too blind and stupid to make the biggest and most obvious connections.

That is a Crossing the Rubicon situation and you have to consider then what will be done in a future Democrat administration.

The problem, I think, is that our ruling elite now simply are done with popular democracy and taking them on is about on par with Caesar facing the decaying Roman Republic's Senate diktats.

It is actually far easier to replace an individual tyrant than a system of tyranny unless you want to go Sulla on them. Proscriptions are required and taking their generational wealth away from them.

Then any such ruler will never be able to sleep without one eye open.

Cromwell had it easier. He only had the Royalists to fight. The Roman Civil War after Caesar died was much more prolonged and arguably act 1 happened when Sulla and his co ruler duked it out.

Eh, plenty of them actually did which is why it wasn't repealed. Big Hospital, Big Pharma (headed by former GOP Rep. Billy Tauzin), and Big Insurance all got a piece of the turkey and that continued throughout today via campaign contributions, etc. Look up Bill Cassidy's campaign contributions for example among others.

The medicine industrial complex (17.6 pct GDP) makes our defense complex (3.3) look weak politically and financially. Even the education complex is only at (5.4 pct).

American public got the bones and scraps of that spending.
