Indiana Cucks Refuse to Redraw Congressional Map Even As Democrats Attempt to Impeach Trump Again (and Will Impeach Him Once They Retake the House)

They fiddle as Rome burns and call themselves just for doing so.

The Republican-controlled Indiana state Senate voted Thursday to reject the redrawn redistricting map that could have potentially meant an increase of two GOP U.S. House members in the 2026 midterm elections.
The defeat of the map represents a setback to President Donald Trump who had strongly advocated for its passage by the state Senate. Also, there have been multiple visits from Vice President JD Vance and calls from Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (La.), attempting to persuade enough members of the Senate to pass the redrawn map.
Though the GOP-controlled state House had approved the map last week, according to NBC News, it failed in the state Senate by a vote of 31-19.

Republicans have a majority in the state senate, but only a minority of them voted in favor of the map. They weren't betrayed by a few rogue members -- the majority of them joined the Democrats to get Trump impeached in January 2026.

The Democrats are not hiding their plans.

The House voted on Thursday to table a motion to impeach President Donald Trump. The so-called privileged motion to force the House to act was introduced by Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green, according to The Hill.
A Republican motion to table the resolution passed by a vote of 237-140, with 47 Democrats voting present and 23 voting with the Republicans to table it. Tabling means to set it aside indefinitely without further debate.
Green has repeatedly introduced resolutions to impeach President Trump, both during his first term in office and now three times this year, since Trump's return to office.
His latest resolution has two impeachment articles. The first article is for "Abuse of Presidential Power by Calling for the Execution of Members of Congress." That was in reference to Trump's response last month to the video made by six Democrats telling members of the military that they don't have to follow unlawful orders.

Many Democrats voted for the impeachment. Some voted present and some voted to table it. But the latter Democrats only ducked the impeachment vote because they don't want the public thinking they are revenge-minded crazies before they're in a position to actually achieve their revenge-crazy impeachment.

See, they are doing what they do every two or four years, tamping down on their more extreme elements to make themselves look good for a critical election.

They want to win. We don't. Our own "representatives" are scheming with the Democrats to bring Trump down.

63 I live in Indiana. You can trash the senators that voted this down, but the bottom line is, Indiana is impossible to gerrymander 9-0 in an off year election. It might look possible on paper, but the reality is, the results could be much worse next year with new lines drawn and you could easily have ended up with 6-3 or even 5-4 instead of the current 7-2.

TBH I really don't think that's it. In my blue area turnout is and political activity is normal.

I think we are seeing the fraud infrastructure the dems have built where a bunch of votes are coming in from people they know aren't going to vote either because they are dead, phantoms that never existed, or illegals.

Problem though in a single member district, first past the post election, you will only get two main political parties (see Duverget's Law). I am not saying that Conservatives did not have it coming but it takes about 7-10 years for a new party to become competitive for control. Canada is another example when the Progressive Conservative Party of Mulroney went belly up in the 1993 elections and did not regain even minority control of government until Harper in 2011. It was a long slog to get even over a hundred seats for Conservatives.

169 I actually wonder if overperformance in specials now is a unique phenomenon that actually indicates D ceilings. I'm not sure how to work it out mathematically, but the specials from 2023 and 2024 indicated huge overperformance for D's in 2024.

But D's lost.

Is it that their coalition are becoming only the super voters? That their leaners have abandoned them in the aggregate? I don't know...not enough data to really even start an analysis.

But it's an interesting idea.

Get a Cook's Report guide or alternatively the Almanac of American politics now published by Oxford Press. Use the normal vote statistic as well as turnout statistics to determine a 'swing' in the special elections. Small n problem and you would have to deal with redistricting affecting normal vote totals in a few districts so you could do a time series study.

Don't be surprised if you get two different models--one for GOP and one for Democrats though.

Other than one exception every job I’ve had, be it full time or consulting, has been through a connection. This includes my very first part time job in HS which I got because my neighbor knew the manager of the store where I worked. First summer internship in college was at a friend’s dad’s company.

Then once my career was established it was former co-workers, former managers or former clients that hooked me up.

And I did as well. It’s a 2 way street. Scratch people’s backs they’ll catch yours as well.

youre not entirely wrong, however, it is often a detriment to have a job that is too far afield from the field you desire. There are lots of guys that get hired into the field right out of college, having to explain why youre clinging coffee instead of your desired job is harder

There comes a point where people wonder why no one has hired you. Most people hired into their fields had a job offer prior to graduation from campus recruiting and internships. For Fen’s son. Do you have internet hooked up to your tv? Several ways to do that either with a smart tv, roku box, or even some bluray players do it.

Lots of free oldish movies and old tv series on streaming channels albeit with ads and perhaps annoying time compression and editing for length.

Not all degrees work the same, nor are all industries the same. Finance/accounting and the big 5/big Wall Street works by hiring all the brightest college kids, working them like dogs, and having 90% self-select and quit within 4 years.

That's not how other fields work. Piper is right. Fen's son needs to get a job and then while working that job (no matter what it is), work back towards his more ideal job. My graduate this year took a PT job that got her licensed, and parlayed that into a FT job after 2 months on the PT job (and then quit that). For a new college grad, it's WAY easier to get a job if you have a job (I mean, my kid needed 4 professional references for her FT job (and they all got contacted)- where would she have gotten them without her PT job, b/c she only had 2 jobs in college b/c they were multi-year, so only 2 there)...

Could be, but then again he could show that he learned something outside of his field that would put him ahead of other people who have the same credentials. Like business management, customer service, equipment maintenance, or even "showing up on time every day instead of most of them" which is a big thing for new hires in starting positions.
