Methodist Pastor Has Had Enough of Jesus-This and Jesus-That, So He Makes His Homily About the Only Thing That Really Matters, His Trans Identity

A Methodist pastor in upstate New York turned a Sunday church service into a personal announcement ceremony, telling stunned worshippers that the 51-year-old spiritual leader is now transitioning and no longer identifies as male. Rev. Phillip Phaneuf of North Chili United Methodist Church in Rochester delivered the news while draped in a rainbow stole, declaring, "I get to announce with joy that I'm transitioning," and later adding, "I'm not becoming a woman, I'm giving up pretending to be a man."
The pastor also told congregants that a new identity--"Phillippa," with she/her pronouns--will now be used, and that hormone treatments have already been underway for three months.
Phaneuf went even further, announcing a shift to asexuality and telling the church that romance has never been a focus: "I'm in the category of what they call asexual... I am not living my life in a way that involves looking for romance." The message, delivered from the pulpit, was treated as a moment of celebration inside a denomination that has recently rewritten its doctrine to align itself with progressive gender ideology. The United Methodist Church reversed its previous teachings last year and now describes sexuality as a "sacred gift" for all "regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity."
Phaneuf told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that the congregation has been "overwhelmingly affirming," and noted that the bishop was consulted beforehand and offered full institutional support. Any questions about pastoral duties were brushed aside with assurances that nothing will change spiritually--aside from the pastor's name, voice, appearance, and presentation as the hormone regimen continues.

A trans woman named Natalie Wolf was convicted of molesting a 13-year-old girl by a UK court yesterday. Wolf was a man named Ryan Haley at the time of the attack and was addressed as a woman throughout the trial. However, when it was her turn to speak, the victim refused to address Haley as a woman, instead using the name of the man who had attacked her.

The victim, who is now an adult, feared she would be raped by Wolf, during the attack in Sunderland, England, and told the court her "shame and self-doubt" led to her not reporting the abuse, according to the report...
"I know you as Ryan Haley, a man who sexually abused me. There are few things more isolating than living in a body you don't feel safe in. I've carried shame, self-doubt and a sense of disconnection from myself," the victim told Wolf...
"Ryan, you destroyed me as a child, a teenager and an adult. Today you are finally going to face justice. Today, Ryan Haley, you are going to get what you deserve," the statement concluded.
Wolf was convicted of sexual activity with a child and sentenced to three and a half years in a male prison.
Wolf/Haley represented himself accused the victim of lying and the jury of being hypnotized. The judge made a point of saying Haley had shown no remorse and seemed to be under the delusion that he was the victim in this case.

My brother and sister both go to PCA churches. My other brother goes to what was a Reformed Church, but the Reformed denomination split apart, so they're in the process of figuring out what to do. My parents and I go to Christian Reformed Churches.

My parents had two rules, er, guidances, when we left the house: The church we'd go to believed in Jesus as the Son of God and that it preached the Bible. I think we all managed to do that, thankfully.

What's happening in almost all of the mainline protestant churches as they drift left is that everyone else is leaving, and letting the homos and the trannies have it. There's a huge number of Christians with no regular church out in the quiet, waiting for something to rise. It won't be the old churches, that's for sure.

Problem is that they own a LOT of Land... My Parents helped build the Methodist Church here... worked in the Church for decades.

There are stained glass windows and a Pew, that have our Families name on them... I sang in the Choir, and was an alter boy for awhile.

All the old Families that belonged to that church, are now gone, and I don't know how the local church is taking in enough from the very small congregation to keep its doors open EXCEPT, they don't pay any taxes on what would be very very expensive property.

Methodist Ministers are assigned by the parent church. They can get booted by a church board, but it's pretty hard to do.
