"If a state won't share data on criminal use of SNAP benefits, it won't get a dollar of federal SNAP administrative funding." What is "administrative funding"? The refusal and lawsuit is nothing but an attempt to delay. They’re hoping to stretch this out until someone friendly to them says they don’t have to provide it. There is more than enough caselaw, actual regulations and rules written into the program to allow FedGov to request that information. It’s right in the law. They can audit the program and can withhold funds for noncompliance.

Posted by: Common Tater "He who does not work, neither shall he eat" is a biblical aphorism derived from II Thessalonians 3:10, traditionally attributed to Paul the Apostle, and was later adopted and reinterpreted by the international socialist and communist movements. Vladimir Lenin cited the phrase in his 1917 work The State and Revolution as a foundational principle of socialism, arguing that in the first phase of communist society, only productive individuals should have access to consumption goods, marking a break from bourgeois law which allowed unequal individuals to receive equal products despite unequal labor. This principle was enshrined in the 1918 Russian Constitution and later in Article 12 of the 1936 Soviet Constitution, which declared work a duty and honor for every able-bodied citizen. The work could be anything -- I think I said playing Mine Sweeper a couple weeks ago. Make them play that 8 hours a day. But give them 11 windows so they have to play, and monitor 10 other players. This way it is scaleable and self monitoring. It would be easy to make an app to do it. And make it all public so other people can monitor them. You have to do it. 8 hours a day. 5 days a week. No play, no pay. Or, get a fucking job you loser. (Or course, exceptions for actual disabled, elderly, etc. but very strict and also public and monitored.) Pay public bounty to find cheaters. Posted by: Moron Analyst I know that it's quite a fall from Paul to Lenin, but I don't necessarily disagree with this idea. Having been out of work for almost 2 1/2 years, I see how much poorer my life seems without a job. Work gives people dignity and purpose, and even a kind of joy when we do our jobs correctly. And the economy certainly benefits from having as many people work as are able, including those with physical and/or mental disabilities. It's mandating what kind of work an individual or a group of individuals do that is the problem. Posted by: Bulg at December 03, 2025 04:23 PM (77rzZ) 251
