When they're little calves, like the two dozen or so recently born here, they run and play like cute dogs.

Which is always ironically amusing, considering how after a short while, they don't run and play anymore.

But last month, when a mama cow and several calves walked across the cattle guard into the living area, and we went out in the little red pick-em-up to herd them back, mama at one point got to jump and run surprisingly lively. Livelyly?

All the ladies on the team sweated over what to put down and how to be as accurate as possible but not put themselves in a bad light. We had a Basset Hound when I was a kid. We'd let him roam with us in the woods. A few times some of the neighbor's cows got on our property, and he went into beast mode, chasing the cattle.

You'd see those cows jump about a 4' fence, and he'd jump right after them.

179 We had one year in the PNW when it started raining in September and basically didn't stop. By February, I wanted to fly somewhere, just to see what the sun looked like above the clouds. Out here, I'm actually happy when it rains.

I think management started to wince when they handed out stuff like that to me. I tended to start free associating until I ran out of time, patience or room in the boxes.

One "confidential information training" module we did had us give feedback, and I started giving "bad Amazon Reviews". It took them 7 months before they gave me a reprimand for wasting time. (The way management smirked at me the day before meant they kept passing it around and laughing, but had to keep pushing it up the chain to the 3rd floor so they justify passing it around)
