Hong Kong fire death toll rises to 128, with 200 still missing and 8 more arrested

Residents in Wang Fuk Court have said they repeatedly complained to the city's Labor Department about the flammability of the protective green mesh that was used to cover bamboo scaffolding raised around the buildings, only to be told that the fire risk was relatively low, Reuters reported Friday.

This is exactly the 3rd World sensibility that we are busily importing. Respect for human life is a joke in most of the world, but the West has managed to change that, by elevating the individual to primacy.

Respect for the law, in this case construction regulations, is a shell game in all but the West. Fake the paperwork, use fake and cheap materials, bribe the inspectors, do what you must to maximize profit, and if a few people die? Oh well!

And the state is no better. Building inspectors actively solicit bribes in most of the world! And the regulations written by the regulatory bodies are laughable in their lack of teeth.

But we are busily bringing that mindset to America! Sure, there is corruption in America, and there has always been, but our minimum standards, even with crooked officials are far higher, and more stringently policed than anywhere else. But the breathtaking thievery of the 3rd World is a level that we have never even approached here.

Soon though!

At a birthday party. Without any more details, I'm gonna guess it was a disgruntled father who wasn't allowed to come.

Gonna further guess the shooter and victims were... ethnic.

And while everyone is rightly focusing on Islam/Muslims and Somalians and other violent Third Worlders, India is one of the prime offenders of fraud and thievery of American jobs and homes and tax benefits. India needs to be cut off as well. Both with H-1Bs and student visas as well as all the outsourcing going on, especially in the automotive industry and engineering jobs in general.

13 Overview of the Stockton Mass Shooting

On the evening of November 29, 2025, a mass shooting erupted at a family gathering in Stockton, California, which local officials described as a child's birthday party held at a banquet hall near the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue. The incident, occurring around 6:00 p.m. local time, left four people dead and at least 10 others injured, with reports indicating that a total of 14 individuals were struck by gunfire. Victims ranged in age from children to adults, and children were among both the fatalities and the wounded, including some as young as 9 years old. The shooting has shocked the community, prompting widespread grief and calls for action on gun violence.

What Happened
Location and Context: The event took place at a banquet hall adjacent to an ice cream shop (initially misreported by some sources as occurring inside the shop). Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee confirmed it was a child's birthday celebration...

14 Investigation and Suspect Status

Suspect(s): No arrests have been made, and the shooter — or possible multiple shooters — remains at large. Authorities believe the attack was targeted, potentially linked to a personal or gang-related dispute rather than a random act. Social media speculation points to involvement of local rappers (e.g., MBNel and Dougy3z) who were reportedly in attendance, tying into Stockton's history of gang violence involving groups like the Asian Boyz and various Crips factions. However, police have not confirmed these details.

Motive: Early indications suggest it may stem from a local feud, given Stockton's elevated homicide rate (3x the national average, with 87 murders in San Joaquin County in 2024 alone). The SJCSO is reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements.

Occasionally we get video of urban shoot outs and...its like a rap video for real. People spraying and praying into crowds because the guy they want to shoot is in that general direction.

Cops will tell you rap videos are great because it has persuaded urban thugs to have terrible fire arm discipline...but it does mean almost inevitably a bunch of bystanders are going to get shot.

The Washington Post reporter had a funny story about trying to enter Angola, and the customs person claimed that the reporter's passport was a forgery (trying to solicit a bribe, of course).

The reporter responded: "You'll agree that if this passport is a forgery, it is a very high quality forgery, right?"

The customs official agreed.

The reporter continued: "And if I had such a high-quality forgery, wouldn't I be using it to leave Angola, rather than enter Angola?"

The customs official didn't have a response - obviously, no one would use a high-quality forged passport to enter Angola.

As many of you know, Dr. Robert Malone was one of Fauci's fiercest critics in the medical community about everything having to do with the china virus and particularly the vaccines. The FDA appears ready to finally start telling the truth about the vaccines and equally important changing how they evaluate new vaccines. Worth a read.

Not even Congress. As long as they view raising material, substantive questions about election as some kind of third-rail, Grassy Knoll adventure, we are headed for destruction, and yes, the third-world.

That was the point of the so-called "Muslim ban" - that it is impossible to vet people from certain countries, either because the country's government is hostile, or because the country's government is so dysfunctional that there are no central police records.

Afghanistan and Somalia come to mind.

Another thing we can't talk about is how many of the "Special Forces" types are NOT GI Joe, with the rock jaw, saluting flags everywhere he goes, but antisocial types who are recruited precisely because they like killing.

And when they get back here, they beat their wives, they're on drugs, they do all kinds of petty crimes that happen on these military posts, like Ft. Bragg, and much of what they do gets swept under the rug.

Even murders.

The whole premise of the movie is a bunch of Americans who were captured, we send more forces over to get them out, only to have them captured. Rinse, lather, repeat.

So they go find Charlie Sheen on a reservation, speaking Indian with the natives living in teepees, and bring him back to get our boys back. Meanwhile, the corrupt CIA lady has her own plans.

I did meet One honest inspector, an American (iykwim), and he busted the landlord, BLDG Management, for electrical code violations in our 5-floor walkup. $25,000. But the most dangerous wiring, ha told me, was grandfathered in.

BLDG was a huge company that had about 4,000 apartments and was run by Lloyd Goldman. Look him up. And one of the cute things they would do is they would gut-renovate vacated Apartments and put in a control panel for the electricity and tell their new tenants they had 60 amps to play with... but the line to the cellar was still a 15 amp line so they constantly be tripping their circuit breakers.

128 Vetting of in-country assets on the battlefield was never perfect, nor was it a static process. It often had a shelf life as you determined the reliability of that asset, what other assets said about that person, or whether the Tali got to their families and turned them. There were a lot of Afghans with whom we had casual or pedestrian contact, or whom during the course of operations “helped” us. But there were probably a handful who were ultimately deemed reliable or trustworthy. That latter group are the people some guys when to bat for when Biden was abandoning the country. It’s definitely not all of the people that were allowed to settle here. It’s also important to remember what I first stated. That is, we couldn’t really fully “vet” people in-country. It was ultimately based on contact. Ergo, there is zero way to reliably vet these people once they’re here. Overall, in general, I wouldn’t trust people the agency deemed as assets unless it came from someone in operations. See Camp Chapman as one example why.

The problem of trying to figure out who "the good ones" are is, you started with a corrupt process, and then spent 20 years trying to overcome a flawed and imprecise method of figuring out who you could trust.

Then there's the whole thing about CIA being a corrupt and untrustworthy institution itself. If they're the ones doing the vetting.....

The net result: Dead Americans.

Which is not a sustainable thing. You have to toss the whole factory. Burn it to the ground, and start over.

Pretty much everything we get from overseas is harvested, mined, refined, processed, manufactured and assembled by slave or near-slave labor in atrocious conditions and zero occupational condition or environmental regulation. Metals and rare earth minerals for EV batteries? Slave labor, strip mining, and massive contamination. Clothing is especially bad. Carlin was generally right in his diagnosis but he was basically a communist (Democrat) so his solution was worse than the disease. And oddly enough so much of what he railed against the Democrats were doing left and right, but put the blame mostly on Republicans and Christians (whom he hated with a passion).

Sir, there were far too many agency people with Ivy League degrees in psychology trying to build a profile on assets, and not enough of the operational/SO people like Johnny Spann. When we first started dropping in ODA’s at the beginning, they were invaluable. Most could speak the language, knew the culture, had reliable contacts and could pick up just about any weapon on the battlefield and fight. At some sad point that got traded for people who didn’t make a third of that contribution IMVHO.

A basis of free trade is the principle of comparative advantage; Country A is good at making one thing, and Country B is good at making another. Why force each country to do what they're bad at when you can simply have them trade with each other instead.

America has over 330 million people in it (well, 300mm if you deport the illegals). We're the 4th largest country in land mass in the world. You can't tell me that we can't be making most of what we get from the world within our borders, and it would be pretty good and fairly cheap. I keep hearing how backwards Mississippi is (it's not) - we can't make anything there?

She's got twice his numbers in current Dem party polls. Think about it from a dem party perspective, and realize they're both playing mainly to black voters, small part of the total voters in Texas, but as much as 50% of the Dem primary vote:
Allred: Kind of quiet, ex football player, meant to be unthreatening to white people,
Crockett - Loud, in your face Ghetto Girl who's good at trash talk and shouting down anyone who goes face to face with her in any kind of uncontrolled setting.

Crockett is what Dem voters want right now. Allred couldn't last 5 minutes in a debate with her, not unless he promised to go all Ike Turner on her ass.

Tariffs should also apply to factors that are gained by violating obvious standards, like child labor, slave or coerced labor, pollution, etc. As long as the 19th amendment stands you'll never be able to roll back environmental regulations here, so you need to start enforcing them there to get actual free trade.

The people who rag on "free trade" are complaining about those things our politicians and elites decided to do about unions and the cost of labor: Export our jobs, and import that cheap goods that come back (with themselves getting rich).

That's not "free trade." That's a controlled economy, no more or less so than communism. Only this time, American fatcats did it.

I don't think she has a chance in a statewide race - because Hispanic voters, especially hispanic men, hate the trash talking ghetto girl type even more than the anglos do. They've got way too much experience with them in their day to day lives.

The Dem's 30 year mistake in Texas has been to think that Hispanics and Black voters can make common ground, but they hate each other more than either of them hate anglos.
