They have been declaring it openly since even before 09/11/2001. And all the West has done over the past 2-3 decades is make it easier for Islam to take over Western civilization. Civilizational suicide.
Amy Mek @AmyMek WARNING: PAY ATTENTION AMERICA They are not hiding it. They are declaring it openly: “Islam will enter every country, every city, every village, every home — by hook or by crook. Every house will have a Muslim inside. Islam will honor those who submit and humiliate those who disbelieve.” Does that sound like “interfaith dialogue”? No. That is a battle plan. What is a color revolution? DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican Here is the truth, lifted from my manuscript. They do not like boiling a color revolution down to a sequence for a few reasons among which: 1) The people participating tend to be siloed (civic engagement isn't the same as vote tabulation) 2) They depend on the veneer that color revolutions are totally organic But this is the 7-step sequence which I reverse-engineered. Worthy of repost from the tech thread:
Someone blogging about the AI stuff had a very good explanation that seems very accurate. When you chat with an LLM, and it combines names, dates, and events in a way that there was no source for and is untrue, it is called a hallucination. When you chat with an LLM, and it combines names, dates, and events in a way that is true... it's still a hallucination. It just got where you wanted. And you accept it as fact. There's actually not that much difference between the two, except whether you're knowledgeable enough to already know the answer yourself. In Kokura, South Island of NZ, you can get dropped in the path of pods of oncoming Dusky dolphins. If you can get/stay down a few feet under (not so simple with a buoyant wet suit, which you need cuz the water is pretty cold), some of them will circle you and eye you for a bit before moving on. The young ones did it the most, of course.
Biologist on the boat said best theory about dolphins jumping/flipping (which the pod was doing as it approached) was that "they do it for fun". She also noted that the randy little sea mammals have sex .... um, a lot. Hilarious young Brit on the boat said "I want to come back as a dolphin!". Stopping to investigate, she asked how old the child was. "Ten, I reckon," was the laconic answer. "Ten?" the shocked woman repeated. "Why, that's much too old! You need to wean him immediately!" Celebrate Orson Welles the man who mad fun movies, not the god of cinema.
——— He starred in a radio program called The lives of Harry Lime after a movie by the same name, I guess. It’s pretty good, the writing was good, he was a good actor, although I dislike the phony baloney “Mid Atlantic” accent he affected. Most actresses in the 30s and 40s had it too. I'll also get to have the best part of Thanksgiving, the turkey and stuffing leftover sandwiches. Posted by: ace at November 28, 2025 12:42 PM (1wjle) Did you have friends and / or family over, Ace? Thanksgiving here at Stately Poppins Manor was low-key, but I ended up making much more food than I needed, so there are plenty of leftovers. One thing I do is what I call 'turkey packets.' You take some premade dough, shape it into a square, then put your leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn, gravy and such in the middle, fold it all up into a square, brush butter on top and bake until golden brown. Sort of a turkey Hot Pocket, if you will. Kona is good. Are you really getting Kona, or a blend? Or any Kona at all? It was way overpriced in Hawaii, I doubt it’s worth it anywhere else, due to shipping costs, unless money is no object.
I shopped for a while at a mall in Virginia right outside DC in the early 1990s, probably where all the Beautiful People shopped for their coffee. They had a HUGE coffee selection at one shop. Very good coffees, all roasted to perfection. The United States Senate cafeteria serves Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, or did at one time. I gulped and bought some of that once. It’s quite good, assuming it was the real deal. A million pounds of it are sold every year or whatever, even though only a fraction of that is actually harvested. It’s not a strong flavored coffee, although very clean. It’s the Filet Mignon of Coffee. Tender, but a little lean. Gimme a Porterhouse. Another book I read recently was [i}Ed Wood: Made in Hollywood USA by Will Sloan. It's not a full-length bio, more of a long-form essay and a good look at Wood's career. My only caveat is that Sloan takes Glen or Glenda? and uses that, as well as Wood's angora fetish, to reboot him as a misunderstood LBBT-whatever pioneer.
He did make a point I thought was interesting - that the general failure of Wood was not that he made bad movies (which he did), but rather that the movies he did make were copies of ones he had enjoyed as a child. In that view, while Plan 9 would have been a perfectly acceptable early 1950s schlock SF flick, it's tone was completely out of date by the time it saw release in 1959. Regarding weather instrumentation, old school is the best school. Stay away from all the shit introduced in the last ten years. Make sure that the cups and the wind vane are not shadowed. It's surprising how something so simple to understand is ignored. Ambient WS-5000 and WS-4000 uses a terrible "ultrasonic" rain gauge that has proven to be highly inaccurate. Davis has traditionally made good stuff. The interface is what you really need to understand to meet your personal needs. I'd recommend the Davis Vantage Vue or the Ambient WS-2000. I've read that Vertigo is now ranked as the best film of all time, and while I love some Hitchcock and Jimmy Stewart I don't even think that's Hitchcock's best film much less being better than Citizen Kane which was a true masterpiece and was revolutionary in some of it's sets, cinematography and lighting techniques.
It was ranked as the best ever for so long based on more than just the story and acting. Posted by: SpeakingOf at November 28, 2025 01:20 PM (6ydKt) 165

Posted by: SpeakingOf at November 28, 2025 01:20 PM (6ydKt) ===== The BFI Sight and Sound poll in 2012 said that Vertigo was the best ever, after Citizen Kane had topped every poll the magazine had done since 1952 (it's a once a decade survey). In 2022, it was Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles. The BFI poll is built by sending out a request to critics to give them a list of Top 10 movies. Critics send back their opinions, and then the BFI takes those results. Mentions on each entry. Most gets top spot, and then down. The top movie never gets mentioned on more than about 25% of all surveys. So, a single feminist film scholar can completely throw everything in arears by conditioning her students to love some slow feminist movie from 1978. Rear Window is much better than Vertigo, IMHO.

LAZY LEFTOVERS ... Firmly press some stuffing/dressing onto a pizza baking pan ... Apply a thin layer of mashed potatoes ... Scatter with chunks and bits of turkey ... Drizzle with a little gravy ... Top with a generous amount of shredded mozzarella ... Bake until everything is thoroughly heated ... Remove from oven, cut into wedges, and spoon on cranberry sauce/relish (if desired) ... Might be safer to serve on a plate and eat with a fork and knife (rather than in hand).

>>> And today he is telling me to "call and talk" to people.
I texted people Thanksgiving greetings last night. Hopefully that covers most of the "call and talk" for me for the holiday. I do have some family I should call today though. Posted by: LizLem at November 28, 2025 01:27 PM (gWBY1) 173
not that I'm a Luddite or anything (far from it) but Chateau D'Eez uses all manual weather instumentation:
two different rain gauges on different sides of the house (they rarely read alike) two thermometers; calibrated by reference to a big old lab-grade mercury thermometer wind speed by SWAG humidity can be measured by wet bulb / dry bulb sling psychrometer if I want to go to the trouble. data logging on a large calendar from the bank I don't hate digital, or the array of electronic sensors out there, but I like simple, as in direct physical connection with the thing measured, a lot. low maintenance. no batteries. runs on high-school physics, or what used to be high-school physics in the before time ... & not trying to discourage you, Bif, I hope the weather station users here help you find a good one! I'm just taking advantage of the topic to get out the soapbox and toss in my two cents worth. (and I see I'm willowed too, lol!)
