Democrat House Member Charged With Stealing $5 Million in FEMA Funds for Her Own Benefit

She used the stolen money partly to fund her congressional campaign, so that she was in a position to steal more money.

🚨 BREAKING: The DOJ has just charged Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (FL) with stealing $5 MILLION in FEMA funds meant for disaster relief

If convicted, she faces 53 YEARS in federal prison.

FINALLY! Time to EXPEL her as well, @SpeakerJohnson.

Sheila also is alleged to have used a lot of that stolen FEMA money to fund her Congressional campaign.

What a piece of trash. Lock her up.

BREAKING: DOJ charges Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) with stealing $5 million in FEMA funds, laundering the proceeds, and then using the money to support her 2021 Congressional campaign. She faces up to 53 years in prison if convicted.

According to the indictment, DOJ says:

"Cherfilus-McCormick, 46, and her brother Edwin Cherfilus, 51, both of Miramar, worked through their family health-care company on a FEMA-funded COVID-19 vaccination staffing contract in 2021. In July 2021, the company received an overpayment of $5 million in FEMA funds.

Of course covid was part of this, as well as the Biden Money Spigot for his left-wing frenz.

The indictment alleges that the defendants conspired to steal that $5 million and routed it through multiple accounts to disguise its source. Prosecutors allege that a substantial portion of the misappropriated funds was used as candidate contributions to Cherfilus-McCormick's 2021 congressional campaign and for the personal benefit of the defendants.

The indictment further alleges that Cherfilus-McCormick and Nadege Leblanc, 46, of Miramar, arranged additional contributions using straw donors, funneling other monies from the FEMA-funded Covid-19 contract to friends and relatives who then donated to the campaign as if using their own money.

The indictment also charges Cherfilus-McCormick and her 2021 tax preparer David K. Spencer, 41, of Davie, with conspiring to file a false federal tax return. According to the indictment, they falsely claimed political spending and other personal expenses as business deductions and inflated charitable contributions in order to reduce her tax obligations."

No presume about it. She was indicted by a grand jury in Miami and the case is being tried by U.S. Attorney Jason A. Reding Quiñones for the Southern District of Florida.

He's the same guy that is building the conspiracy case against the deep state that went after Trump for a decade.

Its my wild-ass guess that IF we could ask God how much of our Federal tax money was actually used for what it was ear-marked to address, the answer would be less than 20 percent.

And that sounds like "fun" conversation until we examine it further and realize the countless lives that were *ruined* by wage garnishments, tax liens, bankruptcies, etc. And then the families that were split or the families that chose to stay childless or stopped at 1 or 2 kids because of the continual 15-30% DRAIN on their paychecks by having tax monies withheld that were going to fund rich politicians and their cronies rather than making life better.

In CA, several of the politicians started recently receiving letters from the FBI that their communications were intercepted as part of the investigation into the corruption probe of Newsom's former chief of staff.

It's required by statute, but IIRC, maybe is only sent out after the investigation is mostly complete?

I think things did get worse when airports realized they could charge big rents to bars and restaurants that sold hard booze to captive audiences. It's not a coincidence that 99% of the big "air rage" incidents involve drunks.

As for the airlines themselves, for the most part they are fine. In all my experiences flying -- 100s of times -- there were only a few total assholes on power trips.

I've got somewhere near 3 to 400,000 miles on various airlines and have never run into the obnoxious prick on a plane that needed to be taped to a seat or escorted off.

E85 is already supposed to be limited to only specifically made flex-fuel cars. I can't imagine 85% ethanol is a lot less harsh than 100%. I believe Indycar racing runs on 100% ethanol?

Everclear is ethanol. Pure ethanol is safe to drink, if mixed down to a palatable concentration. But much of the ethanol sold for industrial use is denatured, and therefore poisonous.
