I had great fun at University in class pointing out what wankers they were about it. I related the anecdote about how maintenance turned a UH60 BlackHawk into a lowrider on the flightline for a certain CW4 Gonzales before he came out for a preflight inspection, with fuzzy dice and all sorts of “culturally specific” accoutrements and regalia. He thought it was hilarious. My point was to illustrate that we can learn to not take ourselves too seriously.

I've read an Asian (Japanese or Korean, I can't recall which) story where the main character is transported to a flat world and has to try to explain how Australia works to people who literally do live on a flat world.
