Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 11/11/25![]() The fold likely reinforces the convictions held by many voters on the Left that Washington Democrats are giving them mere lip service and threatens Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) continued hold on his leadership position.Meh, pass the popcorn and let them tear each other apart. That said, unfortunately for us normal human beings, there will be no Mutually Assured Destruction. Regardless of which faction comes out on top, their common trait of an unslakable thirst for absolute power while defecating on our mass grave, after squeezing every last drop of blood and treasure from our bodies means that the Democrat Left or whatever brand name it might change into will still remain. So, whether Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk are/were both flashes in the pan, what they both have managed to achieve in a very short time has the potential to blossom into the complete undoing of the Leftist enterprise. Whether that comes about in our lifetimes or if at all remains to be seen. But that said, the forces of darkness and evil and their instrumentality of destruction with its epicenter in the Democrat Party will not rest and will resort to greater and greater levels of violence to conquer us. Today, we see familiar signs of foreign wars on our own streets: the normalization of political violence, the collapse of enforcement authority, the ideological capture of civil institutions, and the strategic demoralization of those still willing to stand post. These are no longer foreign indicators, but domestic realities. What we are seeing in the streets of Chicago and New York is not random violence; it is the very thing we swore an oath to protect against. It is insurgent in nature, symbolic in purpose, and deeply strategic in effect. When Border Patrol agents are ambushed in an American city, it is not merely a crime; it is an assault on the institution charged with upholding the boundary of American citizenship. Citizenship is more than paperwork. It is the covenant that binds a people; the shared rights, duties, and the consent to govern ourselves together. Without it, sovereignty is an empty word. . . We’ve reached a point where the narrative surrounding immigration enforcement has been fully inverted. Those upholding the law are portrayed as tyrants, aggressors, and racists, while those obstructing it are framed as defenders of freedom and justice. . . . . . This Veterans Day, we must say the quiet part out loud: the war we fought abroad has come home. The difference is that we no longer call it war. We call it politics. We call it protest. We call it compassion. But we know the truth. We were trained to recognize insurgency, subversion, and the collapse of legitimate authority. We were trained to defend boundaries, not just lines on a map, but the moral and legal foundations of a free nation. That fight is now ours again. At the height of the anti Vietnam War Protests that raged on streets and campuses across the country, culminating in the shooting at Kent State in May of 1970 the rallying cry of the Leftists was "Bring the War Home!" And here we are 55 years later and the war is at home. In many ways it is a civil war and fought not just with bullets, bricks, molotov cocktails and such but with subversion and treachery as was amply demonstrated by Clinton, Comey, Brennan et al who subverted the institutions and agencies that are there to keep us safe and free by turning them into heinous tools of oppression and repression made all the more uglier than the Gestapo, Stasi and KGB by virtue of the fact that they sprang from among us right here in the bastion and stronghold of freedom and liberty or what was supposed to be those. Considering we have not fired a literal volley back at the enemy, and certainly not committed any pre-emotive or unprovoked acts of violence on them, it's not much of a war is it. It's more of a simmering pogrom against us. Again, happy and blessed Veterans Day to you all, and long live the cause of freedom - OUR CAUSE, Here and now in this hour! And may the terrible swift sword of justice and vengeance smite those who seek our destruction. Amen. And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. This Veterans Day, we must say the quiet part out loud: the war we fought abroad has come home.
It was always home. The inherent malignancy of Islam notwithstanding, much of the nature of international political Islam was conceived in Langley, Virginia, probably initially as a weapon against the eternal enemy - Russia (or the USSR, as it was then). The western ICs then pushed the globohomo agenda everywhere. Via propaganda where possible, and color revolutions where required. Until we can accept that we were the architects of all that has happened, we cannot properly address the fallout from our actions. In his interview with Coleman Hughes this week (posted here on YouTube), Victor Davis Hanson recalled the scene in which Homer Parrish’s loss of his arms is denigrated in front of Fred by the soda fountain customer who earnestly instructs Homer, “We fought the wrong people, that’s all.”
Homer asks him, “Look here, Mister, what are you selling, anyway?” The customer claims not to be selling anything but “plain, old-fashioned Americanism.” Fred is the soda jerk working behind the counter. He comes to Homer’s defense, jumping over the counter to deck the customer. He explains to his boss as he strips off his apron, “Don’t say it, chum. The customer is always right, but this customer wasn’t right.” I thought until recently that this scene might be unrealistic, but Tucker Carlson has made it real. -Scott Johnson ==== Nothing to add. When refineries in other states figure out they can make more money brewing California's boutique blends, they will make them and that will reduce the supply of gasoline in other states thus raising gasoline prices in those states as well.

Understanding that Google probably discourages its drivers to enter into the really bad neighborhoods, so what ends up available for us Gringos to watch is the sanitized street views. Go make random virtual walks down any third world city or town and note the architecture and "Curb Appeal". When refineries in other states figure out they can make more money brewing California's boutique blends, they will make them and that will reduce the supply of gasoline in other states thus raising gasoline prices in those states as well.

Happy Veterans Day! With the VA shutdown, I will l have to improvise on my list of free lunches today. Given diet concerns, I'll forego the usual post-"Taps" gluttony.
I will also remind people not to be blinded by the secular materialist view of the world. We are spiritual creatures and God has put forth His power and are driving the demons back. We all felt the oppression, and now we're getting used to breathing a little easier. There is panic among the Enemy's minions. They are filled with rage, irrational, fuming, crying out and lashing out. Do not mistake this for strength. We know how they acted when they were strong - arrogant, confident, "history" was on their side. All of that is changing. Yesterday I went to the local chain pet store where I get my cat's weird special food and the giant display of two gay guys (holding a gerbil, no less!) was gone. This is just one more example of how the Woke tide is receding. The fight continues, but we will win. Never for get that. Apology Demand: She said “Jeans were invented by us, for us. It’s a Black legacy.” That’s what Dawn Staley is claiming while DEMANDING a national apology from American Eagle because they picked Sydney Sweeney over Angel Reese for a modeling campaign. This is the same Dawn Staley who has spent the last year turning college sports into a racial purity test and acting like any success from a white athlete is somehow “stolen.” Let’s be serious: • Jeans were invented in 1873 • By Levi Strauss (a German-Jewish immigrant) and Jacob Davis • In California • For gold miners • Not the WNBA. Not Division 1 basketball. And definitely not Dawn Staley’s “Black legacy.” This isn’t activism. This is gatekeeping fame and resentment disguised as empowerment. Angel Reese is doing just fine. Sydney Sweeney is doing just fine. There is enough success for everyone. But Dawn wants credit, control, and a culture war, not unity. Nobody owes an apology for choosing an actress for a clothing ad. The only apology needed is from Dawn Staley, for trying to racialize fashion, sports, womanhood, and now jeans. Cash in U.S. bank packaging seized from suspects
"I still can’t grasp the scale of NABU’s hit on the corrupt. This isn’t a joke. The President’s partner from ‘Kvartal 95’ and the favorite energy minister from the circle of traitor Andrii Derkach, this isn’t some clownish jokes about ebonite sticks. I’ll publish a series of posts to break this down. The basic fact is this: Zelenskyy himself is not at risk. De jure he is protected from investigations by both NABU and the FBI. That said, their interest will be perfectly natural because Zelenskyy’s ‘nuclear grifters’ had bundles of dollars seized that were still in American bank packaging (you can see it in the largest photo on the screenshot). They didn’t even bother to switch the cash into Ukrainian ‘wrappings’: straight off the plane from the U.S., packed for kickbacks. And that, so to speak, will sharpen the interest of investigators across the ocean," the journalist wrote. Good morning JJ, Horde
Thank you for your kind words, JJ. Speaking of which, an old Army buddy saw some of the most vicious combat there was in Fallujah. His experience makes for the kind of stories you tell only to fellow grunts ... or to horrified family and friends when you've had too much to drink at Christmas. If what I've seen is true, the new head of Syria, a former Al Qaeda commander, killed Americans in Fallujah. And Trump shook his hand in the White House a short time ago. I have said for many years that Beck is mentally ill. Or at least very emotionally unstable. But then, I've also said for many years that Carlson is a charlatan.
I no longer blame many of these people for their bullshit, scams and lunatic ravings. They are who they are, and they make it really obvious. It's the fault of their marks. They know they can say just about anything and be fine, because as long as they occasionally say something the audience really, really wants to hear, years of idiocy will be immediately forgotten in milliseconds. One of the starkest examples of this was during the King's first reign. Dozens of ConInc media crawled out of the woodwork, got absolutely everything dead wrong for YEARS, and right up until the bitter end, had millions of people on the Right barking like puppies. #SomeoneIsComing! #TwoWeeks! #ReleaseDuhKraken! The humorless, hypocritical dweeb from the Times reveals both the moral superiority and complete incapacity for self-awareness of the Left. They simply see themselves not just as better people but as perfect people. At one point he shakes his head in scorn at the idea that that calling conservatives "fascists" is worse than calling a liberal woman "fat." Bloomberg Opinion: The Shutdown is Ending. Did Democrats...win?
If this is not a the impetus for universal healthcare I cannot fathom what is. I’m tired of this narrative that Democratic leadership and the DNC are just out-of-touch and incompetent. They’re actively complicit controlled opposition. One business party, two factions. Well, this probably helps AOC if she tries to primary Schumer. Is that a win? Dems lost just one yard from the goal post. Schumer screwed this up because he plays poker like a guy afraid to lose money. Republicans were never going to cave. The end game was to point out Republicans had a chance to lower ACA cost and said f the poor. When subsidies expire and people see what it does to affordability, Dems may be able to say “see, we warned you" during the midterms. Assuming voters act rationally... I suspect one of the contributing factors to the rise in kidney disease is certain medications that have been increasingly prescribed. I know of a couple of heart meds that are rather hard on a person's kidneys and it seems that some heart patients tend to die of kidney failure before the heart failure takes them.

>>Unfortunately, the Harvard report that drew such harsh student condemnation remains hidden on the university’s intranet, but a Crimson article gives the gist. The study “found that more than 60 percent of grades awarded to Harvard undergraduates are A’s, compared to only a quarter of grades two decades ago. It concluded that Harvard’s current grading system is ‘damaging the academic culture of the College.’”
Had a friend who worked at Harvard over two decades ago, and even then grade inflation was prevalent. She told me roughly 75% of students graduated with honors. You see, if you get accepted to attend Harvard you have already been judged excellent, so the grading simply reinforces that - if you're here, you're awesome, so A's for all you awesome students! =============== One change I'd like to see is the required vote to convict impeached judges. Holding them to the same standard as a President (67 votes) or SCOTUS Justices means, in this day and age, it is impossible to get rid of district judges, no matter how egregious their scumbaggery. I propose a lower standard for lower level district judges, say 60 votes. Posted by: Huck Follywood at November 11, 2025 09:17 AM (ynlJ2) 318

Fold3 from ancestry dot com service has digitized a lot of those military records remaining and rebuilt some via other government records such as land grant applications etc (useful for way back when land grants for vets was common) along with Civil War pension records. Navy and Marines have their own records which AFAIK are complete more or less. Fold3 has also digitized a lot of things like basic training yearbooks etc. that are quasi official. In some cases, if you know the theater he was in, you can also go to the National Archives for war related records such as unit histories, disciplinary records, etc., some of those records are online via digitizing but most require actually travel to the correct National Archives facility holding the documents. Funny story about military records. I was applying for a VA loan because why not? The lady told me that I had to provide a certain document to prove eligibility.
Me: "I am a veteran. I am calling the VA. I gave you my Social Security number, my dates of service and my branch that is not good enough?" Nope. Contact my unit. They don't have it. Contact Saint Louis. They don't have anything. Find out that I have to contact Quantico. And the building was on a skeleton crew due to a transformer blowing up. Finally reach a person. The Justice Department is evaluating a criminal referral accusing former CIA Director John Brennan of lying to Congress. In the referral, Republican members of the House allege that Brennan lied to investigators trying to figure out what the nation’s intelligence agencies did in their pursuit of President Donald Trump over the Russia collusion matter. The case is a strong one.

That’s funny? 😀 After my Dad passed I have to say that obtaining the military pension for my mom was fairly smooth. I hated my job in insurance claims with a passion but grateful for it because it was that expertise which made getting that pension a smooth process. If what I've seen is true, the new head of Syria, a former Al Qaeda commander, killed Americans in Fallujah.
And Trump shook his hand in the White House a short time ago. On a related note, my friend is 100% convinced Major General Smedley Butler, USMC, was right in "War is A Racket." Posted by: callsign claymore ====== John Adams himself had to make nice with King George III as American ambassador to UK despite King George and his troops ignoring the rules of war quite frequently including vicious and inhumane treatment of prisoners on prison ships. Twas always thus. Moralistic foreign policy always ends up failing because regimes worldwide are often run by nasty killers that climbed to the top job on a host of bodies. Real politick in IR often results in the US getting into bed with all sorts of evil critters to make nice before the cameras. So, it is kind of picking your poison going forward and the average citizen suffers most as in most of what government does. Posted by: whig at November 11, 2025 09:38 AM (WDjG6) 388
Fun hard to believe fact - in terms of shipping by ocean, Indonesia is closer to California than Texas is. Tankers can’t use the Panama Canal.
Posted by: Tom Servo ------ Seems like money to be made if they build a BFP (Big F Pipeline) and accoutrements* alongside the Canal. * Tanker loading and unloading facilities at either end. *sigh* Posted by: Sponge ======== I would guess that lawyers for the Blaze got a nasty gram from the woman's lawyer disputing the story and to avoid compounding any risk, Beck was told to stay schtum on repeating the name. We shall see if the woman tries to launch a defamation suit but that would open her up to a proctological exam over her own activities in discovery as truth is always a defense in defamation cases. People guilty of crimes rarely go beyond sending a lawyer's letter disputing the story in such cases. Posted by: whig at November 11, 2025 09:42 AM (WDjG6) 391

Thanks to uncle sam for sending me to a 2 year party in Germany in the 80s while serving my country. What a blast!

Rand Paul is just so much more principled than us.
It's easy to be a backbencher when you don't have to govern. Posted by: redridinghood ----- I'm going to defend the guy. He was making a point - not incidentally a very different point than the Dumbocrats - and his actions had zero.effect regarding the shutdown. At no point did his vote make the difference. There was no time when there were 7 D's voting for cloture and his vote would have made the difference. Maybe he would have continued his protest and you'd have something real to bitch about, but maybe he would have "made the difference". It's a road untravelled. A Chinese diplomat issued a violent threat toward Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi after she warned that a Chinese blockade of Taiwan could pose a “survival-threatening situation” for Japan.
Xue Jian, China’s consul general in Osaka, Japan, posted on social media that he would “cut off a dirty neck without a moment of hesitation,” in a message that included a news article describing Takaichi’s remarks. Xue’s post has since been removed. Posted by: SMOD at November 11, 2025 10:50 AM (RHGPo) 395
Once the VA reopens you can go to their web site and request his service record. That will give you a bare-bones idea of what he did, rank, awards, etc.
Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd ----- Except if his data was affected. https://www.archives.gov/personnel-records-center/fire-1973 This caused a little problem in our family with VA benefits. His wife could paste together enough beat-up flimsies (3rd or 4th carbon on onion paper) of transfer records that he kept to convince the VA that he did serve where he claimed. Audie Murphy I am not, but I did the time. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd ----- Not a snipe, but I smell "O" grade pay rating. :-) When we did a major upgrade at my comm location, I did about 20% of the physical work, and most of the paperwork and direct supervision, as well as a lot of little troubleshooting when the drawings didn't match reality. I got an "attaboy" from the NCO, who, himself, received a Letter of Commendation. I didn't begrudge him that - he was a lifer and I was counting days to getting out. The 1st L OIC, who did nothing, literally, except sign material reqs that either I or Sarge prepared, got the Army Commendation Medal. Posted by: buddhaha at November 11, 2025 11:15 AM (AQgeI) 398
I suspect one of the contributing factors to the rise in kidney disease is certain medications that have been increasingly prescribed. I know of a couple of heart meds that are rather hard on a person's kidneys and it seems that some heart patients tend to die of kidney failure before the heart failure takes them.
Posted by: Emmie ----- Not just prescriptions. Ibuprofen. I knew a bunch of long distance runners, the kind that consider 5 miles to be a warmup. They all joked about Vitamin I, and used it almost daily for the anti-inflammatory effect. Posted by: buddhaha at November 11, 2025 11:25 AM (AQgeI) 399
