Surprise! A Virologist Warned the "Intel" Community That Covid-19 Did Not Look Natural and Likely Came From a Lab.
Then Fauci Had a Chat With Him.
And Then He Started Telling the Public and Congress It Must Be a Natural Virus.

tRuSt ThE eXpErTs

Prominent Virologist Warned Intelligence Community COVID-19 Could Have Leaked From Wuhan Lab. Then He Met With Fauci and Changed His Tune.

The researcher, UNC professor Ralph Baric, also privately downplayed the wet market theory but publicly lent it credit

A prominent U.S. virologist who collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology before the COVID-19 pandemic privately informed the U.S. intelligence community in January 2020 that the Chinese lab may be responsible for the outbreak. But in his public remarks to congressional staffers one month later--and after meeting with former White House health adviser Anthony Fauci--the researcher stayed mum about the Wuhan lab and lent credence to the discredited wet market theory.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill virologist Dr. Ralph Baric warned the Office of the Director of National Intelligence during a closed-door presentation with the agency's Biological Sciences Experts Group on or around Jan. 29, 2020, that the Wuhan lab, which was conducting risky gain-of-function experiments on bat viruses similar to the one that causes COVID-19, may have accidentally released the virus into the human population. Baric's presentation, which the Washington Free Beacon obtained from a whistleblower, went beyond mere speculation: Considered one of the world's foremost experts on coronaviruses, Baric experimented with coronaviruses in 2015 with the Wuhan Institute of Virology's top researcher, Shi Zhengli. Later, in early 2024, he testified to House investigators that he had privately warned Shi that her lab lacked sufficient biosafety protections and that he always believed a lab leak origin was possible.

But Baric had nothing to say about the Wuhan lab in his public remarks during the early days of the pandemic as the press cast Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) and other proponents of the lab leak theory as unhinged conspiracy theorists.

Huh. You don't say.

Baric's private presentation to the intelligence community in January 2020, which was first disclosed Friday by Sen. Rand Paul (R., Ky.), was almost identical to a public briefing he delivered to the Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus the following month on Feb. 26, 2020. For the public presentation, however, Baric removed the slides referencing the possibility that the virus could have leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

...

Rutgers University professor of chemical biology Richard Ebright, one of the most prominent academic proponents of the lab leak theory, said it was no coincidence that Baric omitted his references to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in his public presentation. Ebright said Baric held a "highly unusual one-on-one meeting" with Fauci on Feb. 11, 2020, an appointment reflected in a copy of Fauci's schedule obtained through a Freedom of Information Act Request.

At the time, Fauci was quietly coordinating efforts to cast the lab leak theory as a baseless conspiracy. Fauci and former National Institutes of Health director Francis Collins were also warned about the Wuhan lab's potential role in the outbreak during a Feb. 1, 2020, conference call. But instead of heeding those warnings, Collins and Fauci, who led the federal agencies that funded gain-of-function research with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, set out to cast discussions of lab origin of COVID-19 as a baseless conspiracy theory.

Collins lamented in an email exchange with Fauci the next day that discussion of a lab origin of COVID-19 "would do great potential harm to science and international harmony."

Trust the experts, peons.

They are above suspicion. Unlike non-experts, they all have sterling characters and possess no human flaws that can be exploited. They are never motivated by money or self-interest.

27 NOT FIRST, but the best!

The damn lies from covid have totally feked up medicine, possibly forever. There is no longer trust. I have an ARNP whom I like and she listens to me.

The one internist I "interviewed" in the spring argued with me to have a shingles shot and I said no. Argued with me to have a bone scan and I said no because my grandmothers and mother (currently almost 95yrs) did not have osteoarthritis. I am certainly not a candidate with my extra 30lbs since covid and my fat cells producing estrogen...I said I won't take the meds.

I mean, we ALL knew it was from filthy Wuhan. We all knew it was man made. Now we all know it is in every single damn cold and will test positive if anyone bothers. It is a cold.

Oh, I do remember the fear of watching videos of the chy knee dropping dead on streets. I remember the crap I did to keep us and sons safe. I don't regret any of that. I do get po'd at people still whinging about it, or telling me to take Ivermectin (and if you do, go for it)...when I have a long Q-T EKG and it would do something to me. I just yearly get a cold and am done with it. I drink tonic water with my gin and hope for the best as quinine helps malaria, too.

Prior to getting Covid she had been on a ventilator a month prior but rallied to recover enough to go home. I wish one of her attendants at the retirement home hadn't given her Covid but her passing was going to be sooner rather than later regardless of Covid. She was 82 and smoked since she was 15.

1. A democratic republic form of government is not an intellectual exercise.

124 It’s basic statistics and error margins. Those covid in-vitro diagnostic tests have something like a 2% false negative rate and a 2% false positive rate. (It’s actually worse than that, but whatever.)

If you test a million people and the incidence rate is 5%, that is 1-in-20 people actually have covid that’s 50k people. The tests will catch 49k of those and miss 1k (2% false negative rate.)

So how many false positives? 1k? No, 20k, because of the 2% false positive rate. So of the 69K who test positive, 20k (almost 1-in-3) won’t actually have the illness.

But it gets worse. Because people who have the sniffles kept getting tested over and over, while people who test positive isolated at home. As a result, you’re lowering the incidence rate but continuing to test people who don’t have covid, driving up the number of false positives.

If a non-sick person did 50 tests in a row, they’re almost guaranteed to generate at least one false positive, at which point they are labeled covid positive and told to isolate.

Pure lunacy.

You can't tell me news agencies--who warned us about "backlash" weren't ready to run "backlash" stories.

I had an Iranian friend at the time, and the coverage got me seriously worried that his family might suffer "backlash". Not obsessively worried, mind you. Not convinced but dourly worried what if the family were made to suffer, kind of thing.

173 This story is bullshit. One of the two competing projects for building what became COVID was run by Baric.

Of course he fucking knew what it was, and we already have plenty of emails detailing his involvement the coverup. He didn't tell them "hey this may be lab made" he told the "hey this may be OURS".

This is an attempt at ass covering. The only real question is whether the Ecohealth project went ahead with Baric, or the other one did (who ran it, I can't quite recall - there has been suspicious silence on that one.

Remember also these fucks still haven't answered why they built certain features.intonthe virus that were wholly unnecessary for the stated purpose ... I'm fairly convinced this was an intentional release, or was set up as a deliberate "accident". These shitheads were adding elements from HIV and Dengue.

178 Late to the party today, lads, and just got around to reading Buck's morning rant.

Near the end he states: "Only about 6% of America’s private-sector work force is now unionized. My side won! We defeated organized labor and made it nearly irrelevant."

I was disappoint that I was not in the comments at that time to ask a question I didn't see using a couple quick word searches:

"What percentage of the public-sector work force is now unionized?"

[Querying my Brave Browser I get this APPALLING response:]

. As of 2024, 32.2% of America’s public-sector workforce is unionized.

. This rate remains more than five times higher than the private-sector unionization rate of 5.9%.

. Some sources report slightly different figures, such as 35.7% for the public sector in 2024, reflecting variations in measurement or data interpretation.

If you crank up the cycle count -- DURING AN EPIDEMIC -- you can get the false positive rate up to 50% or more.

All you are measuring is dead viral particles in the air, but they are every where, especially in a hospital or test facility. This was known from the start, so the intentionally cranked it up to make the test useless.

(This is partly why Chinese were testing anal swabs -- they are immune to this problem since any virus that is found there did not come from the air. This is also why the first thing epidemiologists did was look for virus in blood, but they found most people did not have that so blood test was useless.)

Until 15 days came and went, and then another week and then we started talking about May.

I remembered the original thing that we were "all in together", it was "15 days to slow the spread" or "flatten the curve".

But even despite the rhetoric of a curve to flatten, 0 infections, 0 deaths started being talked about.

I notice when goalposts move. We're suddenly not "in the thing" that we originally were "in together". And pray they don't alter the terms further.

It's also primarily spread through surface fecal contamination, there is that. Severe cases are also a blood infection (hence the success of antimalarials) resulting in mechanical pulmonary issues - bad cases are not a reapiratory illness at all, original coronavirus stock and its typical sniffes aside.

This method of spread was demonstrated convclusively in the cruise ship experiment and meat packing plant case studies, and the blood infection aspect drove most of the actually successful treatments.

239 Worst part of it all was the fact that they used the incredibly wrong treatment for those that were seriously sick from it. They basically killed them with the treatment.

Then, Gates came out with his drug for it and it not only didn't work for covid, it destroyed your kidneys and killed you that way.
Posted by: Sponge - F*ck Cancer at November 07, 2025 01:52 PM (Zz0t1)

Yes. I clearly remember an ICU doc in NYC saying vents made things worse, very early on. To treat the patients like you would if they had nitrogen gas after the bends from diving. No one listened.

Two docs in California said similar. No one listened (well, I did).

Then they took the Z-pack away because it was helping and "they" decided nope!

As someone with a history of occasional bronchitis Z-packs do work, especially with "walking pneumonia" caused by mycoplasma (which is not a virus or a bacteria). To get a Z-pack the docs had to "answer" to the damn government via the Internet. I was told this by an urgent care doc when I needed it in 2023. Like I was asking for cocaine for my lung infection.

The government intrusion into medicine has feked up our country's healthcare. I blame the dwarf Fauci.

The only sign that the GOP is going to sell us out is an incomplete quote from Thune that's being made out to be more than it actually is.

Now that there isn't an election coming up, neither side really has an incentive politically to give in.

Hell, Democrats are intentionally hurting their own base (government workers and welfare recipients, 65% of SNAP is in Harris states) and getting rewarded it.

Trump should...oblige them. It's obviously what Democrats want: for Daddy Trump to spank them so they feel it.

Crap, was unaware of and very sorry to hear that -- and he's relatively young!

Aside from the late great Oregon Muse (whom I sadly never had the pleasure to meet IRL), we only knew one individual who died from it (late 60s) -- and he did have co-morbidities.

It was weird because we heard he was put in a hospital, and then released ... and then subsequently (we're wondering if against his wishes) put back in a hospital by his son (perhaps trying to do the right thing?) -- where they eventually put him on a ventilator and killed him.

I also worked at the time with a VA Doctor (in his late 50s) who had co-morbidities and was quite ill -- but refused to go to the ER as his boss demanded because he said they'd kill him (and he was subsequently fired as a result, but lived by treating himself with the alternatives like Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin, Zinc, Z-Pak, et. al.).

The CRISPR thing is a huge scandal simmering in various research disciplines. Both Pfizer and Moderna chose specific, 100% optional nucleotide substitutions in bits that they "accidentally" left in the payload - in quantities of billions per dose - which "just happens" to be wrapped in COTS transcription enabling products, thus resulting - totally by accident, you guys gotta believe us - the better part of billion people now having a large volume of random CRISPR-ready sections. This is just one aspect of the biggest medical scandal and crime against humanity in history.

I have maintained for a couple of years now, hundreds of people need a rope.

Every year they estimate 20% of population get the flu. Usually if is not bad at all and many may not even realize it is the flu. But this happens because the virus keeps mutating and immunity is off target or lapsing.

For a new virus that no one has any immunity to, more people will get it, and it will be worse. But only at first since after that people will have some immunity.

Covid was like that - no worse than the flu, only it came all at once as no one had any immunity. And if you look at the number it was like 2x or 3x an average flu season. So bad, but we have seen much worse. And you don't shut down the world because of a bad flu season.

Many people died, but many people do die of flu - usually the elderly. This was MUCH worse though because the treatments were designed to kill -- remdesivir, ventilators, withholding steroids,.... They were optimized for profit, not treatment.

312 A year ago, summer 2024, we returned from Honolulu and sat in front of a couple wearing black masks. Pretty dang sure they had the coof.

The next day or so I got a bad frontal headache that would not go away with Advil. So I took myself to the ED drug seeking as a bad headache, while super rare, can go migraine puking for me. I can handle surgery somewhere on my body but not headaches.

I tested + for covid, which was a surprise souvenir. The ED doc did not offer a drug I would refuse and simply told me to alternate high doses of Advil and Tylenol for 3 days. I assume to keep the cytokine storm and inflammation down and it did. I was fine. Stayed in our bedroom for 5 days and my husband did not get it. It became a mild cold.

Son came back from Canada last month and was pretty sick with it, their baby and his wife had a runny nose. Like real viruses it does seem to mutate weaker, thankfully. My husband and I were exposed to him in a car for an hour when he was symptomatic and never got it. He took Advil and was ok after about 3 days (he aways gets sicker).

Damn chy knee. I also despise them as well a Fauci. Keep your damn nasty viruses in your country where you eat bats.

318 >>Yes, COVID had every biomarker of being manmade - that much can be substantiated. However, the nub of the problem is this - considering the pause on GOF in 2014, why then did the collaboration between the NIH and the Wuhan Institute continue otherwise unopposed?

This really isn't a conspiracy theory. It's a fact. After 9/11 and the anthrax attacks that followed, Dick Cheney was put in charge of reorganizing our bio weapons and bio weapons defense programs. Prior to 9/11 they were separate programs in the DOD. Cheney combined them and put them under one person, Anthony Fauci.

I assume the Wuhan connection was an off the books, black operation of the military complex.

Hunter Biden was also invested in a company that got contracts from the feds to do virus tracking. They were present in Wuhan. Does anyone really still wonder why the whole thing was blamed on a monkey banging a turtle in a Chinese wet market>

Yes.

And that's what a lot of this research is about. The lab that "cures the common cold" is going to be rich, they say. But that's just it, "the common cold" is not a thing but a level of corona virus severity that is many, many similar strains. So mRNA is SCIENCE!'s hope of "curing the common cold". Because being vaccinated against every strain of corona virus that would be lumped into "the common cold" is not possible.

The boy I loved first and briefly in 1975 had this. And there is still no "cure." It "was" one in a million people and seems to now be in the news. He was one in a million to me and died in 4mo after a surgery in which nothing could be done. It is also called Pseudomyxoma peritonei, or cancer of the omentum. But basically the same as what docs are now calling appendix cancer.

A friend of mine could not find the J&J vaccine and got Moderna. Within six months she had cancer. While maybe she would have gotten it anyway I will always wonder.

Flu shots do not have mRNA, altho they wished for this. I know because I get them since the mid-80's and ask each year. So far, since the mid-80's no influenza, which gave me mild lung damage. Hence why I get the shot. Influenza, the true "get hit by a truck" type, is far worse than my two trips with covid.

If anyone should have croaked from covid it is me and my beat up lungs. I didn't, thankfully.

I now have sort of asthma from colds, and inhalers keep me out of the hospital. It is called "reactive airway disease" and not true asthma. Purely from the damage of influenza then, two weeks later, mycoplasma in 1988.

No, I will not get it if it becomes mRNA.

No the inactivated virus does not give you the flu. You were already exposed.

Yes, there may be deadly crap in the vaccine, but they are now free of thimerosal or mercury. Childhood vaccines, which I don't agree with hepatitis and the schedule, are also free of thimerosal since 2021.

370 Thinking maybe we should thank our dear god it was leaked when it was & not a direct hit.

After all, some poor, overcrowded nations that rely largely on antivirals didn't have the dead rate the U.S. did in comparison, idt.

Maybe if they had managed to leak/kick it off here, it would have been much worse given our abundance of assisted living facilities; group homes; home healthcare 'visiting' businesses, etc.; the ability of the CDC & states to keep us pinned down, and the unwillingness to use/try off label drugs. (Especially the states that got carried away with their power.)

Interesting. I am O+ as is most of my family.

I could be wrong, as I did read about the Spanish Flu during the plandemic, but the cytokine storms are higher in the young due to better immune systems. Plus, aspirin had just recently been created (vs willow bark) and some kids got too much as dosing had not been worked out. One doc treated his patients, mostly WWI soldiers, with baking soda or alkaline water...and his survived. Aspirin is acidic.

I did plan to swig some baking soda in water but never think to do this. I do think he was on to something, however, to see those results in 1918. If I remember during my next mancold I will try it. Can't hurt, amirite?
