Good morning kids, and Happy Halloween. So, madness like this is bad enough.

If you’re not familiar with Democrat influencer Jennifer Welch, co-host of the popular I’ve Had It podcast, you will be, because as conservative activist and author Allie Beth Stuckey put it on X, Welch “holds the fate of the West in her hands.” On the Monday edition of the show she hosts with former attorney Angie “Pumps” Sullivan, Welch unloaded with a typically profane commentary in which she not only reveled in the politically motivated assassination of late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, but demanded that her fellow Democrats “get onboard” with this murderous agenda or else they’ll be targeted too.

I would assume that this beast, and that's putting it mildly when you see her headshot let alone hear the venom dripping from her reptilian maw and fangs, has been deplatformed everywhere. Of course that would be a completely foolish assumption given the nature of the media landscape.

Jennifer Welch Is Proof the New X Platform Algorithm Is Messing with Conservatives — It’s been more than a month, and more than a few conservatives have been complaining about a major algorithm shift on the X platform. Instead of seeing posts from people they follow or may like, the “For You” feed is serving up to conservatives all of the most hard-core leftists who didn’t take their ball and go home when Elon Musk bought Twitter.

Well, it certainly seems as if some in her audience have heard what she said and took it as marching orders

A federal grand jury in Chicago indicted six people, including a Democrat congressional candidate and other local politicians, on charges of interfering with a federal agent during a chaotic protest outside an immigration detention site last month.

For those who think what she did was no big deal, to date we have had ICE and other law enforcement officers assaulted and even firebombed and shot at. And it's not just some random podcaster inciting violence, it is major and minor Leftist political figures and Democrat party leadership itself that is shrieking loudest and shrillest in calling for the heads of their political enemies up to and most of all that of President Donald Trump.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, whose Day One memo had ordered prosecutors to give armed robbers a pass, has announced that he’s looking into prosecuting ICE agents.While Bragg had let a man accusing of raping a teenage girl go with 30 days and probation so that he went on a “sex-crime spree” attacking four different women until one of his victims hit him on the head with a hammer, he aggressively pursued President Trump and subway hero Daniel Penny who had prevented a crazed homeless man from attacking fellow passengers. . .
. . . The move by the California state government to create the legal infrastructure for trying to arrest federal law enforcement personnel marks a major escalation that could easily tip into violence. Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker has recognized the dangerous futility of local prosecutions now, threatening ICE personnel, “that maybe they’re not gonna get prosecuted today, although we’re looking at doing that, but they may get prosecuted after the Trump administration.”
. . . California, Chicago or Manhattan are no more entitled to protect their insurrectionist ‘sanctuaries’ for illegal alien criminals from federal law enforcement than Confederate forces were to shell Fort Sumter. Complaints about how ICE agents go about their work are a fig leaf that may pass muster with the type of federal district court judges that the ACLU has on speed dial, but won’t work at either a higher legal level let alone in an armed military confrontation. Sanctuary state Democrats are playing a foolish game that can only end in a civil war.

With all due respect to the estimable Daniel Greenfield, it can only end in a civil war if President Trump, whatever allies he has in government and the vast majority of the citizenry stand shoulder to shoulder with him when and IF he decides to wield a terrible swift sword of justice against Pritzker, Newsom, and the Democrat Party as a whole by removing them from office by force of arms, abolishing their party and putting this insurrection down, once and for all.

Likelihood of that happening is slim to none. So some time down the road, when Democrats assume control of the Executive and Legislative branches (likely by more election thievery) they will not let go and what was unleashed on candidate Trump and then President Trump starting 10 years ago and then on all of us who put him in office will be repeated by orders of magnitude. Evil never rests and on top of attempting to ensure they have absolute power forever, they will seek revenge and retribution against all of us.

Trump or no Trump, and whether the MAGA movement is a force to be reckoned with or if the miracle of Donald Trump's ascendancy is merely a temporary setback for the forces of darkness and evil that have been on the march for 200 years to destroy the American experiment is TBD.

IF you thought what we've experienced was nightmarish enough, the next 5 to 10 years and beyond may well be worse. God help us.

Y'know, the world is a funny place. I have long had the opinion that a nullification crisis would be preferable to outright civil war, because it provides an opportunity to avoid a war. Not a guarantee, but an opportunity. Nullification can easily result in war, but it at least has the *potential* to avoid it.

I saw it happening in conservative enclaves, particularly (or acting as a trigger) in opposition to federal oppression in the areas of environment, drugs, border or sex.

I did *not* see it happening in leftist enclaves in opposition to enforcement of laws they had been ignoring for decades.

It's fascinating.

Not at all. That *could* happen, but at that point, it stops being a nullification crisis and becomes open war. It's also unlikely, since that would be a discrete and nameable escalation and nobody really wants "started a war of choice between the states" on his record. It's why nullification is a hairy problem.

It is much, much more likely, IMO, that Trump will respond with soft power. Amped up enforcement directly by federal agents (already happening) over the opposition of the nullifying government, and the revocation of cash assistance (pending) or the institution of punitive civil measures (higher taxes, special regulations, etc., for the nullifiers), which I see as unlikely at least for now.

War is always a possible outcome, but I think it's unlikely anyone jumps right to the finish line. The point of a nullification crisis the desire to avoid the war.

That depends entirely on a handful of conditions, namely:
1. How many AWFLs follow her?
2. Of her AWFL following, how many are in a position - or can quickly acquire a position - to realize her desires?
3. How many men will do what those AWFLs tell them to do?

I am not familiar with Welch, but I am familiar with her type and their followings are almost entirely comprised of fellow women. Radical women can be extremely dangerous, but their power is *usually* wielded by proxy. Do they have proxies? I dunno.

But Stuckey may be overstating it. I doubt very much that Welsh has that kind of power. The AWFLs as a group very well might.

They have the right to nullify anything they please. That's sort of the point. Nobody, arguably, has the "authority" to nullify *anything* outside of the established processes of legislation and litigation. This is why the act of nullifying can cause wars. But they have the "right" to try, even in the absence of the "authority" to do so.

As to the second point, it makes war *more* likely, not less, IMO. If CA wanted to nullify the federal DOT on asphalt composition regulations for controlled-access highways, for example, nobody is going to raise up arms about *that*. They will succeed with it, authority be damned. But the risk of war is precisely because of the interstate externalities of their policies.

Thanks brother. So far I've had nothing but negative bimonthly MRIs knock on wood! And am feeling fine. My gut tells me that when I go, whenever that is, I will die from something wholly unrelated to this. Both my folks lasted until 79 and 83 respectively. So I'm 65 and still kicking. I expect to reach 80 but could very well be hit by a car this afternoon.

Right now, I'm just praying or my spouse who is dealing with hydrocephalus and will be undergoing treatment for that next week.

And had the exact reaction to it as did Critical Drinker, except-

Netflix intertwined itself with Obama and Big Mike which is common knowledge.

During his second term, on the 4th of July(!), Obama gave a speech where he said he wasn't worried about an atomic bomb hitting a major US city like NYC. Obama said that the US was so big and so wealthy that we should not retaliate. We should take the hit and absorb it.

I think this is what happened to "House of Dynamite", is that in it the Mary Sue Obama (he can actually shoot a basketball!) just can't decide whether to retaliate small, large, or extra crispy or to not retaliate at all.

And that's where the movie ends- with no decision.

My guess is that the original ending was Obama Influenced and had Preezy Mary Sue deciding not to retaliate, because Hell, man. We're the United States. We can take atomic missile hits all the do-dah day.

Our Netflix Betters thought that was a stupid, tone deaf ending and cut it.

Things never stay the same. We were all here for all those things and look how the country reacted. The Republican Party is almost done with its remake as a populist nationalist party and the Democrat Party is in the midst of its own civl war and the radicals are winning. They are loud and noisy but not that numerous with a relatively small ceiling.

Take a look at what is going on on college campuses across the country. All of these young people were also here for everything including Kirk's murder and they are overfilling arenas supporting our side. These aren't the college campuses of even a few years ago. These are smart, engaged, energetic young people who will help make up the new base of the party.

The left had a huge head start and has been dominating us for years but that doesn't mean they will forever. We are only just beginning to fight back but we are winning huge battles and they know it.

I'd go further.

Nobody for whom a majority of their income is from government sources should be allowed to vote. This includes, obviously, government employees and contractors for whom a majority of their income comes from government contracts. It could go even further and be classified as "anyone with a net-negative tax burden shall not vote," but that would be much harder to work out.

But if most of your income comes from the government, you're voting for a living and it represents insider dealing. It should not be permitted, at least not at the federal. The states and localities can make their own rules, but I'd support it at those levels, too.

The Shoprite by us has loads of Halloween candy. However, much of the national brand "Halloween" candy is not labeled as such, such as Kit Kat, Three Musketeers, Almond Joy, etc. They can be put back on the regular candy shelves the day after.

Of course I see the difference and it's not hindsight and I'm not missing the point. You are.

Far too many people get caught up in the idea that what happened in the past is a prelude to what will always happen in the future. They refuse to look at new information and new facts and make a judgement about how the future might be different.

If things never changed we would all still be living under a king as feudal slaves. But history does not show that at all. It shows that a group of bold people who fully understand the situation they are in and are willing to fight to make changes for a new future happen all the time. And that is exactly what happened in 2024 and is continuing to happen all around us every day.

The country and government today are fundamentally different than they were even a year ago and it continues to be reshaped. We are not doomed to live as we did if enough people fight back and we finally are. And we are winning.

439 I have missed and have no time to revisit past comments about bad childhoods.

Suffice it to say that, although mine was not PHYSICALLY abusive, I had a considerably EMOTIONALLY and PSYCHOLOGICALLY abusive childhood (both parents alcoholics, father abandoned the family when I and my brothers were five and younger, an extremely co-dependent relationship with my mother which eventually resulted in her suicide, and I could go on and on).

And yet ... I have been truly blessed and despite the carnage and wreckage of relationships, jobs, and opportunities ... achieved The American Dream (which I thought was dead before Trump revived it, at least temporarily for now).
