Bring Proper English Back To Public Discourse. And The Mayor Of Chicago Is A Retard
"Illegal Alien" is a legal term to describe someone who has entered this country illegally, or who has overstayed legal, temporary permission to enter the country. There is no racial connotation. There is no sex connotation. There is no class connotation. It is a neutral term that is a perfect descriptor!
But the left has always made one of the tenets of its malign philosophy the destruction of traditional, logical language. George Orwell wrote about it at length, and 80 years later his thoughts are fresh and prescient, in particular in Politics And The English Language, and 1984. Orwell would recognize the idiotic and incompetent mayor of Chicago as one of the foot soldiers in the left's battle against the English language! Chicago Mayor Spazzes Out Over 'Racist' Term 'Illegal Alien'Johnson called the term "racist" and sarcastically suggested that he should also call black people "slaves."
This is race-baiting on the most elemental level. Linking an objectively neutral term and activity to some nefarious race-based motivation is prime leftist doublespeak, and we on the right have been bombarded by it for many generations. Race...class... sex...religion...political philosophy...they are all fair game. Of course, calling people "fascists" is nothing new. The communists of the 1930s threw that term around just as cavalierly as their modern versions. But now they have expanded the manipulation of language to include everyone who is even modestly at odds with their political ideology. Fly an American flag? You're a fascist. Put on a coat and tie to go to church? You're a racist. Believe in the rule of law? You are a Nazi! Believe in the right of Jews to live in peace in their ancestral homeland? You are a racist colonizer. But these are not just pejoratives; they are part of a careful campaign to shift definitions of previously unacceptable behaviors to sound far more benign. "Illegal Alien" sounds bad, because it IS bad! "Undocumented Immigrant," or simply "Migrant," sounds like somebody who dropped their ID on the subway. That's not so bad! Let's be nice to him and pay for his $3,000 ER visits and SNAP benefits and cell phone and housing and maybe even give him a CDL so he can get a job and kill Americans on the roads! Take back the language! "Illegal Alien." "Criminal." "Rapist." "Pedophile." "Rioter." "Adult." "Assault Rifle." "Woman." "Man." These words have clear, precise meanings in our wonderful language. We cannot allow the left to blur those definitions, or we get nonsense like "Undocumented Newcomer," "Minor Attracted Person," "Gender Fluid," Mostly Peaceful," "Harm Reduction," "Our Precious Democracy," "Reproductive Freedom," and a host of other terms carefully chosen to blur reality with the ultimate goal of subverting traditional culture, law, religion, and rational social opprobrium. Simply using clear language to describe our many cultural, social, and political issues will go a long way towards solving them.

That's less of a political thing and more of an advertiser thing. There's a blacklist of words that will cause advertisers to bail on a video and "killed" and "murdered" are obviously included for most of them. That's why I think platforms like Substack and the post-Elon video capabilities of X are probably the future - you can pay creators directly and the Fortune 500 can't stop you.

I really don't think it's directed BY the advertisers, but that Yootoob won't allow advertising on the channels that violate their terms.
I don't fully understand how it happened, but the so-called "Adpocolypse" that happened a few years ago, I think it was more of a false flag operation, where Yootoob made these claims about channels that were mostly false, but it scared away a lot of big advertisers.
So now everyone walks on eggshells. It's stupid and pointless. For reasons I don't fully understand, it's basically made it so some channels don't really rely on Google's ad revenue, and the ones that do, they have to obey the speed limit.

I think the proper English term for that is "euphemism". They've been doing this for decades, of course. They got away with it for so long because they held all the levers of popular culture. The concept of "politically correct" was an attempt to mainstream the process of forcing language on people.
It wasn't terribly successful anywhere other than college campuses, and the term "politically correct" became problematic.
I think it's been much more successfully employed, by starting with the victim class in question, and then having language imposed on them by corporate media. It's a slyer version of the same thing.

"Assault rifle" is a term of art in discussing military weapons. An assault rifle uses a cartridge intermediate in size and power between a submachinegun and a regular battle rifle (e.g. Garand), and it also must have select-fire capability: one round per trigger pull, or full automatic, and also burst fire, 2-3 rounds per trigger pull. Civilian "evil black rifles" lack the select-fire capability.

In large part I think it boils down to laziness. Neither YouTube nor advertisers want to actually review videos for things they don't like, so YouTube has a number of automated systems that flag keywords or other content thought to be questionable.
This shows up a lot in music reaction videos. Even when the band and their management have publicly stated it's fine (as several younger metal bands have), YouTube will often tag and demonetize the video unless the creator reaches out to an official band rep and has them tell YouTube to fuck off. In some extreme cases the original artists themselves have gotten blocked for posting their own music because the automation is dumb.

Yup, very clean English. My wife (a transplant) and her church friends are all very good. My black kids speak very well. The boy also has accentless English - it's almost Flint, but he's a bit of a mumbler, which messes it up. The girl (younger) has some Appalachian accent though. Even though she's only lived here for four years, they're formative years, so it shows up. Not that it's bad, but it's there.

Did the "indigenous peoples" hold a title or recorded deed to the "stolen lands"? Was there an entity that recognized the holding? Or were they squatters?
For nearly all of human history, borders were defined by hard barriers (eg. Ocean) or conquest.
For the hard core that holds on to "stolen land", please explain Gazan's claim to the land given by the Creator God to Israel thousands of years ago - complete with survey and title deed.

Trying to figure out why the Democrats refuse to re-open the government and have lodged a list of demands that don't have a prayer of getting through the door, I came to the conclusion that they are leading up to something that they think they can use politically.
SNAP is now becoming delinquent. They wanted that. They want to create a division and escalate violence (looting, theft, burglary, assault etc.). Watch as they wind up their minions into a frenzy causing such and escalation in crime that it will be like nothing we have ever seen. They hope to accomplish 3 things.
1. Create the same tired mantra that Trump hates blacks and is a bigot. They see the stats as to who is disproportionally dependent on SNAP and they hope to use it to solidify their black male constituency again.
2. They will blame Trump for the escalation in crime and compare the statistics to other presidents regardless of the fact that they created the problem.
3. They will, then, after a time pass a continuing resolution and claim to have come to the rescue to this current derelict administration.

Strength is where you protect your own, and mind your own damn business.
If you haven't noticed, the last 20 plus years have seen this country's strength depleted, both in the destruction of the men who would defend it, and in its wealth being expended. For nothing.

Almost everyone remembers exactly where they were on 9/11. It was an horrific attack that galvanized the country if even briefly.
Illegal drugs and gangs have killed and ruined the lives of tens of millions more Americans than what happened on 9/11 and it happens in big cities and small towns all across American on a daily basis but for some reason a lot of people don't see it. The cartels and government leaders who harbor them are soldiers without uniforms. They are terrorists just like the assholes who flew planes into buildings.
They deserve a terrorist's fate.

I believe it is different though. Liberals, the left, Progressives all have a vision of the world that if they can change a base element, the rest of the society will change as well. The foundation sets how the building stands, the founding sets the direction of the movement. By ending that pipeline of cheap drugs there is a thought that all the junkies in the street will get clean.
