If the bubble bursts abruptly, the most highly leveraged of those companies - and their lenders - are going to be in a world of pain.
WHEN it happens. Just another panic waiting to happen. Seems very few people with money study what has happened in the past. Posted by: clarence at October 25, 2025 04:25 AM (Z2R71) 6
The skeeter article is written so weirdly. Midway, the author starts salting in references to increasing heat and climate change: as the planet heats up, as climate change accelerates, rising temperatures, the impacts of climate change, record-breaking heat, more likely by climate change. Panic-panic-panic it's exhausting! And then she starts backing out and putting on the brakes. Hahahahahaha whatta buncha trash.

I have been reflecting of the panics and gold/silver and fiat currencies.
Clearly, it seems to me, the problem isn't that there is not enough gold and silver to act as money. But when there is a panic, Gresham's Law applies. (Bad money chases good money out of circulation) . The Central Banks (and the Rothchilds) have been hoarding gold for ages. Panics put the squeeze on the little people. Moderate is 350 degrees F.
Thats usually a good starting point. But its important to remember that those old oven descriptors never really mapped to a specific temperature. In the first edition of Irma S. Rombauers The Joy of Cooking (also from 1931) she included both the descriptor and a suggested temperature. I happened to notice these on three subsequent pages: Slow oven: 350° (twice) and 325° Moderate oven: 375°, 350° (twice), and 325° Hot oven: 375° Posted by: Stephen Price Blair at October 25, 2025 05:51 AM (EXyHK) Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at October 25, 2025 05:51 AM (O7YUW) Posted by: fluffy at October 25, 2025 05:54 AM (AN2gy) Posted by: FenelonSpoke at October 25, 2025 05:54 AM (7RYym) 42

Sorry. I have a problem with text messages. Sometimes people receive them and sometimes they don't.
Ive noticed that this happens most often when I travel. I suspect that modern text messaging systems (which use the Internet to translate between phone systems and texting before defaulting to old-school texting) sometimes lose track of where you are. I will leave my dads house and suddenly get a days worth of texts. I suspect this is because my phone just switched to a new tower and announced where it is. This mismatch also can sometimes keep my messages from going out; when I notice this happening, I can sometimes fix it by (a) turning off cell service and only using wifi or (b) turning off wifi and only using cell service. Texting is an amazing combination of very old technology and relatively new technology. Posted by: Stephen Price Blair at October 25, 2025 05:55 AM (EXyHK) 44

Could be you’re losing connection to the cell tower, get no service, and your texts don’t go through as a result. If that happens you’ll get a load of texts all at once when service reconnects. Posted by: SpeakingOf at October 25, 2025 06:00 AM (6ydKt) 49

The oven dial temperature indicator should be calibrated once in a while. If you pull it off the post you’ll see a set screw on the backside, use an accurate thermometer after warming up thoroughly and adjust. That way when the oven is set to 350 it will actually be 350 or near enough.

Her ‘caretaker’ wasn’t there but saw the fake crew on a security camera cam feed and called Norton to tell them they weren’t supposed to be there. Velveeta wasn’t around until the 1940s or 1950s. I actually like it in an omelet. It has that authentic trailer trash cuisine flavor, real comfort food. When I make Mac and Cheese first make a roux with butter and flour, or even bacon grease and a rich milk gravy. Fold in some Tillamook or good cheddar or parmesan or whatever you prefer. A leetle bit of Velveeta smooths it out too. Just keep it under the sink or somewhere your hipster friends won’t see it and think less of you.

I get that with text messages sometimes, most often when I am out west, deep in the Driftless Area ... lots of ridgelines, lots of valleys, easy to go from good signal to no signal in a minute or two, and back again. sometimes a message seems to fall into limbo for a bit. always showing the time I hit send, not the time it actually arrives.
another theory is that maybe sometimes the network is near peak capacity and prioritizing certain traffic over mine; I see this mostly with MMS messages, not SMS; a picture might take 10 or 20 minutes to send, even if I am stationary with plenty of bars. these are not mutually exclusive, either. Dairy states in particular were protective of their products. It was unlawful to sell colored Margarine in many states. So they would include a dye packet with it mix after purchase. Teams tracking could be helpful both in the context of fraudulent employees pretending to be in America but actually in Africa and more importantly to supervise. I work from home and lead a team of all WFH. Had a team member slacking off, was very hard to prove until one day he decided not to log in at all and then insisted the next day he had in fact worked. That was his last day. It feels a little gross trying to track someone's time using event logs but alas it's part of the job. You might say was his work being done but he was a talented enough individual to hide the slide for a couple of months.

(Translation: it can tell the difference between one person and another) My favorite part: Not to be used for AirBnB or rentals. Dodgers versus Canadians. Would you prefer hemlock or strychnine? Yeah, if Toronto wins, the usual suspects will bash the United States and claim that it's a major defeat for Trump and, hey!, free healthcare. But I've always liked George Springer. I am fine with the Toronto Blue Jays winning the World Series. Canada can enjoy one last strut across the world's sporting stage before it crumbles into a madcap scramble of its provinces seeking safe harbour as it falls apart. Posted by: BifBewalski - at October 25, 2025 *** During the WFHome portion of the early Sniffle Scare, fortunately, nobody checked on me. I settled at the laptop at 8 am, dealt with emails, phone messages, and other matters, posted on AoSHQ. Often I went to the grocery around ten am. Checked on my email around 11:30, napped from 12:30 to 2:00. Then I handled the rest of the things that had come up between then and 4:30, my usual quitting time in the office. Done. The only thing this did for me (aside from the naps) was make me realize how much I hated my commute. When the possibility of retirement peeped over the horizon, I was more than ready to wave it over and make friends with it. Posted by: Unknown Drip Under Pressure That's why i got a 2nd one. I plugged that one into an arduino that moves it in a jiggle at about two seconds inside of the 'away' timer. I really do have to sit and stare at some of the crap they assign me to for hoirs, and it breaks my concentration when i cannot devote my full attention to it. Of course, it can also be abused horrendously, as evidenced by my nap example. The director i work for knows i resolve some pretty complex shit for him, and he lets me have free rein to work in the manner the fits me. I got dragged in to a ten year strategy sessi9n at my big MIC blood suck___ company last week. Presented a mission analysis that made their problem go away. Two vp, 8 directors, and 3 business developers were left staring at me dumbfounded as to why something so obvious was missed by all of them. Easy job, but requires a shit ton of critical thinking with no interruptions. Saints Crispin and Crispinian are the Christian patron saints of cobblers, curriers, tanners, glove makers, lace makers, lace workers, leather workers, saddle makers, saddlers, shoemakers, tanners, and weavers. They were beheaded during the reign of Diocletian; the date of their execution is given as 25 October 285 or 286. Bif,
Yeah, I'm not so up there in the management stack but I can make huge progress in problem solving when I get into my "little space". It means I am totally focused on things inside my head and any interruption, even a conversation in the next cube blows it. Seeing my log in time out just sets me off. I wrote a little script that moved my mouse randomly at random times just to keep that from happening years ago. I just retired. A LOT of people abuse the system where I worked and management doesn't really care because they are a bunch of fuck-offs too. The only people that cared were old school managers that believed in teamwork and knew what it meant, knew how to use it and acted like leaders. They are mostly gone now, all of them disgusted by the state of affairs. The only thing that keeps us and probably the country afloat is that our competition and enemies are worse fuck ups than us.
