[Meme: H/T - Frankie]
[Music: H/T Hadrian]

*****

Good morning boys and girls and everything in between. Before we enter the Prayer Revival just a few housekeeping matters to go over. (Rulz for those of you in Clarksville)

1) This is an open thread. Feel free to lurk, opine and/or bloviate.
2) Be kind, be nice.
3) No. You may not run with sharp objects. I believe your Mother's note is a forgery.
4) Have a great weekend!

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:

9/11 – D sent an update for Susan, his wife, and her battle with cancer: Thank you, everyone, again for your prayers for Susan. Her cancer markers went down at the last Dr visit, but she is back to having abdominal pain that is making it hard to eat right. They are trying to get her weight up and thank God for the good days they do have. The really good news is that she is able to walk around again without the fear of falling over.
9/23 Update – The pain has started coming back, so they went to the hospital and found a cyst. They are trying to determine if it is infected.
10/16 Update – Susan was hospitalized for 3 weeks. They removed the cyst and her gallbladder. The chemo continues; it’s rough so far, but the cancer only grown 1 mm, so it seems to be working. Thank you to everyone for their prayers.

9/22 – C requested prayers for a friend whose mother passed away after years of dealing with dementia.
10/4 Update – The friend and his siblings are gathering at the family home today and the service will be in the next few days. The finality will probably hit him at that point.

9/27 – Tonypete gave an update on the people from his church who were in an automobile accident earlier this year. Cheri is doing much better. While convalescing from the car crash, she fell and broke her hip, so she is recovering from that also. One of the passengers, Nick, had a heart episode during the wreck and died. He was his wife’s caregiver and she is now bereft. Prayers are still needed for all.

9/28 - Teresa in Fort Worth gave an update: It has been 1 year since Teresa started “down the cancer rabbit hole”. She sends her thanks for the prayers as they have buoyed her and her family through this year. She has been blessed to exceed the original 6-12 months predicted, by the grace of God – and the prayers of many people. Her next CT scan is in November, and the surgeon is pretty sure that her tumors will be small enough to remove/destroy.
10/7 Update – A recent CT scan shows lots of calcification (indicating tumor cell death), and the oncologist didn’t see any sign on the small tumors. The area where the largest tumor was now shows lots of calcification and the largest tumor has shrunk by almost 90%! Her next CT scan will be 11/3, and they assume they will be discussing surgery to remove the lobe of her liver, where the tumor is located. Timelines are uncertain, but she is hopeful that she will get to spend Christmas with her family at least one more time, if not more! Thanks to EVERYONE who has been praying on her behalf.

9/29 – toby928 asked for prayers for a brother named Joe, who is being crushed by grief. Joe’s wife is in a coma and will likely die in the next few days.
10/12 Update - – Joe’s wife did pass away. She is safe in the arms of our Savior.
10/18 Update – Joe could still use prayers. Losing both parents and his wife in one year has hit him hard.

10/1 – Duke Lowell sent an update. He is home now, after 8 days in the hospital and every antibiotic known to man. He sent thanks for the prayers, and thanks to God for granting him another day in this glorious world He’s created.
10/11 Update – After a second stint in the hospital, Duke is home now. He was recovering nicely, but something “knocked him sideways”. Severe dehydration put him into renal failure. He is on the mend now.

10/2 – Bluebell passed along an update: grammie winger sends her gratitude for all the prayers – she feels they are working. On Oct 6 she will be starting a cancer treatment program because her doctors are “cautiously optimistic” that they can give her some more time. Monday she gets the port, followed by 6 hours of chemo infusion on Tuesday. The Rev is doing better because now he has some hope. Please pray for her as she starts this treatment program because in her words, “prayer changes things”.
10/18 Update – grammie winger sent an update, that she has had her first chemo treatment. There were no side effects. She noted “God is very kind.”

10/4 – Legally Sufficient’s “Boss” will be undergoing intestinal surgery shortly. It looks scary so prayers for him and his medical team are appreciated.

10/4 – The Fabulous for safe travels as she travels to visit her oldest daughter who is about to be a mother of a baby girl. Prayers for the mom to be and her child.

10/4 – Skip requested prayers for his dad, who fell at church back in August, hitting his head. He fell again at home and has had back pain since then. He is going in for more tests on 10/8.
10/11 Update – Dad has a brace to wear and has pain medication, so is doing OK for now. He will need an outpatient procedure soon for an injection in his spine to fill a void. Continuing prayers will help.
10/18 Update – Dad is in the hospital, needing some blood clots cleared up, and will soon have the outpatient operation for his back.

10/4 – Our Country is Screwed sent thanks for the prayers over the past year, during breast cancer treatments. The prayers have sustained, through surgery, chemo, and now through radiation.

10/4 – Random Dave would appreciate prayers from the Horde. He is one of the 5% of government workers that make the other 95% look bad, and he is trying to move to the private sector. He has found a good possibility to meet/exceed his pay and do an interesting job that is a good fit for his skills and interests. Praying that if it’s where God wants him, He will make it clear and the road smooth.

10/4 – DenverGregg asked for prayers for Ana, a lady from his church who is experiencing unemployment and mental illness, which tend to exacerbate each other.

10/4 – Longtime Lurker, Morgan, offers praise for financial blessings and petitions for safety in upcoming travel and coping with social isolation and loneliness, including finding a church home. Blessings upon Ace, the COBs, the other site workers and all the blog lurkers and participants.

10/4 – Mrs. Leggy asked for prayers for a young girl who is suffering from leukemia and now has a horrible infection of the colon. Surgery may be required and because of her weakened condition, this could kill her. Thanks so very much!

10/6 – Inogame sent happy news about his wife and baby. The 20 week ultrasound was completed, and there is one baby girl with all the correct parts in the correct places. Mom and baby are doing well, though mom could use a nap or 20.

10/7 -CW is a long-time Horde member who could use prayers. His relationships with his son and his daughter have deteriorated recently, and his daughter has cut him off from the grandchildren.

10/8 – fourseasons asked for prayers for a brother-in-law, Chris, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had another scan last weekend and there is another tumor. He is losing his vision and has lost his ability to speak. He will have surgery on 10/10, and the surgeon said he will probably lose the ability to walk. The family is devastated. Chris is a wonderful man and has always been healthy.
10/11 Update – Chris is recovering from surgery to remove his brain tumors now. He was talking last night, which he wasn’t able to do before surgery. They are hoping for a full recovery.

10/11 – NuclearJim requests prayers for spiritual strength to defeat prostate cancer.

10/11 – the lower depths asked for prayers for his/her mother Gail and her eyes (macular degeneration) and knees (bone on bone) failing.

10/11 – FenelonSpoke asked for prayers for her son. He needs a job and has been diligently looking for one. His degree is in botany.

10/11 – tbodie Lurker requested continued prayers for a son with pancreatic cancer. He has been through 3 months of chemo that significantly shrank the cancer. This week he had surgery to remove the remaining cancer. They also removed his spleen. So far things look good. Thank you.

10/11 – Brother Tim asked for prayers as he has two more sessions of radiation. Prayer works and God heals.
10/18 Update – Radiation is done and now Brother Tim is recovering from the effects and praying for a clean PET scan.

10/11 – Ben Had asked for prayers for a very special man we know as olddog. May his medical issues be benign and full health restored.

10/13 – K requested prayers for a co-worker (Grant). Grant and his wife are expecting their first child, and they are experiencing some complications. K would appreciate prayers for peace and a healthy baby for Grant, his wife, and their unborn child.

10/15 – Bulg asked for prayers for an elderly neighbor, who used to babysit for them, is undergoing chemo for colon cancer.

10/16 – jrgunn5 asked for prayers for a son who is going through a very trying time. The son is almost finished with his teaching credentials and Master’s program. He sees other students being offered positions that he is more qualified for, yet he is ignored by the schools where he is working. He is becoming angry and despairing of gaining a position to pay off the enormous debt he has taken on to pursue this career. He needs to hear God’s voice, and a door opening soon would be appreciated.
10/18 – rhennigantx asked for prayers for his friend John. John was a functioning alcoholic while working, and then retired about 2 years ago, and is now in rehab. Prayers are also needed for Toni. She had to have a kidney stone crushed and says she will never do surgery again.

10/18 – From about That Time can use prayers, as a biopsy revealed some sort of lymphoma.

10/18 – J.J. Sefton wrote:
First of all I cannot even begin to express my appreciation for all the love, good wishes, support and of course prayers for me over this past year. On a positive note, I am essentially cancer free but glioblastoma being what it is means having an MRI done every 2 months to monitor for any new growth.
Right now, I humbly ask for your prayers for my spouse who was recently diagnosed with NPH, (normal pressure hydrocephalus) She's scheduled for a spinal tap to both drain excess fluid to relieve pain and hopefully restore her ability to walk and engage in routine physical activity. Then an MRI will also help them decide if she needs a shunt to be inserted into the brain to drain excess cerebral/spinal fluid away and into her stomach. I'm guessing she'll likely need it, fingers crossed that we can speed up this process and get her back to 100% ASAP.
God bless you, Prayers from me to all of you who are suffering,

10/21 – TecumsehTea wrote with prayers of praise that she has recovered from her heart attack. Areas of concern, though, are that they cannot keep her blood pressure stable and in a desirable range. This has brought several additional trips to the ER to bring it down and for observation. She is asking for wisdom and guidance for the doctor, and patience and peace for herself. She says this has been a scary ride, but God continues to show His faithfulness.

10/21 – Grateful wrote to ask for prayers for Pillage Idiot, that God would guide him in his search for employment – resulting in an opportunity that makes the best use of his unique skills. And that PI be blessed with acceptance of their love and caring for him, as he does for everyone else.

10/22 – Pennsyltucky requested prayers for his dad, who underwent cancer surgery on 10/21. Everything seems to have gone well (they’re confident they got it all!) but due to his age, his hospital stay and convalescence will be longer than usual. Dad is doing well, is awake and alert. A full recovery is anticipated but it will take a while. Thank you so much.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an update.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen".

21 I am having a wonderful day. I replaced the silent valve on a toilet. I bought a Kohler many years ago and had some trouble in the first month. I called Customer Service and the lady told me how to clean it. I cleaned it and it has worked great since. A few days later, I receive a new one in the mail. Free.

I put it away. Many years later, this past few weeks, an even old Kohler started "running". I got the water bill yesterday, so now I am motivated to replace the valve.

Really very easy. Shut off the supply line. Drain the tank. Remove the old one. Put in the new one. Turn on the supply line.

Voila!

My parents bought a combo grinder, coffee maker w/timer. It was a neat idea, but overall didn’t work too well, the grind was way too coarse. It had a hopper to put the beans in. Set the alarm for 5:30 or whatever, and away it went on time on target.

Holy smokes, though when the grinder spooled up it sounded like an air raid siren. Scared the crap out of me.

27 Blessings and peace to all Hordians. For once I'm up at a time and I can leave you all a message on the prayer thread. For anyone who is suffering from a solid tumor cancer of any type, I strongly suggest that you look at Joe Tippens' protocol with fenbendazole, which has no side effects and you can get it from the pet store. Yes, it's an anthelmentic, and it has three mechanisms of action against cancer.

You may have seen that Merck, which makes fenbendazole for animals, is making a similar drug (that they can patent), called mebendazole, but that only has two of the three mechanisms of action. They are combining that with a second drug and selling it to humans. Fenbendazole has had amazing effectiveness even in stage 4 cancers. Tippens wrote his personal story in a blog called my cancer story rocks, and you can find it online.

28 CO Gray wolf update #1

US Fish & Wildlife has informed CO Parks & Wildlife that they are not allowed to transport gray wolves into CO from outside the US Northern Rocky Mountain states (MT, ID, WY, UT). CPW says it has already signed a contract with British Columbia with the intent of importing another dozen or so wolves from Canada this winter. I suspect this will not go to court, and USF&W will back down because CO is a sanctuary state and as Goov. Polis might have said, "we wuv those fuzzy wuzzy little furriners! They're just sooooo CUTE!"

32 Chuck grew up in Ohio or Kentucky, no? He wasn’t Californian. Buggered as a youth in various jails he soon learned to return the favor.

Somewhere along the way he learned quite a few of the standard cult conditioning techniques, he was a skilled manipulator and con artist. He and his “followers” had a get out of jail free card, as he was part of an NIH “communal living” study.

Ordinarily in 1968 those on federal parole, running drugs, teenage prostitution rings, car theft rings, hanging around other felons, credit card fraud, etc etc, will get parole yanked very quickly. Not Chuck though, he was “special”. All of this was covered up at the time of course.

37 If you research fembendazole, you will find a lot of dire warnings about how it hasn't been tried in humans and there is no clinical evidence and so forth. I actually work in Big Pharma and the way that it works is that no pharmaceutical company will do clinical trials on a generic off-patent drug like fenben. There's no money in it and clinical trials are insanely expensive ... and also they do not want competitor drugs that will knock out their own business with chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

And then they publish press releases and so forth saying that this competitor drug has not been approved for use in humans. Well of course it hasn't.

So Joe Tippens, who first brought this to widespread attention, had stage four lung cancer and decided what the heck, he would do it and he took it along with standard cancer drugs and had no ill effects from it. So it's one of those "try this at your own risk" deals. I take it prophylactically myself from time to time, with no ill effects. Some independent research has been done but there's no funding for widespread studies for obvious reasons. Cancer is a huge business for Pharma.

41 CO gray wolf update #2

Gray wolves reintroduced into CO since 2023 continue to expand their overall territorial extent, now being tracked into watersheds that border WY, UT, and NM. From the original release areas in the north central CO Rockies wolves have been GPS tracked into the upper Rio Grande drainage (into the San Luis Valley near Alamosa) and westward into portions of the Gunnison River drainage (Montrose and Mesa Counties). So far Boulder has not been visited. CPW targets an eventual wolf population of between 150 and 200 wolves. Beyond that they will probably start letting CO residents shoot them because cute and fuzzy predators are only cute and fuzzy to a point.

47 I don’t always read the sidebar items…

That statement by the New Mexican senator has a little gem at the end though

"Do we want our political governing class to be like the classmates I had at Yale Law School, some of them who dreamed of being president of the United States from the age of twelve?" He continued, "Or do we want normal people also having a chance at these offices?"

This is the perfect description of JD Vance
He truly grew up on at least the edge of poverty, certainly lower middle class at best, and in a town that most locals think of as Loserville.
That is the description of someone who would truly understand what the man on the street is concerned about

We need to keep that quote handy as an endorsement from the Democratic Party in the future

48 I have been buying a comic series called "The Remnant" since it first came out. Classic superhero comic with a twist that the heroes are the ones left behind after The Rapture and are fighting the Antichrist and his followers.

Just received the latest issue and he included a prayer journal. Basically, it outlines why we pray, what we should pray for and to keep track of what we are grateful about. Nice little add on.

(Disclaimer: Yes, I am aware that The Rapture is a controversial topic. I'm not sure I believe in it. Keep the flames about the topic away because I'm just talking about something nice that an artist did.)

Why is the Trump administration showing favoritism towards Argentina? Is it because they are setting up their escape plan?

Thank you for your prayers that my wife find the strength to deal with her Aunt's sudden death and her Father's battle with cancer - it was brief and relatively painless, not the nightmare we expected from such an aggressive form of cancer. Thank you for your prayers.

Dispensationalism's rise is an excellent example of how Christians can move popular culture when they have a mind to do so. It's a fair young belief, was outside all of Mainline Protestantism (and beneath the notice of orthodoxy), but thanks to entrepreneurial preachers and the Left Behind book series (not to mention bumper stickers stating in the event of the Rapture the car will be empty), it probably has more popular understanding than far older Christian concepts.

The lesson is to repudiate the old "be not of this world" mentality and "nice" Christianity and instead carry it with you everywhere to the point that it becomes accepted and normalized. Bless people, reference scripture when appropriate and don't by shy about displaying Christian symbols.

And be sure to wish everyone Merry Christmas when the time comes.

In the real world, actual Reds had zero problems turning their coats and joining the Fascists when it was convenient to do so. Molotiv-von Ribbentrop was not an aberration but a logical development of closely related ideologies.

In fact, Nazism and Stalinism were kissing cousins, particular as latter emphasized "socialism in one country" and national pride at the expense of international solidarity among the working class.

98 Some interesting doings in Blighty this week. As some may know, the Church of England has confirmed its desire to be disestablished and consigned to the dust bin of history by nominating a pro-gay woman to be the next Archbishop of Canterbury. The head of the Church of England is Wales is a lesbian, and it is now accepted doctrine to perform blasphemous marriages between people of the same sex.

Within days of that announcement, the Global Anglican Communion issue a communique stating that the See of Canterbury had been excommunicated. Communion had been suspended previously, but GAFCON has had enough, and all bonds between the C of E and the rest of Anglicanism have been declared severed. All provinces wishing to remain in communion must alter their charters to formally break from Lambeth and the authority of Canterbury. A new leadership will be elected from the bishops on the principle of Primus Inter Pares, and the ancient doctrine will be confirmed. But wait, there's more! (con't)

I always wear my Cross of the Dominican Order when I go out in public. For those unfamiliar, it is white and black (the colors of the Order of Preachers) with fleurettes on the ends.

People will frequently comment on it: I explain that it is the cross of St. Dominic, and that I am a lay brother in a Catholic religious order. Sometimes this will spark a deeper conversation.

116 Meanwhile, King Charles III became the first English monarch in 500 years to attend a Mass in Rome. He was accompanied by the Archbishop of York, who is the ranking prelate in the Church of England as the new Archbishop of Canterbury has not yet been formally installed so the see is considered sede vacante.

A host of Catholic English clergy were also present, including the Archbishop of Westminster.

Honorific titles were exchanged as well, another break from prior precedent. One cannot wonder of Charles has decided that the C of E is beyond salvation (so to speak) and is preparing to disestablish it, allowing monarchs the freedom to return to Rome. It is noteworthy that the late Duchess of Kent (married to one of Queen Elizabeth II's cousins) converted to Catholicism and her funeral Mass was attended by the Royal Family, another break from 500 years of shunning the Church.

130 Hey there, music lovers, it’s time for a somber countdown in the world of Casey Kasem. After the legendary voice of American Top 40 left us in 2014, his family hit some sour notes, locked in a bitter feud over his care, estate, and final resting place. Casey’s kids from his first marriage—Kerri, Julie, and Michael—clashed with his wife, Jean, accusing her of elder abuse and neglect, while Jean fired back, claiming the kids were after Casey’s $80 million fortune. Lawsuits flew, with wrongful death claims and battles over Casey’s burial in Norway instead of L.A. By 2019, they reached a settlement, quieting the legal storm, but the emotional discord lingers, especially over bringing Casey’s remains home. A tough chapter for a man who brought us so many chart-topping memories—let’s keep the music playing and the love alive.

135 Some interesting doings in Blighty this week.

Communion had been suspended previously, but GAFCON has had enough, and all bonds between the C of E and the rest of Anglicanism have been declared severed....
Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at October 25, 2025 09:19 AM (ZOv7s)

Departing from the Apostolic Traditions to please pagans, heretics, and lesbian priestesses causes dissension within the Church. Who'd a thunk it?

A good test of the presence or absence of the Holy Spirit is seen in the fruits of some activity. Disunity occurs? Yep, that's the work of Stan.

Neighbors' trees are starting to turn red. I can enjoy those because I don't have to rake those leaves.

On the topic of Labour and Wales, it’s amusing to note that there was a bye-election there this week, for a seat which had been solidly Labour for a century. Results: Plaid Cymru (Welsh Nationalists) 47%, Reform 37%, Labour 11%.

With the Government in such disrepute it’s no surprise that the Welsh Nationalists surged. Reform had a very strong second coming from nowhere. Labour is dead, and I don’t think the Tory’s even fielded a candidate.
So that’s the state of English politics today. They’ve got a government which theoretically can hang on to power til 2029, but which is the most despised government ever.

195 So, I’m confused. Is Charles a Muzzie or a Catholic?
Posted by: Bulg at October 25, 2025 09:55 AM (77rzZ)
---
Modern monarchs do not have personal opinions. They read what they are handed. Sometimes conversations are leaked, or the mask skips (most notoriously with Prince Philip), but when you see Charles going on about the beauty of Islam, he's reading the script he was handed.

This carries over into Royal Assent, which is automatic. Some years ago, the King of Belgium (a Catholic) was handed a bill liberalizing abortion. He refused to sign it, but constitutionally, he was obligated to. He had no discretion.

So he abdicated, which almost created a crisis, but with the throne vacant, the law took effect and then he was persuaded to pick up the scepter, which he did.

And now it's even deader.

There is not Apostolic Tradition of women priests. If it causes disunity, an action is not the work of the Holy Spirit. We're seeing the folly of female priests in its final culmination. Didn't one of the lesbian priestesses have a church intentionally desecrated with graffiti somewhere in the UK within the last couple of weeks?

Men and women have different charisms within the Catholic Church. Interestingly, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is promoting religious vocations for young women and seeing a positive response.

A lot of European natives will go hardcore Catholic over the next few decades, I'm thinking. Even in England where the COE is basically a leftist institution now.

The way I see it, to confront Islam taking over they're going to need a large, established orgainzation to rally around and the Vatican is all there is that could start a new 'Crusade' or 'Reconquista'.

Evangelical and Reform churches are too varied and disorganized to put up much resistance. Catholics may be the only game in town besides right-wing militias.

The Orthodox Church in the US is really small, and my understanding is that they have a lot of the same problems that Catholics did 50 years ago where cultural ties held together a lot of the churches and those are fading.

So while they are getting young people interested in the antiquity of the faith, the older generation is passing and their kids don't have the same tie to the nationalist-centered church. This is probably the biggest problem facing modern Eastern Orthodoxy.

Ukraine has put this to the test, and it's not going well, with anathemas flying back and forth. There's also the problem that various patriarchies are stuck in dysfunctional states: Antioch, Alexandria, Moscow and Constantinople are all prone to political pressure. Indeed, with the seminaries closed in Turkey, Bartholomew may be the last Ecumenical Patriarch, which is why I think there is renewed energy in healing the Great Schism. Catholics look at Francis and say "We need clear limits on papal power" and the Orthodox think: "a referee would be helpful."

261 What’s fascinating in recent English polling is that the working class, no matter whether they were previously Labour or Conservative (Tory), have turned massively towards Reform, primarily due to immigration and energy costs. Labour has become the party of government workers and Muslims only, and Conservatives are left with the Euro wannabes..

The same scenario is playing out across Western Europe, France and Germany especially.

The only way they can stop it is to 'cordon sanitaire' the right-wing parties that promise to do something about the insanity by refusing to form coalitions with them.

The most astounding thing is that they don’t see the logical conclusion of this policy. If the ruling classes “cordon sanitaire” their politics to the point that more than 50% are fenced out, then the majority has an extremely obvious way of taking over. And it does not involve elections.

When the Brits voted to go in it was still the EEC (European Economic Community), and they did for economic reasons to get tariff-free access to the common market.

Thatcher warned what was coming in the 80s but the establishment kept on going no matter what.

When the Brits finally got to vote on the matter, they said "Toodles!" and they still can't get completely out seven years later due to the same establishment fighting kicking and screaming on the way out the door.

You're right though, they should've never gone in.
Thankfully they never gave up pound sterling for the Euro or they'd be in an even bigger bind.

Is it 'memory' or Hard Drive/SSD space you're running out of?

If it's memory (RAM) you can start by closing programs you aren't using while browsing the web, and go into your "Start Up" programs in Windows settings and turn off anything you don't need to start when you turn on the laptop.

If it's disc space then you'll have to go in and delete files you don't need.

There may be a lot of backups in your Windows restore function that you can delete. You only really need the last one or two backups if you aren't having problems.

Try -
"The most straightforward method is using the built-in Disk Cleanup tool. Open Disk Cleanup by searching for it in the Start menu, then click "Clean up system files". Check the box for "Windows Update Cleanup" and optionally "Delivery Optimization Files". Click "OK" and confirm the deletion. This method is recommended and safe."

Ah, so my work here for the day is done.

Off to help my 93-year-old M-I-L work on her jigsaw puzzle. She does okay unless her tremors are acting up. Usually more than a couple pieces hit the floor.

🙂

328 Local village is having a Hallween celebration called Pumpkin lane. Last year they estimated the crowd at 30k. Taking 4 of the grandkids. Mrs. Sock asked me if I was going as the grumpy old man.

329 I had a family thing a week before the MoMe. One of my cousin's kids showed up in a dress. What a horror, especially since he looks like Svengoolie. Kid was normal, republican, and smart. Went to college and bam...destroyed.

Don’t see much of that in ETEX, mostly women dressed as men.

330 Did you delete the Windows.old folder? You really don't need that unless you decide to roll back to Win10.

The very fact that such a thing exists is reason enough to shitcan Windows in favor of Linux. Linus has some issues, too, but at least you don't have to pay hundreds of dollars for it. I turn off automatic updates, too. Some times an update can cause you to lose functionality for no good reason at all. If you need a certain update for security, or to fix a known problem, you can find out in forums, or even in discussions here, and apply such updates individually.

332 The worst part about getting older (I'm not 29 anymore over here, boss) is that the added entries to my Prayer List over the years has exceeded my capacity to remember those I've committed to praying for.

I know that y'all and The Ones The Matter will forgive me ... seriously. God Bless!

333 Been working at a university these last bunch of weeks. Quite mixed in with the students as their cafeteria is in the building and as we finishing the top floors they moved in while we were in the basement floor. My point is never saw any obvious Trannies

334 Some college kid at Vanderbilt just made a 33 yard field goal in a kicking contest on ESPN’s college gameday show and won a $500,000 prize…. Amazing. It would’ve been good from 50 yards. College football can be fun

Considering that neither the late, unlamented Francis nor the incumbent Leo has had much to say about Christians getting slaughtered by Musloids in Africa,

It’s the Tucker Carlson method. Run to the Fainting couch if a Christian is slightly inconvenienced by Israel but ignore an actual genocide of Christians in the Arab world.

338 That would require some cardinals with same outlook to do the electing, wouldn't it?

Posted by: Dr. Claw at October 25, 2025 11:09 AM (fd80v)

Yup.
They'll have to get rid of some old, lefty, cardinals and replace them with some younger conservative bishops from Asia and Africa where most of the growth in the church is these days.

339 Okay, I NEVER read the Prayer List in this weekly thread as it is far too emotionally painful (my Wifey and I are approaching 65, have had NO HEALTH INSURANCE -- and refuse to participate in nor pay any Benedict Roberts "tax" -- since the DogEater destroyed the greatest healthcare and health insurance system in the world) as I've been experiencing some serous Survivor's Guilt of late.

Anywho (JJ and I being the KIngs of run-on sentances) -- this cut me to the quick from above:

"10/18 – J.J. Sefton wrote:"

Ugh, have now added JJ's better half to my Prayer List. I hope we all meet some day (hey, I got to meet your buddy CBD last weekend) ... who's up for a Wisconsin MoMe?

340 I would be actually for no foreigners allowed as representatives. One never knows what their loyalty is at. Many now seem to represent Foreigners not US citizens

341 The younger Catholic priests tend to be more conservative (based) so it's just a matter of time, hopefully.
