Jim Jordan Refers John Brennan to the DOJ for Prosecution Over His Serial Perjuries

"Though the mills of God grind slowly, yet they grind exceedingly fine".

Jordan's referral, sent to Attorney General Pam Bondi, alleges that Brennan "knowingly and willfully testified falsely" during a May 2023 interview with the Judiciary Committee when he claimed the CIA "was not involved at all" with the Steele dossier -- a Democrat-funded collection of false stories used to smear Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign. But a newly declassified House Intelligence Committee report contradicts that testimony, revealing the CIA worked directly with the FBI to circulate information from the dossier and that Brennan personally intervened to keep it in the intelligence community's 2017 assessment on Russian election interference.

That assessment, produced under Brennan's direction, claimed Russia sought to help Trump win -- a conclusion Trump has long dismissed as part of the "Russia hoax." According to declassified CIA memos cited by Jordan, agency analysts warned against including the dossier's unverified material. Brennan, however, insisted it remain, reportedly responding, "Yes, but doesn't it ring true?"

These fictions compiled by Hillary Clinton's Master of Conspiracies Sydney Blumenthal, and then given a Credibility Laundering through Christopher Steele -- do they ring true to the other demented partisans in this room?

Jordan's letter says that Brennan's testimony "was a brazen attempt to mislead Congress" and that the former CIA chief "intentionally distorted material facts" surrounding his actions.

...

Jordan also cited Brennan's 2017 testimony before the House Intelligence Committee -- when he insisted the CIA did not "rely on" the dossier -- as further evidence of a pattern of deception. Though that earlier statement falls outside the five-year statute of limitations, Jordan said Brennan's statements showed "a pattern of willingness to lie to Congress about the Steele dossier."

Posted by: Boss Moss at October 21, 2025

The only way to tell is to run a tank or two of your E15, then a tank or two of the E0, over the same kind of driving. See if the increased price pays for itself in enough gas mileage improvement. I suspect it might well do better than E15 -- that's even more ethanol than the E10 I have here. But if the E0 gas costs 15% more, and you get only 10% improved mileage, it doesn't compute.

I do it anyway because I think it's better for the car's digestion. But I'm probably imagining things.

122 80 I don't know my Ees. What is summer blend?
Posted by: Boss Moss
=========
If you live in a non attainment area cited by the EPA (most urban areas do), then you have a special blend of summer fuel with oxygenate added (ethanol). Post OBD-II cars, made after 1996 don't need the oxygenate because their computers and those after it are perfectly fine with adjusting engine settings to avoid excessive emissions. Pre 1996, some makes, mainly Japanese are also okay.

But the whole oxygenate issue is an artifact of the last time the Clean Air Act was revised in 1991 IIRC. The first one EPA proposed was a disaster as MTBE was a really nasty contaminant of water and quickly shelved in favor of ethanol.

Outside the attainment area, you get cheaper gas during the summer, inside them, more expensive and it can sometimes cause bad problems like when pipelines, hurricanes, etc. disrupt refinery operations. Without a waiver by the president, fuel for Cleveland cannot be sold in Louisville or Atlanta. And vice versa. And refineries base their output on specific markets which means fubar when a non attainment area cannot get its specific summer blend. And it costs more.

True, a little ethanol in the gas will prevent your gas lines freezing from moisture. The ethanol absorbs the water. Not much need for "gas dryer" products any more. It only gets cold enough for that moisture freezing issue to be a concern once a "winter," if then, and the ethanol handles it.

Macs generally work fine until big version changes when it can sometimes be a driver issue if the mfg does not support the newer OS variant. Only happened a couple of times in Mac world, more than several in Windows. Main reason a lot of people run old Windows machines is because they have either programs that won't run on later versions or hardware with the same problem.

The underlying OS of Macs is BSD Unix so you get reliability with refinement. Linux is a bit Wild West for some people but far better than it was.

175 141 It's nearly always summer in this place, so I'm not sure what "winter blend" is here.

True, a little ethanol in the gas will prevent your gas lines freezing from moisture. The ethanol absorbs the water. Not much need for "gas dryer" products any more. It only gets cold enough for that moisture freezing issue to be a concern once a "winter," if then, and the ethanol handles it.

186 It amazes me that they keep going after people who know where the bodies are buried. Eventually one of these guys is going to just run and drop a torrent file of incriminating evidence on the people who are turning on them.

In 3 years I hope the Dems have the stones to go after bondi, Patel, Jordan, miller and all the trumps. Toss in Hegseth, he's done the exact same thing they've charged Bolton with.

If by some miracle we have normal elections in 2028 and a Democrat wins, Trump/Vance will get hand cramps signing pardons so that can't happen. Just like when Biden did one for his son on the way out

Do they really want to take to trial? Can they use classified material? I think this is meant to bankrupt these people with legal fees.

Republican politicians haven't figured out that they will wind up being pursued by Trump, too. They keep letting this train run and eventually they're going to be on the tracks.

I thought the House was in recess so they couldn't swear in Grijalva? But they can do this shit instead I guess.

BIden pardoning all of those people is looking pretty good at the moment.

Sixty-nine of the roughly 110 lawyers in the Federal Programs Branch have voluntarily left the unit since President Donald Trump's election in November."

Criminals, including our elite class, don't stop at just one crime almost never. Leticia is an example as she has lied on mortgage applications for decades now and keeps two criminals in her houses. One who has an outstanding warrant in another state. Plus, tax and insurance fraud are likely.

252 I spent the morning wrestling with the verification process to be able to sign on to Social Security. You can't just use your old username anymore; oh, noooo. You have to use Login.gov or ID.me. And to get one of those accounts you have to upload pics of your ID front and back, and your SS card; and then have a video call to confirm you are you and not Hannibal Lecter. Bah.

But! My new Canon printer showed up. This afternoon I set it up and downloaded the software, and everything works!

Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at October 21, 2025 05:27 PM (omVj0)

I thought I'd lost my SS card last week.
Couldn't find it anywhere.

So I had to go through the same thing you did at login.gov and went through the entire process (several times) for it to ask me for a phone number (which I'd just given them to do the entire process on my phone.

At which point it informed me that my phone number couldn't be verified and I'd have to use another method - go to Post Office and they'll check my ID and me.
So frustrating and had me angry for a few hours.

Thankfully, I found my SS card in the last place I'd look for it - behind my auto insurance card in my wallet. d'oh!

254 It's always an uphill battle for us. We all know this. But the Trump team is actually fighting.

Yea, it would be great to see Brennan, Clapper, Comey and more in an orange jumpsuit but don't overlook the benefit of it being proven once and for all how corrupt the Obama/Biden/Clinton team was. I want their reputations shredded.

Yes, they're fighting. And I for one actually *do* appreciate it. Maybe some normals might notice and adjust their thinking.

But the problem as I see it that doesn't matter that the Trump admin is actually fighting, because the fight cannot be won. The Party's people are above the law. They may get fired and their reputations outside of Party circles may crash, but there is no real punishment for them. DC is a Party town, and the federal courts more broadly are a Party organization. They're all fine, and will remain so. It's terribly unjust, but it is what it is. They can't be punished. Just sent home.

Sent home is better than staying put in their offices, but it ain't exactly just.

Chairman's perogative (eg Grassley's) which can be changed, I think, by a committee vote. Blue slips are not in the Senate rules and have been unevenly applied depending on who was chair of Judiciary on the Senate. Came about for Southern senators back in seg days to block integrationist judges (aka Republicans) from being seated in the South.

Frankly outdated and unconscionable nowadays.

Nominees can and have been forced directly to the floor without Judiciary signoff but controversial as usually at least a tie vote is used to send to the floor with no recommendation.

Bork got a non recommended vote from Senate Judiciary and sent to the floor anyway because of WH and Bork's insistence on a floor vote.

That is so. It's no small thing for the truth to be made known far and wide, regardless of whether or not the individual principals spend any time in jail. And they still might.

===============

Reputations, by definition, are perceptions. Those are easily manipulated. The Obama/Biden/Clinton team can easily turn it all back on Trump as a wild-goose-chasing, witch-hunting revenge project that ended in failure.

Maybe because nobody on our side ever really fought before. One thing's for sure: the fight can't be won if it's never joined. We could still lose, of course. The rot has set in deep.

Not so sure. Winds seem to be changing direction where the past may no longer predict the future accurately. Crimes have gotten egregious lately up to an attempted coup and perhaps widespread electoral cheating at a massive scale.

I think the real problem for the Trump administration is how much do they want to go with their investigations as some of them are pretty explosive in nature.

Government, since the Cold War ended, has simply carried on with secrecy to the extent that those in it felt emboldened to do all sorts of things because they felt they could get away with it. Like the Covid Vaxx conspiracy and so on.

Posted by: whig at October 21, 2025 06:23 PM (WDjG6)

270 Good.

Trump let Brennan, Clapper and Hillary all walk away in the name of 'bipartisanship' and 'grace' despite clear and unambiguous evidence of actual, real crimes.

They knifed him in the back and tried to throw him in prison for the rest of his life on made-up 'novel interpretations' of law.

Now he's going full scorched earth.

They shouldn't have started this fight.

GOP has never in its modern incarnation fought like Democrats. Remember how they went after all of Nixon's supporters. It wasn't just Nixon that served time. They went after Reagan's administration too lock stock and barrel requiring a ridiculous last minute going out the door pardon for Caspar Weinberger over Iran Contra. Caspar opposed the whole deal in the first place.

And they went after GWB (Scooter Libby), after Trump with fake charges, and so on.

The problem for Dems is that Trump fights like a Democrat.

Not so much. Repetition, Repetition, Repetition is the key to destruction of a reputation which is why the Russia Russia bullshit lasted so long that a small percentage of the American population still believes it is true that Trump was a Russian asset.

Dems learned that playing hardball which is why, like Kevin Costner teaching Nuke how to deal with reporters, they have a long line of cliches that they repeat over and over again to ensure it sticks with low information voters.

Trump, and now others in the GOP finally seem to be getting the message. And once the public has come to judgment of a character repeatedly in the news for bad behavior, almost impossible to climb out of the hole entirely. Nixon came as close as anyone and still was essentially relegated to behind the scenes roles. Truman, similarly for Democrats as was Hoover for the GOP.

I had to deal with the IRS last year - same routine, except my ONLY option was ID.me.
It's a PRIVATE company that the gov DEMANDS you give all of your personal.info to.
Talk about a hacker target.
