FBI Now Investigating a "Hunting Stand" With a Clear Line of Fire to Air Force One's Landing Strip at Palm Beach Airport

What are these youthful No Kings Q-tip scamps up to now?

The US Secret Service is investigating what could be a sniper's nest or a hunting stand near an area where President Trump's Air Force One has recently been kept at Palm Beach International Airport, according to sources.
The suspicious stand, found Thursday, is in a tree and within the line of sight of the section of the airport where Trump exits the presidential jet, and was described to The Post by law enforcement sources as an odd collection of pipes.
There was no ammunition or explosives found, but it raised the service's alarm.
Authorities do not know yet whether it is a hunting stand or merely junk in a tree -- or has a more nefarious purpose, sources said.
The area could be used by hunters who go after invasive green iguanas, the sources added.
"Prior to the president's return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone," FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox News, which first reported the story.

The investigation is more of a precaution, the sources said.

Wisconsin Democrats were tossed from a farmers market after a vile volunteer handed out "Is he dead yet?" bracelets -- including to a young child -- in an apparent reference to President Trump.
The Winnebago County Democratic Party will no longer host a table at the Oshkosh Farmers Market as incendiary rhetoric against Trump and his allies has ramped up since the Republican returned to the White House this year.
The latest instance of menacing words came when a volunteer handed out the hateful bracelet to an 8-year-old child, who then showed it to their mother on Sunday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Local mother Katy Neubauer called the bracelet "hate speech" against the president.
The child's mother, Katy Neubauer, was left stunned by the bracelet and dropped it back in the basket at the committee's table, which also had other anti-Trump material, according to the newspaper.
"It's hate speech. I mean, it's literally wishing death on somebody, which isn't appropriate in any scenario," the outraged mom told Fox 11 News.
Oshkosh Farmers Market manager Michelle Schmid-Schultz told the station it was the local Democratic committee that handed out the bracelets, which yielded about 10 complaints from patrons and broke market rules.
She said local party officials and the market agreed that the Winnebago Dems won't be back for the final two markets wrapping up the summer season.

Hunting blinds... for iguana hunting.

As though there are wary and flighty herds of iguana running through the jungles for Florida, and to catch even one a hunter has to be still and silent for extended periods of time.

Based on the videos I've seen the biggest challenge to hunting iguanas is making sure they don't hit your head when they fall out of the trees after you plug them.

Two questions: What is the distance and which way would a potential shooter be looking.

If the shooter looks over the big branch to get line of sight, then, possible, because he could get a nice stable position. Opposite way would be a difficult shot.

National Guard troops from a state where the governor supports activation (feds pay the troops) have arrest authority which sidesteps Posse Comitatus laws that forbid active duty troops from doing that. Thus, Memphis. In Portland and Chicago, Natl Guard troops from other states are being sent in to guard federal facilities. That frees up federal authorities like Border Patrol, ICE, FBI, DEA, etc. to go back to arresting and deporting criminal assholes rather than guarding ICE facilities.

Also, suddenly, if rioters go after federalized Nat Guard members, then Insurrection Act can be invoked. Once invoked, Posse Comitatus no longer applies and federal martial law can bypass state and local courts and law enforcement entirely.

Also, suddenly, if rioters go after federalized Nat Guard members, then Insurrection Act can be invoked. Once invoked, Posse Comitatus no longer applies and federal martial law can bypass state and local courts and law enforcement entirely.

It will. But in the meantime, they can pull the worst gangbangers off the street, and that will quiet things down for awhile. I expect it'll be a few years before Memphis is the most violent city in America again, after the NG clears out.

Actually surges work pretty well. It is a relatively small number of ganged up individuals that are driving crimes as in 70-80 percent of crimes coming from less than 20 percent of criminals.

You want to break the gangs, you go after the super predators with federal charges (see Project Exile in Richmond as an example) which bypasses the easy come easy go local court systems that result in revolving doors for career criminals.

Troops are allowed to protect federal property full stop. See Ft. Sumter for example. States and local governments do not have the affirmative duty to protect federal property and they haven't in blue shitholes.

So Trump is bringing in out of state troops so that the besieged agents can quit being on the front lines and go back to arresting criminals. Natl Guard also has some useful toys beyond most federal law enforcement and if the antifa types step on federal property or attack, then that triggers federal charges and perhaps invocation of Insurrection Act.

If your worry is 10th, it doesn't apply to federal charges nor federal property. So no casuistry needed.

Crap like this happened in the old days of the Reconstruction where KKK and their sympathizers carried out a cold war against federal occupying troops.

It is being appealed, and the tribe didn’t ask for the private property / deeded property back. The judge just went over and above the ask. The Tribe sued for government property and specific corporate property in I believe an archaeological area (don’t quote me on that last part), and there is still open how compensation will work for those who lose their property if private property is taken, even though the tribe doesn’t want it.

274 First time mom was starting to panic a bit as baby was measuring smaller than the "expectation" on her last two check-ups.

We sent some prayers her way from the MoMe. I think they helped with her peace for the delivery.

She is not my toughest daughter, yet did the delivery without an epidural. She really wanted to do everything just right for the baby.

Note to the 'ettes: As a man, I am pretty sure I would have asked them for two or three epidurals ... and keep 'em coming!

I missed this comment but due to the way our laws are constructed plus Scotus decisions in Clinton v. New York and Printz v. US, state and local officials have no positive duty to cooperate in any way with federal law enforcement.

You can make the argument by failing to protect federal facilities that it is obstruction but that is a hard reach with today's interpretation of laws.

But some of the old histories of the Reconstruction and official reports ( I was at the Citadel's library researching something else when I came upon them), were something else in describing just how lawless the area was after the civil war ended. Georgia had similar problems.

They made some post Katrina adjustments to the laws regarding National Guard deployment in natural disasters to make it easy for feds to get involved but cannot offhand recall what they were. GWB did not want to invoke the Insurrection Act which he should have done given the incompetence of Blanco and Chocolate City Nagin.
