Surprise! The Gang-Member Carjackers That Beat the Shit Out of "BigBallz" Aren't Going to Spend a Single Day in Jail

"Teens" will be spared actual punishment for carjacking and a violent gang assault.

Two teenagers who jumped former DOGE staffer Edward "Big Balls" Coristine have avoided jail after pleading guilty to simple assault at a Washington, DC, court.

The boy and girl, both 15, from Hyattsville, Maryland, were sentenced to probation at a DC court on Tuesday, just over two months after the pair were arrested for the savage Aug. 3 attack, WUSA9 reported.

The boy was handed a 12-month probation and allowed to return home under strict house arrest, while the girl was given a nine-month probation and remanded to a local youth shelter.

...

Coristine was left with a concussion and a broken nose after he and a female companion were jumped by "a group of 10 guys," the ex-DOGE employee previously said.

Unrelated: This is a thin post so I'll combine it with another thin post.

Andrea Mitchell gave her thanks for the ceasefire.

Specifically, she thanked Joe Biden and "51 Intelligence Officials" psyops hoaxer Anthony Blinken.

NBC News veteran Andrea Mitchell was scorched online after she appeared to credit the Biden administration for the Gaza peace deal brokered by President Donald Trump.

The 78-year-old host thanked former Secretary of State Antony Blinken for his work "creating the basis for the agreement once the two sides were finally prepared to compromise -- we hope!" -- a message that many read as giving the Biden team credit for Trump's breakthrough.

"Thank you for spending two years working toward this moment," Mitchell wrote Monday on X in a reply to a post by Blinken.

...

Blinken, who served under former President Joe Biden, posted earlier that Trump's plan "adopted and built on the plan the Biden Administration developed."

That thread prompted Mitchell's reply -- and the wave of ridicule that followed.

Critics across social media accused Mitchell of twisting credit away from Trump and rewriting the origins of the agreement.

"That time Andrea Mitchell thanks Blinken and Biden over [current Secretary of State Marco] Rubio and Trump for the peace deal in Gaza. Just incredible," journalist Joe Concha wrote on X.

Another X user wrote: "Sad, sad state of journalism. You're embarrassing yourself, Andrea. Go home."

The agreement last year (which Israel agreed to and Hamas rejected) was for Israel to retreat to the previous borders and then Hamas would turn over hostages.

The agreement now includes Israel pulling back from active fighting, Hamas turning over hostages, and then outside groups dismantling Hamas completely while denying them entry into Gazan politics forever.

They are completely different deals where both had the hostage exchange in the middle.

88 The wrist-slap sentencing is especially insidious because light sentences remove all incentive for street-level criminals to rat out the higher-ups in the gangs.

These brat scumbags aren't just out carjacking for fun. They are the street punks in the service of gangs. They jack the cars, turn them over to the gangs for a vig, and the gangs then strip and/or sell the cars.

This is big business. That's why car-jacking is such a problem in certain areas. Without the gangs running the fencing racket, there would be no street thieves. But if you don't prosecute street thieves, then there's no way to get to the gangs.

Also, their legal counsel faced an uphill challenge since the mask helped obscure some "tells" that a good attorney picks up on during the course of testimony.

175 I took a deeper look at this sentencing.

1. Looks like the two thugs were charged in juvie court. If that's true, then there was never any chance they were ever gonna get time or any serious punishment. They should have been charged as adults.

2. Juvie courts are a joke. While we are mocking this DEI judge's excuse that juvenile court's purpose isn't to punish, but rather to rehabilitate, that is in fact true as a legal matter. She was following the law in this regard.

3. Juvie courts are a joke in large part because they were set up at a time when juveniles weren't routinely committing violent adult crimes (in service of violent adults). That is obviously not true now.

No real way to know. There wouldn't be any reported record of it happening, unless the judgment was satisfied and a judgment sat was filed. Even then, it would just be filed in that individual case, and very few people would ever know about it.

I can say for sure that old judgments have been used to seize assets. There must be assets to seize, of course.

First off, they already know the outcome, since not a single impeached Judge would be convicted in the Senate, where 67 votes are required. You need 14 Democrat votes for every casse

But second, and even better, the fight would consume all the oxygen and time in both houses of Congress, and delay every other, much more important and consequential, thing Trump is trying to do.

‘The prosecution was doomed from the beginning.’

Yeah. You’re right. They probably shouldn’t try to do anything. It’s too hard.

244 China Beach more or less functioned as a Vietnam-era sequel to M*A*S*H in various ways, but thankfully without a preachy Hawkeye character.

It was good but they ruined it when they brought Ricki Lake on as the fat donut dolly character and the hot guy fell for her. Gimme a break, show.

247 Good that they put those caveats in the agreement. It will be by God's hand that those Sky Hooks respect all of the agreements.

254 I was still at work when the post about Charlie Kirk went up, may I comment on that?

Two young Mormon sculptors made portrait busts of Charlie, both excellent works.

But one Catholic dude made a clay bust of Charlie which is being promoted harder than the other two. Unfortunately, it resembles Charlie as much those ugly statues of Lucille Ball, Tina Turner, and Ronaldo look like their respective subjects. Also, Charlie is being embraced by Jesus Christ, who some (correctly) say looks like Bigfoot.

I'm Catholic, and twenty-five years ago, I would not have thought being a Catholic in 2025 would be so hard.

255 5. Once all [live] hostages are released, Israel will release 250 life sentence prisoners plus 1,700 Gazans who were detained after 7 October 2023, including all women and children detained in that context. For every [dead] Israeli hostage whose remains are released, Israel will release the remains of 15 deceased Gazans.
