Yes, but boys are more competitive...and when seeing an advantage in a "game", they take it. Thus, why boys are the most likely falling off the trans game now. They have no more advantage to gain.

Her argument was that before the 19th *the family* has one vote. If the 19th passes and the husband and wife vote the same way it doesn't matter at all since we've now just doubled the number of votes, but if they vote opposing each other then the family is rendered with having no vote since they cancelled each other out.
It was an interesting take, back from when marriage was a much more serious institution.

It won't take much to destroy it. Majority-Minority districts can only be created by insane gerrymandering that results in districts that look like spiderwebs of shit thrown on a wall.
If even 25% of gerrymandering in a MMD is shitcanned, then the MMD fall apart. It's not like the GOP has to "win" by turning MMDs into normal rationally-designed districts. The GOP can win just by getting a judge to require a scale-back of the gerrymander.

The biggest problem with the MM districts (aside from their utter unconstitutionality) is that the politicians in them have no need to try to appeal to the larger population. As a result, you get wackjobs like Maxine Waters who appeal to nobody, and yet carry a disproportionate influence on Dem policy. The Dems desperately need some moderating influences.

Off topic but on my mind based on current events: do I remember right that Billy Jeff focused all of his attention, in the waning months of his presidency, to resolve the Palestinian situation. I think I even remember a quote, something to the effect of "I've worked on this harder than anything in my life" (apologies to Monica, I guess). But it was just intractable. Think his goal was a. legacy/nobel and b. to leave office with something notable other than Monica to remember. I don't think he achieved either. Also would note that a few months of effort being the "hardest thing" is pretty pathetic for a 50 something man.

Kids lacked a certain amount of socialization - and experimentation - during C19, especially in the long lockdown states.
Parents being hypervigilant as to their kids' health also increased in (my) long lockdown states. (For kids without serious medical problems, autoimmune diseases, etc.)
Hopefully, many of the non-binary choices will vanish with age and experience.

I was on Ozempic for 3 months when I started my journey, at the lowest dose, for 12 weeks, 30 months ago now. I started at 355, practically dead. Feet hurt, knees hurt, blood pressure at 190/120, resting heart rate at 100 bpm. It was horrible, but helpful. I'd be nauseous for the first day or two, couldn't and didn't want to eat anything. A glass of water would make me vomit. It got me down to 256. Since, (and concurrently) it's been all life style changes and self discipline. I track every calorie, work out regularly. Have maintained 191 or less since January of 2024, knees still hurt a bit, but not nearly as much, vitals are under 60 bpm, 120/80 or less for bp, lots of energy, etc. So, I can see a need for people in the worst shape, as I was, but it's really the lifestyle changes that matter long term.

Sometimes Scotus addresses this for lower courts. I simply do not know. VRA cases involving congressional districts still have the old three district judge panels with direct appeal (not writ of cert) to Scotus so Scotus can simply allow states to go directly to litigation via these panels or write their own districts subject to the new/old VRA interpretation before Congress monkeyed with it in 1982.

My current employer is in the process of self destructing because some higher ups had tranny kids, and the entire enterprise turned into a jobs program for freaks. Multi-decade, billion dollar business driven into the ground because some fat slobs want to wear dresses and wigs and got hired for jobs they aren't qualified for. About 20% of the remaining company is freaks. I'm only riding it in for some additional bonuses.

For what it is worth, a month ago I read an article from Canada that 1/2 of men who try to become women surgically kill themselves. Their goal was not met.
What was met was chronic leakage, no sex, no orgasm, ingrown hairs and taking 15-20min to simply pee. Plus chronic pain all day.
