Good morning kids. And so the Israeli hostages have been liberated, and from many quarters, President Trump is being hailed as a peacemaker, even from some of his bitterest critics on the Left. Of course the usual gaggle of degenerates and scum have their own spin on Gaza.

And after sucking on some Mein Kampf whippets, this decrepit scumbag joined in on the Jew-baiting as is his wont to do

The Vermont senator, who has called for a ceasefire for the past two years, also used the moment to call for an end to the US-Israel alliance

So, despite many singing President Trump's praises and nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize, and despite my reservations about exchanging Israeli hostages and the remains of the victims of Islam, for the figurative and literal cutting edge of Islam in the form of hundreds of devout Muslims who observe the Koran by planning plotting and executing the slaughter of Jews in Israel and all over the world. Sadly, 10/7 will happen again, or a number of smaller scale 10/7's will happen over and over that will add up to or exceed the body count of the worst slaughter of Jews since the end of the Second World War.

That is and has been the status quo for 1500 years and unless and until there is a radical change in the mindset of every Muslim on planet Earth, more blood of innocents will flow in Israel and everywhere else where Islam has gained a foothold.

Meanwhile, over on the Ukrainian Front, President Trump has flipped his golden bouffant coiffure:

Trump made the remarks on Air Force One late Sunday night, even saying he spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy:

Sorry, but this is fucking nuts. I would doubt that Vladimir Putin would launch ICBM's on Ukraine and certainly not on us. But miscalculations happen and that leads to hair getting mussed, as General Buck Turgidson would warn.

In 1914, Europe stumbled into a war no one wanted and few understood;a war that destroyed empires and redefined civilization.
Today, Washington risks repeating that mistake, this time with nuclear weapons on the table. Through arrogance, ignorance, or incompetence, the United States is drifting toward direct confrontation with Russia, the world’s largest nuclear arsenal, with consequences that could be apocalyptic.
President Trump last week said he has “sort of” made a decision about supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine or NATO allies.
He wants to learn more about “what they are doing with them” before making a final decision. His goal is to avoid escalating the conflict, but his words suggest he is doing anything but.
Is Trump posturing, playing 5-D chess as some claim, or joining the warmongering wing of the GOP?

Trump must deal with the realities of a very large MIC.

This includes the support of a large slice of the GOP who are wards of the MIC. To get the cuts in the military, there must be quid pro quos.

To maintain peace, Trump must give continued tribute to the MIC lest they start another costly war somewhere else so that the NGO pigs can grift at the humanitarian aid table.

Not sure Leo created it...it was mentioned offhand by the father running the Vatican Apostolic Library.

For those unaware, this is the library that scholars of all religions travel to the Vatican to research ancient scrolls and texts. It has proven to be a very effective means of conversion for many of those top religious scholars over the years. The Vatican Library did not create the room, but allowed visiting Muslim scholars access to a room to pray and put their rugs.

That said, do I think it's a good idea? No, under the give an inch and give a mile paradigm (b/c with one request granted, you open the door to 100 more from all faiths). But I understand where a Father (not a Bishop, and not a Pope) probably did not see the harm b/c he's just a welcoming guy and wants everyone to be comfortable in their research. Whether the room stands now that it went public and now the Pope probably is aware of it, TBD...

The Iran arrangement looks pretty inconsequential now.

I think the drug cartel issue from Venezuela is nowhere near as bad as it is from Mexico. I think the drug boat interdiction effort is a veil for regime change. There are enough assets in the Caribbean to pull that off if the administration wants to.

This is a ghastly road Catholicism seems to be on. I don't want to offend anyone here by saying that, so please don't take it that way. But I just don't understand how the Vatican doesn't see what they're doing. This isn't taking care of the poor, huddled masses of migrants in need of sympathy and support. This is a blood-thirsty totalitarian religion whose only goal is to subsume and enslave the rest of the world. Pope Leo has cut open the Church's veins and while the blood drips, he's opened the doors to hungry apex predators. Hyperbolic, yes. I believe that the plan is as follows:

1. Send Starship to orbit.
2. Send additional Starships to orbit as tankers to refuel the Starship in step 1.
3. Once Starship in step 1 is refueled, leave for Mars.

I believe that they have notional plans for obtaining methane on Mars to facilitate a return. Many technical hurdles remain but many have been solved. It is a process and we are in the middle.

108 I have Thoughts on the boys sports thing. it really was a mine field for my boys. they ended up getting out of team sports way early due to the intensity and I guess politics - it was super stressful at like, 8 years old. both into the kind of sports without the "team" aspect that aggressive parents and their kids make hellish (golf and track). and playing CYO whatever with their pals (thankfully CYO still has a bunch of casual teams for kids to play whatever sport they wish).

it's similar for young girls now but nowhere near as crazy. still, pretty crazy.

I have frequently made the point that people do not understand Qatar at all; the only god they have ever truly worshipped is Gold. They will act like jihadis if they’re paid to; they will switch sides overnight the minute they get a higher bid. The old nitrate film stock, if not stored under optimum conditions, will self combust. Very dangerous. In the late 60's I worked part time as a projectionist in a few very old movie theaters. The projection booth actually was fireproof and had metal shutters that would drop down, covering the port holes in the event the nitrate film would conbust. The chains that held them in the open position were spliced with a small lead link that would melt in the event of a fire, allowing the metal to drop down, covering the port holes. The projectors also had firetraps separating the supply and take-up reel magazines. If the film caught fire in the film gate, the flames wouldn't spread to the reels themselves. Dangerous profession back in the nitrate film days. Many theater fires back then.
