There was a very rare display of them on my last night in high school, some 29 years ago (more or less).

We went out to the last surviving drive-in, watched a forgettable movie and stared at the sky, which was incredible. Awe-inspiring.

And we wondered what it might mean. Here we were, looking to an uncertain future. Who were the lights for? Were we destined for great things?

Some of us did big things, but maybe not great.

She looked great in "Moulin Rouge." Baz Luhrmann's camera work was incredible. In the DVD extras he said that her skin tone was perfect for different lighting, and he did it so well that she became much hotter than she ever was in real life.

My wife and I watch it every Valentine's Day. Still fun to watch.

Yes, there too. We were coming back from devils tower one night and stopped in Hulett, so it was dark when we headed out. Little bit of a hairy ride on motorcycles at night heading back to Bell Fourche SD, but damn it was worth it. There were times I felt like we were on another planet. Not just the sky, but no people, no buildings, no lights, zip, nadda.

My brother in law was diagnosed with with a brain tumor. He had another scan last weekend and now there is another one. He was losing his vision and the scans found the first tumor.

He already has lost the ability to speak. He is having surgery Friday and the surgeon said yesterday he probably will not be able to walk again.

We are devastated. He is a wonderful man and has always been healthy. Please pray for Chris.

Damn, gotta take shit like that seriously. Every year that we went to sturgis we always had a rookie or 2. I would tell them to make sure they had warm clothes for night, maybe a bottle of water, enough gas, etc. Some would look at me like I was nuts. I had to give the same frigging speech every year. I would say look man, you're not casually driving home from the frigging jersey shore on the parkway with an exit every mile, and gas stops, and stores. We're talking the middle of nowhere, as in fucking mars, nothing. No buildings, no shelter, no stores, no people, nothing.

My brother in law was diagnosed with with a brain tumor. He had another scan last weekend and now there is another one. He was losing his vision and the scans found the first tumor.

He already has lost the ability to speak. He is having surgery Friday and the surgeon said yesterday he probably will not be able to walk again.

We are devastated. He is a wonderful man and has always been healthy. Please pray for Chris.

Here is a possible effect -
If Guard cordons off a city block or three to roll-up rioters, does the usual readiñg of the riot act (depart now or any level force may and will be used including lethal), any local police force not affirmatively in cooperation (i.e.: control) will be treated no differently than the rioters.

IOW local cops need to stay out of sniper range of the NG.

One of the more recent Obamacare 'fixes' gave funds to Red states that didn't want to opt into the plan. Those funds are what's keeping their premiums low. Take them away, and premiums double - and then some. MTG said that her adult kids (among many others) will suffer, so she wants the funding to continue.

yeah and hope the hell there is enough gas to get to the next closed station. I keep a plug kit and pump in the saddle bag of the full dresser. The other bikes have spoke wheels, so no help there. A friend of mine rode out to sturgis from jersey on a harley low rider. he went with a dude who was driving a full dresser, who was pushing on to the grand teton after sturgis, which left my friend to travel back from S Dakota alone. Bad move, I warned him. I had done the motor in his bike, but nothing else was new. It had new tires, but he didn't do a new chain or sprockets. He had battery problems and was looking behind closed gas stations for old batteries to get acid from. THEN he lost the teeth on the rear sprocket in ohio, and thank god a couple from PA returning from sturgis with a trailer saw him and took him in for the night and brought him to a dealer to get parts the next day.
