Surprise! Joe Biden Blocked the CIA From Releasing a Report on Hunter Biden's Actions as an Agent of Foreign Powers

Then-Vice President Joe Biden's team intervened in February 2016 to prevent the CIA from disseminating an intelligence report to policymakers about the perceptions senior Ukrainian officials held about his son's business dealings, newly declassified memos show.
The request that the intelligence community withhold the report from others in the U.S. government by Biden's national security advisor was "extremely rare and unusual," a senior CIA official told Just the News.
"I just spoke with VP/NSA and he would strongly prefer the report not/not be disseminated," the vice president's Presidential Daily Brief briefer told the CIA. "Thanks for understanding."
The report, reviewed by Just the News, compiled the reactions of senior Ukrainian government officials to the December 2015 visit of Vice President Biden to Kyiv.
In the aftermath of the country's Maidan Revolution and the Russian seizure of Crimea, Biden had been appointed President Barack Obama's point man to manage U.S. policy towards the fledgling, pro-Western government.
The document shows that the Ukrainian officials in the government of then-President Petro Poroshenko, were disappointed with the vice president's visit to their country for his lack of substantive discussions with their leader. Those same officials "privately mused" about the U.S. media's scrutiny on Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine, the report shows.
"These officials viewed the alleged ties of the U.S. Vice President's family to corruption in Ukraine as evidence of a double-standard within the United States Government towards matters of corruption and political power," the CIA relayed.
The intelligence report also shows that the Ukrainian officials "expressed bewilderment and disappointment" about the vice president's visit because he did not engage in any of the expected discussions about substantive matters with Poroshenko or other senior officials.

In other words, he only came to Ukraine to threaten them into dropping an investigation into Hunter Biden's employer. Rather than discussing the issues he claimed he was making the trip to discuss, he focused only on protecting Hunter Biden's foreign paymasters.

The vice president's December 2015 visit to Kyiv has been the subject of much scrutiny surrounding Hunter Biden's business dealings with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. It was on that trip that Vice President Biden decided to alter U.S. policy to call for Poroshenko to fire his chief prosecutor, Viktor Shokin. The vice president threatened to withhold a substantial U.S. loan guarantee if not.
At the time, Shokin was probing Burisma and its owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, for corruption. His son, Hunter, had just officially joined the board of the company in May 2014. Shortly before the vice president's trip, then-Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt warned Biden's top advisors that the U.S. government considered Burisma corrupt.

Remember when we talked about impeaching Bill Clinton after his presidency to strip him of his federal retirement payments and security team funding?

Isn't it time we do that to Biden?

9th circuit panel which ruled in the LA deployment of guard using much the same facts means that another 9th panel is likely to apply that precedent to the Oregon district court judge. Two days ago, I mistakenly took that panel opinion to be the one in the present OR TRO case as the facts were so similar and someone else had mentioned it. Read the opinion without reading the header so mea culpa.

In part, that is probably the reason why Trump is planning to use California guard instead. Thus provoking an apparent verbal warning by the Oregon judge that external Guard could not be deployed as well. Like the stupid oral demand by Judge Boasberg in turning the plane around.

Lawfare is intrinsically stupid political and legally in the long run unless you plan to destroy the concept of law entirely which is possible given critical legal studies bullshit.

Trump is using 10 U.S.C. § 12406 currently to federalize the NG, and not any provision of the IA.

Posse Comitatus applies to this, as well as "limited judicial review". Previous court rulings said that broad deference was to be given to POTUS use of this, unless it was in "bad faith" or outside of statutory limits.

The silly Oregon judge used those magic phrases in her fuling to get around the broad deference.

With the IA, there is no judicial review at all, and Posse Comitatus does not apply at all. And again, with the IA, it's not just the NG, the full regular armed forces can be used.

That is why I mentioned specifically IF and why Trump might invoke the Insurrection Act.

And there is always constitutional review of the Insurrection Act as constitutional grounds as applied go toward the IA as well as any other government action. It has been held facially constitutional in a very old 19th century decision (too lazy to pull it up but there) but there is always the as applied distinction.

You can have a neutral law like IA that is constitutional facially such as an obscenity or disorderly conduct laws, but the courts can determine using the facts of an applied case that it might impinge on protected constitutional rights as the law was applied in that specific circumstance.

See Bivins v. 6 Unidentified Agents which created the constitutional tort for violations of the 4th Amendment.

There is an old legal phrase--for every right there must be a remedy. And in fact, lack of a remedy may indicate that the case is non justiciable such as lawsuits against the Lord are (leaving aside jurisdiction problems).

Federal system does not work that way. DoJ has to have every felony complaint go to a grand jury for indictment. It is slow by design ordinarily but now imagine a Trump appointed district attorney having to deal with leftist staff attorneys that are required to get things done. And Bondi herself can order a DA to covene a grand jury but not to make that grand jury indict as they have refused in several DC cases despite clear evidence to the contrary.

States, however, can try by information or by grand jury with a simply pretrial hearing for indictment by information which generally leaves the time consuming grand juries for publicity type cases where the prosecutor can walk away from an indictment or refusal to issue a true bill by claiming the grand jury did it.

Bondi is simply the manager and public face of the DoJ, she doesn't do cases personally any more than a General personally leads from the front.

Never use copper solvents on nickel firearms--it will destroy the finish if it seeps through the nickel. To nickel plate the old way, usually a copper plate job was done and then nickel. Electroless nickel plating doesn't need that I think but I would have to check on that supposition to make sure.

Most Garands and M1 Carbines are mixmasters anyway as armorers simply used parts willy nilly as needed for rebuilding without regard for manufacturers. And they shoot fine that way. Same issue on 1917 Rifles to a lesser extent as WWII refurbs replaced barrels and other parts due to rust from bad storage techniques between the wars.

That is why all correct parts aka untouched rifles bring more from collectors due to scarcity, not accuracy.

A big reason should be what has been going on with the Comey case in the Eastern District of Virginia. Bondi had to force out the US Attorney who refused to bring charges and then 2 of his prosecutors where fired/resigned in protest over Comey being charged. One of them is one of Comey's son in laws.

The DOJ has been packed with leftist activists for decades. It didn't all magically change when Trump appointed Bondi.

Point is, she can't refer something to a grand jury. She can give instructions to whoever is over that particular jurisdiction as DA, acting DA or senior DA, but they then have to convene the grand jury or use an existing one. Takes time because the DoJ career attorneys are leftists by and large thus Trump appointed DAs are dealing with staff rebellions, sit down strikes, etc. For example, look at the Comey and Letiticia cases. SENIOR level DoJ types are refusing to do their work given to them by their superiors. You can fire them and I think they are up to three or four firings over the Comey issue and perhaps one is coming in the Letiticia case , but that takes time to hire and bring in someone new as well or deal with additional mutineers in the office.

And these are SIMPLE cases where the evidence speaks for itself--not complex conspiracy and RICO cases.
