There is, of course, the ongoing celebration of the Kirk assassination. Then there is the defense of Jay Jones' bloodlust. The glorification of Mangione. The constant wagon-circling around Antifa. The deafening silence around trans-perpetrated mass shootings. These are just the recent ones, and the list goes on and on and on. But the problem is very much deeper than that. The Left doesn't have a "terrorism problem," terrorism is part of Leftist identity and worldview. The recent activity is certainly much bigger and louder than before, but it is nothing new. Terrorism is in Leftist DNA and they can't help themselves. If there is a lefty terrorist, he is worthy of worship and defense.
Late last month, the Chicago Teachers Union did something very typical for the Left: they performed public worship of a terrorist on X:Rest in Power, Rest in Peace, Assata Shakur. 🕊️ Today we honor the life and legacy of a revolutionary fighter, a fierce writer, a revered elder of Black liberation, and a leader of freedom whose spirit continues to live in our struggle. Assata refused to be silenced. She taught us that "It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains."Don't know who Shakur was? The Community Notes are there to help:
In 1973, Assata Shakur murdered a NJ State Trooper & was convicted of first-degree murder, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. In 1979, armed allies stormed prison, freed her, and smuggled her to Cuba The FBI added her to its Most Wanted Terrorists list.Shakur was a Black Panther before joining the hardcore racial communist Black Liberation Army. It was during her time with BLA that she was involved in a shootout during a traffic stop on the NJ Turnpike that led to her imprisonment and subsequent jailbreak and asylum in Cuba. She was a radical communist and a convicted murderer. And The Chicago Teacher Union invites her to "rest in power." The white dove emoji was a particularly nice touch. This is a minor sideshow, of course. That's the point. Leftists glorifying terrorists is not only nothing new, it's downright routine. Simple hagiographies of terrorists are becoming dull at this point, now that Democrat governors are flirting with actual open war against the National Guard to defend terrorist encampments at federal buildings and Leftists are regularly gunning down their political enemies real and imagined. They go after soft targets like churches and schools, hard targets like Trump and middling-difficulty targets like Kirk. Their violence is both random and targeted, and they can be sure to receive defense and glorification. The Party cultivates its warriors and sets them loose, then never forgets them. Even decades later, some Party organ or another will at least spare a moment to slaver over a fellow murderous communist as they send her off to "rest in power." Sometimes it's the press, sometimes it's a politician, sometimes it's a teachers union - but they never fail to celebrate a left-wing terrorist while they industriously labor to produce more of them. It has been this way for a very long time, and it will continue. It has to continue, because it is exactly what it looks like. This is who they are, and terrorism is what they do.

It's called muddying the waters. They do it with any story they don't obviously benefit from. That's how they turned Kirk being murdered on video into a Victim Jimmy Kimmel narrative.

In re learning Greek: I did Rosetta Stone Spanish for a month before going to Spain. I was able to do simple conversations like asking for the house red wine, and which bus to take. And the natives were very polite about it. I think.

I don’t know, y’all. It wasn’t so very long ago we could disagree on whether the government should provide health care for everyone, but still agree murdering is bad. Violating children is bad. Those types of thoughts weren’t considered radical. It wasn’t long ago we could all agree advocating for the murder of your opponents children would make you a pariah, or coming down on the side of Hitler’s views of Jewish people would make people give you a very, very wide berth and chances would be you were off the Christmas card list. And yet look at NYC- that isn’t about Palestine. Never again sure was short lived and it’s scary. Who under the age of 40 (maybe even 50!) has ever heard of Shakur, or gives a damn about her? This is a name that only has meaning to those sad old ex-hippie wannabes you see at most every public demonstration the Left stages lately. It's pathetic, their movement is mainly a way to get these sad clowns out of the nursing home for an afternoon and let them get some sun.
That is *not* the foundation of a serious political movement. That is black comedy, nothing more.
Now this does not mean we do not face opposition - the Left still holds a great deal of institutional power, even in the Fed Government. (The purge will take some time to be effective) But the Left is out of ideas , out of plans, out of hope. All they have is emotion and Will-to-Power, which is why they devolve into violence.

The left has always been a revolutionary movement. Sometimes it takes a peaceful form, other times not so much. But revolutionary change has always been their core. They are always advocating for their form of "progress".
The majority of the world is not on the left and for the most part wants to go about their lives and be left alone. This usually means it takes a while to respond to the left but I reject that it means terrorism works. It works for a while but then people start to get fed up with not being left alone and start to push back.
We are there. The response to the murder of Charlie Kirk made this pretty obvious. It doesn't mean the left will abandon violence immediately but it does mean they will increasingly face consequences. We went through this in the 60s and early 70s. We can crush them again.

I think the left realized their perceived power back during the Obama reign. They were "cut loose" from a lot of the regulations, and laws, that kept them in check for decades. Trump 1 pissed them off to no end. *biden's junta cut them loose again and they made good on "getting even" for Trump 1.
Today, it's a fight to restore their perceived power and place in society/government. Keeping them suppressed, at least as far as government is concerned is paramount, IMO. The nutters running free will, or should be, taken care of by society where possible.
But, TBH, I don't think there's much of chance of rehabilitation at this point.

Here, because we don't have an Islamic government, it is treated as a warzone where things normally not allowed like booze, strippers, etc. are allowed to holy warriors in part to disguise who they are. I would imagine some Imam would approve of Piker having a dog under same set of circumstances.

Violence is escalating and even more worrying, they're getting more organized and disciplined. Antifa leadership cadres are reportedly being trained in Cuba. That isn't good. We don't want these people disciplined, well-led, and well-trained.

I wouldn't necessarily put those two in the same category. LAPD stopped CHP from effecting his deserved arrest so they could beat the fuck out of King. He absolutely should have been taken to jail, and that was the job at hand. Floyd's case was nothing even close to King's. Chauvin grinning and preening for the cameras with his knee on Floyd was stupid and unprofessional, and definitely should have gotten him fired, but he wasn't responsible for Floyd's death. MrTea's brother and sister in law are hard leftists. I knew they leaned left but I didn't realize how far left. One night we were having dinner together and we started talking politics -- this is after the 2nd bottle of wine. They both stated that the world would be better off if there were no Jews in it. The infiltration of Islam into the well financed Left and politics is a much more serious threat than Antifa in Portland or Gangs in Chicago or crime in DC. Those can be contained or dismantled. It is underway. But turning out 10's of thousands to block streets and ransack stores and getting elected and imposing Sharia law is way more serious. You do not do use them to correct normal dog behavior like getting up and stretching.
How would you like a shock collar around your neck when a judge decides to shock you for your behavior.

Keeping a dog inside an invisible fence so it does not get into trouble like being run over is a different matter altogether. I don't care for shock collars there either but the intention is not to punish the dog in that case.

And then to read that he was doing drunken windsprints in an alley in the middle of the night prior to going on a violent spree? I suspect somebody drugged his drink OR he bought what he thought was local pot and found out much too late that it was laced with something.
Drinking can be bad, and he may have had another vice he was pursuing with it. But he has no record of violence. I think someone likely random ruined him that night.

I watched the Piker video and I can definitely hear the dog give an alarmed yelp as though shocked but I haven't spotted where he did something to activate it. Piker is a vile shitbag and criminal participant in the recent riots against ICE (no he wasn't there as an objective observer give me a break) and deserves no quarter. But I would like to make sure facts are straight on this especially when he already has a mountain of undeniably godawful things showing what an intestinal parasite he is.

I watched the Piker video and I can definitely hear the dog give an alarmed yelp as though shocked but I haven't spotted where he did something to activate it.
In the video Asmongold posted he's reaching off camera right before the dog yelps. And he's stated openly in the past that it's a shock collar. He even almost says it here when the woman points out the collar is too tight.

Yep, black powder, hence the size and volume of 45 Colt. And with modern smokeless powder, easy to play around with, though I don't, really. Only have a lever rifle in that caliber, though some day it will get a revolver brother, whether repro of old model or a Ruger, dunno.

My dog was trained with a shock collar by a professional dog trainer. I spent several thousand doing this because nothing else worked, it wasn't laziness, it was this particular dogs behavior. I tried it on myself. I keep it at the lowest setting to get his attention when is a situation where he is hyper focused on something he shouldn't be, like chasing one of the cats or jumping on someone. I can't have him hurting someone. I know he doesn't mean to but he gets excited and nothing else will snap him out of it.

He will bark but if someone approaches him he backs up. Some bigger dogs will hurt people just by their size, like my dog was running into the house and stepped on my mom's foot and it hurt. that does not mean he should not be a pet.
