JustTheNews: FBI Corruption Probe Turned Up Whistleblower Tip That Political Allies Paid Off Bill Clinton "Through the Back Door"

As part of a political corruption probe, the FBI obtained evidence that former President Bill Clinton was being paid through a backdoor arrangement with an allied consultant, according to a 2017 document released Tuesday by Senate Judiciary Committee Sen. Chuck Grassley.
The Iowa Republican senator raised the issue in a hearing with Attorney General Pam Bondi and questioned whether the FBI and Justice Department fully investigated the findings.
The document, which was provided to Grassley by a whistleblower, includes a case update drafted by then-Supervisory Special Agent Tim Thibault about the Washington Field Office's public corruption investigation into Virginia Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe linking former President Clinton to the case.
"McAuliffe case -- Steven Sullivan, Chief Financial Officer of Teneo was interviewed in New York City. Info provided seemed to confirm, Teneo was used as a pass through for Doug Band to pay former President of the United States," Thibault wrote.

Thibault is the disgraced, cashiered ringleader of so many RussiaGate-related operations against Trump.

So I'm sure he fully investigated this information.

"Doug Band was a Deputy Assistant to then-President Clinton and continued working for him post-presidency. Therefore, it's pretty clear the reference to 'President of the United States' is Bill Clinton," Grassley said in his opening statement.
"This information confirms there was an FBI case on McAuliffe, and it indicates the Clintons and their associates were relevant to it," said the senator.
"Did the FBI throw its resources behind this matter just like it did against Trump and his associates? Or did they sweep it all under the rug?" he continued.

Um.

McAuliffe was under investigation by the FBI for his private business ties before he became governor in 2014. The governor's lawyers confirmed that the bureau was probing him over alleged violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. McAuliffe insisted throughout the investigation that he never illegally lobbied for any foreign government. McAuliffe was a major fundraiser for Clinton while he was president.
Teneo, the firm mentioned in the case update, has close ties to both Bill and Hillary Clinton, and its owner, Doug Band, is a close ally of the political couple. He worked for then-President Clinton in the White House Counsel's office. After the government, he became a central figure in Bill Clinton's post-presidency, helping to set up the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative.
A leaked memo showed that Band helped organize an aggressive strategy for President Clinton's paid speaking engagements and consulting work while his wife served as President Barack Obama's secretary of state, the Washington Post reported. Band came under scrutiny from Republicans for how Band encouraged Teneo's clients to contribute to the Clinton Foundation.

Gaza is a hopeless s-hole, because of its population, which will bring forth some other kind of Hamas (perhaps less noxious, more secular), or perhaps (better) be balkanized with various clans ruling different areas. This is already somewhat the case, with a few prominent clans already armed up and "taking over" their areas (= controlling "humanitarian aid", plus the lucrative trades like cigarettes etc).

This isn't like the completely meaningless tweak with eye-wink the US did with Japan in 1945. Hamas is either disarmed, or it isn't. Don't think they'll willingly go that route, which is the minimum for Israel of course (I wouldn't either, now, in their situation - they'll be eaten alive by various other paramilitaries and parts of the gen pop).

Problem is that Israel has only several options here. No country wants Gazans so that is strike one and trying to force them on other nations like Egypt is likely to cause another Middle East war.

Israel tried occupying Gaza for decades and that ended up as a costly failure with the Intifada leading to withdrawal, and killing 1.2 million Gazans won't happen because of external reaction.

So if annihilation or ethnic cleansing is off the table, that leaves repeating an occupation that did not work in the first time which caused the whole two states bullshit to bubble up in the UN as a solution.

So Trump is trying an out of the box idea to make the Gazans so wealthy that they become Singapore or something. Don't think it will work in the long run but at worst it means that Arab nations will be smeared with crap if it doesn't making them less likely to act as conduits for Iranian troublemaking.

1) They administer Gaza themselves, which they have done before and which they HATED doing, because it dragged down morale and readiness in the armed forces which was relegated to full time police duty with a population that hated them.

1.The "justification" for both WWII warring nations was gone by the end of the wars.

I'm a LTC in a State Guard, and have seen many title X activations. Typically, it's very limited in scope, so the Adjutant General (head general of the state guard) wouldn't be part of the order. Even if he was included, you couldn't relieve him from his job as TAG (The Adjutant General...a dumb acronym). It's technically a State job appointments by the governor. Technically doesn't even have to be a military member.

No, there is some sort of scriptural imperative that makes Israel believe there is a sacred duty to return even the dead hostages from captivity. Israel's unwillingness to just be done with this and smash Hamas is what keeps putting them in these situations (not for a second saying its Israel's "fault", but merely reminding that when a behavior is rewarded it will be repeated).
