Democrats' shutdown crusade is deeply out of touch with voters

By 62% to 38%, the public expects the Democrats to lose the shutdown stunt.

Most Americans want Democrats to end their disastrous government shutdown, according to a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll.
It comes as service members and federal employees are set to miss their next paycheck, critical food assistance for low-income women and children is in dire jeopardy, states are staring down an economic catastrophe, and layoffs could be imminent -- all because of Democrats' sick push to give illegal aliens free health care.

Here are the key results:
70% oppose the government shutdown.
65% say Democrats should accept Republicans' clean, nonpartisan continuing resolution.
62% say Republicans "will win the government shutdown."
55% say Democrats are "just trying to please their base."

On Israel: 74% oppose the Tucker-Candace-Democrat-Antifa pro-Hamas position.

- 69% of @TheDemocrats oppose @realDonaldTrump's 21-point peace plan that has been accepted by Israel and is being pushed by all of the Arab states. The plan calls for the release of all hostages, Hamas disarming and leaving power, Palestinians remaining in Gaza, rebuilding Gaza, and an Arab peacekeeping force to come in and buoy a Palestinian government structure.

4th Occupation has been tried and failed before in Gaza and hinting about taking the West Bank is simply pissing off that cauldron of vipers in the camps.

5th, No one wants Gazans in their country for good reason and Israel is unable/unwilling to kill them all due to precedents and history.

Very easily. Booze is usually a big factor. The demographics at a lot of these shows skew young and thuggish. And crowds are always volatile. All it takes is one or two real assholes.

The vids from Slammedenuff are mostly just yuge numbers of people in areas that can't accommodate them. I didn't see any really bad conduct.

My husband was able to go to see Rush at the MGM grand maybe about 20 years ago, I didn't want to go and he and about 4 other guys had front row, center seats and he really liked the show.

I like Rush quite a bit.
I'd say Presto onward marks a downturn in overall album quality. I really liked Presto and Roll the Bones when they were released, but I find them pretty lackluster compared to earlier stuff these days. After that, I basically only like a song here and there.

Three and four person bands used synths to extend their sound, especially for large concert halls and stadiums. Too expensive for most groups (and too expensive for a lot of fans to pay for) to tour with a bunch of additional musicians to duplicate the sounds on their album.

Now the tech is there, new bands have disappeared off the hit charts simply because a singer with session players at best or a backing track at worst are what is being offered to the people. All due to minimizing costs and maximizing revenue.

There are arguments that rock supplanted big bands in part due to generation and in part due to reduced costs for smaller bands to tour, etc.

While the baseline was iconic (hence its use as the show's intro theme), the rest of the song is pretty underwhelming. I couldn't even really remember how it went and had to look up the name "My City Was Gone'.

But fortunately in a world of recorded sounds, you can always go back to hear bands including live shows at the height of their powers . Personally I prefer that sort of nostalgia better than going to live shows with disappointing sound to me.

Not necessarily. I bag on Geddy Lee's voice because in his higher register it's worse than nails on a chalkboard to my ears. But there are a few songs with him singing in his lower register that I actually like. Cold Fire is on my play list. Roll the Bones is another.
