In Portland, Anti-ICE/Antifa Rioters Attack Conservative Journalist Nick Sortor;
The Portland Police Arrest Sortor and Leave the Antifa Rioters Free

Trump must declare a state of insurrection and assume control over all of Oregon's police forces.

This is Civil War.

The police's pretext for arresting Sortor...? His car was parked at a meter and he was nine minutes late in putting in more quarters. Probably being beaten by Antifa caused the delay.

ick Sortor
@nicksortor

🚨 BREAKING: Attorney General Pam Bondi has ORDERED a full investigation, led by Asst. AG Harmeet Dhillon, of the Portland Police Bureau, following my wrongful arrest last night, Bondi confirmed to me.

FAFO, @PortlandPolice.

@AGPamBondi personally called me to deliver this news, and I'm incredibly grateful to her for doing so.

The Trump DOJ WILL NOT allow Portland Police to continue to do the bidding of Antifa.

AAGHarmeetDhillon
@AAGDhillon

57m
Acting at the direction of our @AGPamBondi, we @CivilRights
have launched an investigation into Portland, OR's highly questionable police practices. Stay tuned. We will not leave the people of Portland at the whims of criminals and woke cops. Govern yourselves accordingly!

We need more than that. We need Oregon to be declared to be in a state of insurrection, with their police put under control of a federal administrator.

Meanwhile, an Antifa rioters waving a heavy poll with an Antifa flag on it deliberately bashed Katie Daviscourt in the face, giving her a black eye.

The police refused to arrest the rioter, whom Antifa quickly escorted away to an Antifa safe house the police know about and treat like the inviolable embassy of a sovereign nation. When asked why they were letting the violent terrorist escape, police told Daviscourt it would be too dangerous to arrest the terrorist.

This cannot go on.

This cannot go on.

This cannot go on.

Related: The SPLC, which inspired a far-left terrorist attack on the Family Research Council by designating them a "hate group" and pinpointing their offices on a map, has been disowned by the Trump-led FBI.

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL--The FBI has confirmed that it severed all ties to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a far-left activist group that puts conservatives and Christians on a "hate map" along with Ku Klux Klan chapters. The "hate map" has inspired at least one terrorist attack against a conservative organization.

"The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine," FBI Director Kash Patel told The Daily Signal in a statement Friday. "Their so-called hate map has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence."

"That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership," Patel added.

The Daily Signal depends on the support of readers like you. Donate now

The FBI confirmed that it has no intelligence products from the SPLC and does not engage in contact or information sharing with the SPLC.

The statement comes days after Patel told Fox News Digital that the FBI had severed ties with the Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish nonprofit that opposes antisemitism but also leans left and condemns critics of transgender ideology.

14 Obama's DoJ loved to go in to cities that dated actually arrest criminals, and claimed their police department was racist and had to be investigated by the DoJ and eventually put under a type of conservatorship by a communist board that hated police.

Trump needs to use that same protect to go in to Portland and have their police department investigated for trampling on the civil rights of people like Nick, Andy Ngo and Katie Daviscourt, and use that as raining to take over the department, fire everyone involved, and then staffed with only the biggest, chadiest, national guard members, until the five is rebuilt under the watch of Erik Prince.

I doubt anyone in the Portland police wants the best for the world, they are just lefties who were given these jobs to help build a liberal protection squad.

This is very bad.

So my question is, does this trace back to Clinton and his 100,000 police programs? Is he at the root of this corruption? What role did Obama play, or is it all just local corruption and commies.

Sadly, you can say that over and over and over. But the reality is that it can and will go on.

This should have been done when that Black woman who lived in the neighborhood asked the police to get Antifa to stop blaring noise all night so she and others could get some sleep. 98 At the time of Taney's death in 1864, he was widely reviled in the North, and Lincoln declined to make a public statement in response to his death. He continues to have a controversial historical reputation, and his Dred Scott ruling is widely considered to be the worst Supreme Court decision ever made.
Posted by: pookysgirl had to look it up
=====
Yes. I used to teach Dred Scott as a perfect example of unprincipled judicial activism. The decision was so bad it took three constitutional amendments to fix because back then it was assumed we would amend the Constitution rather than rely on judicial diktats.

FWIW prior to that horrendous decision, Taney actually had a decent reputation as a jurist.

The Fuller Court around the turn of the 1900's was one though that was equally bad--Wong Ark Kim, Pollock v. Farmers Loan and Trust, Plessy v. Ferguson, Lochner, E.C. Knight, and other horrendously bad decision rendered by mostly corporate practice lawyers. Subsequent Scotus court decisions by future courts had to crawfish away from those decisions over time.

One is the money
Two is the liberal colleges
Three is that it always was a center of power brokers who were looking for wealth and political influence
Three it has always been corrupt
Four it is a port which means it is a chokepoint for skimming
Six -- If you want to listen to the neo-LaRouchites -- it is part of the strategy of splitting up the USA by rebellion, and holding the major Pacific, Atlantic and Great Lakes ports to strangle the inner states of resources

But mostly it has always been corrupt, just in the past it was creating monopolies, drugs and prostitution.

That last one is the smallest group. I have read multiple accounts from these people who think it will be cool and come away horrified and repulsed. Most of the membership are drug addicts living in hovels or even literally homeless who come out at night to get some food and money and join the violence blaming everyone else for their woes.

Putting aside Soros money-funded graft in high places and that some of those Portland police officers are undoubtedly Antifa infiltrators, I would guess many of those officers are in fear for themselves and their families. They don't wear masks. They no doubt carry numbered badges and wear uniform name tags.

The Left wouldn't be so strident in demanding ICE and other federal agents unmask if that intimidation tactic hadn't previously proven effective at local and state levels.

218 197 While we're revisiting notoriously jug-headed Supreme Court decisions, let's not forget Wickard v. Filburn, in which the Court ruled (unanimously!) that growing wheat on your own farm for your own personal use was somehow "interstate commerce".

Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia
-----
You should really blame Scalia for not killing that precedent in Raich case aka medical marijuana. The four other conservatives on the court were ready to junk it while the four liberals wanted to keep it of course. Scalia hated drugs more than he liked a proper limit to the Commerce clause.

Wickard was in the midst of WWII where the OPM ran the government and basically that particular court was not about to be blamed (nor was the Taney court during the Civil War) to limit government power during a general war.

Sometime read the Prize cases for how Taney and the court majority ignore the issue of war as justification for seizure of ships.

Any good cop show will show you how the cop sphere exists beneath the sphere of politics.

If that sphere is corrupt enough, it doesn't matter how much corruption is in the actual police force.

However, it does encourage gain-seeking as a reason to remain a cop--and the ranks of cops have plenty assholes and power-trippers to begin with.

245 “ Those reddit assholes are perfectly fine with people getting shot for their speech so being tuned up by their thugs is just fine with them.”

The people who truly believe in liberty, freedom and adherence to the social contract are almost always the last people to the fight. That’s because they remain faithful to a system that, when it works properly, results in ordered liberty based on The Bill of Rights. Right now those people are siting on the side, smiling to a degree, that things are moving in the right direction. That’s to the benefit of those currently trying to subvert our country, because if those on the side get involved, they will take out the trash like many of them have done around the world.

There are also a lot of people on the other side, the people running the chaos, funding the destruction and undermining the justice system, exposing who they are for all to see. Leaving them alone has enabled their continuity across administrations. That’s ending as we smoke people further up the chain. We have a fight ahead of us, for sure. But the momentum is currently on our side.

And this is exactly how you get a Hitler. When the vast majority of normal citizens are endlessly abused by a corrupt system - and the Antifa/conspirators are a central cog - those normal citizens demand alternate solutions when the authorities remain derelict or complicit. When a "strongman" sees this populist anger, that's the opening for the strongman to intervene. And he will do so with popular support.

The Progressive Left, DNC, Antifa, BLM, MFM et al are creating the very scenario that will force a strongman - "Hitler" as it were - to take over. They say they don't want a Hitler; their actions prove otherwise.

291 There is *nothing* for the House *to do*. This is being held up in the Senate.

In Obama's last shut down the Republican House worked night and day on several versions of bills to continue funding government and Harry Reid occasionally would peak over the transom and say "Dead on arrival". And the last one DOA was giving Obama EVERYTHING HE HAD ASKED FOR, because he now wanted more funding, about 33% more.

Do not take the Demedia bait. The House has passed their bill. The Democrats in the Senate are refusing cloture on the Senate passing it.

Posted by: Axeman at October 03, 2025 04:36 PM (krQz2)

Technically, they could work on the 13 individual budget bills b/c I'm not sure they've passed them all. Or any (I'd have to check).

But for once, the House is united with the Senate and prez on message - give Trump, Thune, and Johnson a lot of credit on that. Dems must pass the CR before ANYTHING else happens in Congress.

Probably means we're getting an omnibus later, but winning this battle matters more than that eventual one...

Chaz, by far, was the most fun for me to watch for a few days, when they tried to form their own government and people were speaking on camera to be the "leader." Grand poohbah. I have no idea but it was hysterical as there was closed captioning. One really wasted guy yapped about weird stuff and they were too polite to get the mic back from him. I voted for him to be the leader.

One Indian lady (ok, "native American") was telling a sad story (for uknown reasons to me) about her sister and gave her native name. Closed captioning said it was "My Pretty Pony" and I came close to expiring I was choke laughing so hard.

Their free commune garden then became raciss with little cardboard signs saying "Blacks Only." One garden had a pineapple on a row and I guess they thought it would begin sprouting anyday now. A guy wrote about it and it was hilarious and I wish I had kept it...with photos.

Yeah, I think we need clarification on who is calling the shots. It's obviously coming out of City Hall (and not a direct connection between the Cops and ANTIFA). The Mayor, likely, in issuing directives to City Council got Bob Day into the Chief of Police slot. He was approved in a unanimous vote, which almost never happens with a white man for an urban civil service position unless agreements were made up front on how he would act in the position. Additionally, he's a 29 year veteran of the PPD that bounced all over the place before becoming acting Chief. Apparently an opportunist whose time had come. This kind of thing always reminds me of a fascinating letter from the late 5th century, possibly in the Vatican museum (I forget) It's from a Roman nobleman returning to his villa in France writing back after spending time with his kinsman in Rome. He says that it's a shame they had to take a boat, since most of the roads were getting too bad to travel on, and that they now had to worry about brigands and groups of barbarians trying to attack travelers and even the villas sometimes. And he wished that the government back in Rome would get around to doing something about how everything seemed to be falling apart; but in the end he was sure it all would turn out to be ok, and stayed living in his villa.

And he wished that the government back in Rome would get around to doing something about how everything seemed to be falling apart; but in the end he was sure it all would turn out to be ok, and stayed living in his villa.

Well, the guy obviously could not see the destruction all around until it got around to him. That being said, until the Merovingians got in full power, there were far worse places after Rome collapsed than France.

350 It is the only refinery remaining in CA I think
20% of their gasoline comes from that refinery, and 40% of the jet fuel.
If other state refineries refuse to blend California required mix, then I have no idea what they are going to do.
Posted by: Kindltot at October 03, 2025 04:45 PM (rbvCR)

There were 13 refineries in California, now there's 12. When Valero's Benicio refinery closed in April, there will be 11. When Wilmington closes next year, there will be 10. Those 3 account for 40% of California's refining capacity.

$10 gas may be the minimum price there by this time next year.

Btw as to whether the explosion needed any sabotage to happen - the El Segundo refinery was originally buiilt in 1913 - it's been maintained and upgraded, but it's still ancient. Remember that everything in a refinery is high pressured, at high temperature, and explosive. All it takes is for one mechanical system out of thousands on site to go bad, and BOOM.

2 tsp B. powder
2 cup flout

I find it true that the plandemic and face masks have increased insanity, possibly by breathing their own CO2...but 15 masks has taken it further.

I don't know why they had to land. I kept a mildly psycho woman calm once in the back of a 767 because I did not want to be late for dinner. The lead flight attendant, after I decided I could handle her, and discussed it with the pilot and the ground. paid me in gin. She was just weird and throwing beads around.

Perhaps the gays were afraid, otherwise I'd tie him to his seat and threaten to take off his masks if he did not shut up. There! Problem solved.

426 Re "Child molesters get 6 months":

That's exactly the sentence that a megachurch pastor recently received for molesting a child in the 1980s.

Said pastor is also paying six figures in damages and doing a lot of community service, but still, good effing grief.

427 402 There was a montage of pictures and videos of a Portland Antifa goon picked up by the cops a night or two ago. Once stripped of his/her/its "war garb" was a shaking, stuttering little piece of wet shit.

You bet. It's not just the farmers. Truckers and oil workers also tend to be on the conservative side. Likewise plumbers, electricians, and most of the other trades that keep civilization going so the leftoids can sit around sipping espresso and thinking Deep Thoughts.

447 The most ancient refinery in Houston closed recently. The Lyondale refinery was initiated in 1918 as a Sinclair facility and ended it's days as a Citco operation. It was known for being the only US refinery that would process the heavy Venezuelan crude. It produced over 1/4 million barrels/day. Now several other smaller local refineries do that.

448 The left makes such a big deal out of Trump sending in the Guard, but they were completely silent when Obama took over the policing in 15 cities with his infamous consent decrees. So the federal govt took over the police departments of 15 cities.

Shows you that the media is really on the other side.

450 I looked up the 15 masked man saying gheys were giving him cancer and forcing a plan to land. The plane was from MN/St Paul en route to Newark NJ, which explains a lot.

Between bouts of Candy Crush (I had to look this up) he would erupt in the yelling. And, he did have 15masks on at one time. The eruption of the "plane going down" was what finally did it. I honestly think I could have subdued him and kept the plane going, and I don't get paid for being a flight attendant, but I have done this twice before as I did not want to land and deplane over a lunatic who did not seem dangerous to others.

I think the airline was "Sun Airline" or one I had never heard of. Bonkers. How do they let someone wearing 15masks onboard to begin with? Crikey.
