The Morning Report — 10/2/25

Schumerthumbs.jpg

Good morning kids. Well the Schumer shutdown is on, and despite the best efforts of the Leftist propagandists, it seems that the attempt to blame President Trump and the GOP is not working. Whether the public's perception that the Democrats brought this on themselves remains to be seen. But that said, the image of Schumer himself reacting to the shutdown by mugging for the camera with two thumbs up has got to be one of the stupidest moves by any politician in recent memory. And as that evil bastard has been around the block for decades, you'd think he'd know better. Hubris and diminishing geriatric brain function is a lethal combination and he's given the GOP a political advert that bookends nicely with that repulsive criminal hag Maxine Waters boasting about giving illegal aliens free healthcare or else she'd be leading the charge to shutdown the government.

Even the inept RNC can't screw up these horrendous self-owns by the Democrats and while nothing is ever certain in politics, the Democrat cheat machine notwithstanding, their prospects for the 2026 midterms, which are just over a year away (which of course is both around the corner and an eternity) are not looking rosy to say the least. Even New Jersey which is about as strong a commie redoubt as there is anywhere in the country might actually be in play for the GOP to snag the governor's mansion. All of the aforementioned caveats for sure are in effect. But a couple of high profile things are making the road to Trenton tough going for this Mikie Sherill. As of today, she and GOP challenger Jack Citarelli are running almost neck and neck. I'm sure CBD will be along at any moment to reassure us that crooked Bergen County will have a fleet of Buick LeSabres primed and ready to deliver trunkloads of Democrat ballots at just the right moment.

Also, the prospects of attractive and accomplished Winsome Earle Sears to beat horrendous harridan Abigail Spanberger in Virginia's gubernatorial race are also on the rise.

And elsewhere as CBD and I discussed on the latest episode of the podcast, linked here and in the sidebar, as well as the usual outlets listed below, Secretary of WAR Pete Hegseth with encouragement and the blessings of his and our Commander-in-Chief is purging the vestiges of the poisonous rot of DEI within the military and restoring the morale and effectiveness from the top brass down through the ranks. And thank God for that, given the situation in the world today vis a vis the Chi-Coms, Iran and global Islam as well as their third-world hangers on that hate America with equal fervor and are more than willing to take pot shots at us at their behest or of their own accord.

Hegseth himself summed it up perfectly by declaring

"No More Dudes in Dresses!"

I assume that he was referencing the sickening debasement that is or please God was Admiral Richard/Rachel Levine. How many more Bitter literal KLINGERS (with apologies to Jamie Farr) are there in the ranks and when will they all be section 8-ed the hell out?! Of course one or more Hawaiian judges are ready to impose their will on us and declare such a move null and void.

Beyond those aforementioned threats, there's also the alien chest-burster gnawing the guts of Uncle Sam himself from within that must be utterly eradicated with absolutely no mercy.

Now is the time for full government action, and we've seen the deployments. I love the deployments. I love seeing Border Patrol out there doing what they're doing every single night. But we need to get proactive. We need to absolutely get proactive about this.

And what better place to do that than Portland? We know that Portland is one of the hot spots, probably the biggest hot spot. It's the only place, right? It's the only place in the whole country where the left has no leg to stand on whatsoever when they say Antifa doesn't exist, because the Portland chapter of Antifa has existed for 20 years. . . But when you have these poisonous, sick, cancerous elements in it, they must be treated like a disease, and the disease must be fought. The Cancer must be cut out. It must be eradicated. It must be wiped clean. And that's what we're going to do, folks, we're going to wipe them clean.

Again, whether the Democrat Party directly or indirectly funds Antifa, having them as your de facto good squads benefits them politically. And everything the Democrats do ultimately serves the cause of destroying the American nation and society as it was founded and intended to be. 200-plus years of history with rivers of blood and wastage of human life and potential is self-evident for all but the deaf, dumb and blind.

Sad to say, but it's us or them. You are either with us or you're with the terrorists. Who comes out on top and how the war is to be fought remains to be seen — the Left's eagerness and willingness to subvert the rule of law and to encourage and countenance violence and terrorism to all who oppose them is where we are at.

Also, I note that Kash Patel told the ADL to gey kocken affin yom! loosely translated from Yiddish, go shit in the ocean. (basically a polite way of saying go "F" yourself

“James Comey disgraced the FBI by writing ‘love letters’ to the ADL and embedding agents with an extreme group functioning like a terrorist organization and the disgraceful operation they ran spying on Americans. That was not law enforcement, it was activism dressed up as counterterrorism, and it put Americans in danger,” said Patel.

Like everything else that is infested with Leftists, it ultimately rots and dies. The ADL whose original intention was to call out and protect Jews from anti-semitism and other minorities from discrimination lost its way long ago and became cheerleaders and propagandists for some of the most noxious and extreme anti-American individuals and organizations while sliming conservatives and Christians as Jew-haters and so forth. Ironically it is conservatives and Christians who are the staunchest defenders of Jews and Israel while the Left falls all over itself to throw us into a mass grave, sadly Jews by birth only as its most vocieferous cheerleaders.

Now to dismantle the ACLU and SPLC with extreme prejudice. For far too long those hotbeds of Leftism have been used to legitimize and give cover to attack and demonize anyone and anything even red pubic hair's width to the right of Fidel Castro. Their ill-gotten status as defenders of freedom, plurality and the American way has got to be smashed once and for all.

Have a good day!

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

  • Victor Davis Hanson: Trump, unlike the UN, is brokering cease-fires and curbing threats by wielding U.S. power through trade, leverage, and force—favoring deals over endless wars.
From the League of Nations to the United Nations to Trump Global?
  • They walked in thinking they could weaponize chaos for political points, but the plan is unraveling fast. Republicans were ready for this fight, while Democrats are now scrambling to justify to the American people why they chose cheap political theatrics over keeping the government running. Reports already show cracks forming inside their caucus, and the longer this drags on, the uglier it looks for them.

21 It's the only place in the whole country where the left has no leg to stand on whatsoever when they say Antifa doesn't exist, because the Portland chapter of Antifa has existed for 20 years

They’ve been around longer than that in Portland and Seattle.

Of course they were known more as ‘Anarchists’ back in the day.

As far back as 1999 they all became famous for “The Battle of Seattle” where the Anarchists sent out the Black Blocs during the WTO meeting there to protest and riot and destroy anything with a corporate logo on it.

Same people and groups, they’ve just changed their names to Antifacsist.

The Pacific Northwest has always been a socialist stronghold, but the Antifa/Anarchist groupscreally took off after some infamous incidents involving skinheads in the 80s and 90s.

I think Portland could be a litmus test of sorts. It's more or less Antifa's home turf, base of operations, whatever. If Trump can, via the National Guard neuter them there it would be quite the signal to the other Antifa chapters.

It's also a test for Trump's anti-crime push. Portland is all about the Antifa terrorists, not specifically your run-of-the-mill thug crime like the capitol city or, say, Chicago.

The Antifa thugs haven't had any sort of push-back. At all.

He asked if there was anything he could do to fix any work-related concerns I might have.

He asked me three times to reconsider, including stating that he would do anything in his power to help me get into any group I wanted.

We also asked me to delay announcing my departure to the department at large until they had a transition plan figured out so as to prevent widespread panic. I laughed at that.

Then we discussed nuts-and-bolts stuff. I've known him pretty much since he started at the company so the whole thing was pretty amicable.

Which is an empty gesture considering that all kinds of "threats to the peace and security of the United States" has been responded to by silence, apathy and inaction.

VA will...and Winsome had been doing better than expected in early voting here...

It's why the VA Senators have not caved...I assume they (and MD) will wait for VA to go fully blue. NoVA early voting wave starts Oct 23 (runs til Nov 1) - this is when they go from 3 open sites to 16 open sites, so this may last that long if Winsome stays strong over the next few weeks of early voting...

IIRC, the age group the Dems do best with at the moment is seniors. The seniors most likely to support the Dems are, probably, also the seniors most likely to be too afraid of actually going to the doctor. The Dems voted down an option to give that specific group a benefit in favor of a stronger shutdown.

Now, the media is tell those people that it's all Trump's fault and maybe that'll work but the fact that Trump has every government agency pinning the blame on the Democrats, and you have Thumbs Upchuck, it could be that they'll lose ground with that demographic as well.

Iran in Crisis
Unrelenting drought conditions in Iran have now become so critical that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned the public that excessive water consumption could push the capital into crisis. "In Tehran, if we cannot manage and people do not cooperate in controlling consumption, there won't be any water in dams by September or October."

146 New York is being overrun by illegal aliens. As other states crack down and strip any public benefits, New York has doubled down on handouts for non citizens. They are even incentivizing the schools to take illegal immigrants by giving them more funding for each on they take. New York also still has illegal immigrants on their healthcare system, which is being subsidized by the federal government. The do it by hiding the citizenship status of the enrollees, something that will end once they lose the lawsuit that’s currently stopping HHS from getting that information. Once that shoe drops, it’s going to be a downward spiral for New York. They are already in fiscal trouble and the federal government keeps stripping their boondoggles one at a time. It’s going to be something to see- from a distance if you can.

1. Cares Act in 21 gave out billions for people to get Obamacare.
2. Obamacare does not requires legal immigration documentation.
3. Inflation Reduction Act in 22 added 2 more years (thru fiscal 25 or 2 days ago).
4. In total added about 9 to 10 million to Obamacare.
5. Around 28 to 35% of illegals have some type of health care coverage.

182 Well finally the gop has actually shut down the government. They all must be high. Especially trying to pin the blame on us!

Eventually, we have to provide the votes. I just think sooner rather than later. A government shut down hurts the people we're trying to protect, federal employees. We must always keep in mind that Republicans love a shut down.

Your answer is to just capitulate? Then the republicans would continue to push for more. It is time to make a stand and the polls are showing that the majority are support dems on this extremely important issue.

The end game is not to give up Democratic votes for nothing, when the alternative is a continuation of horrible policies. They need to concede what we want: leave healthcare costs alone and release the Epstein files.

much as I respect Schumer and Jeffries, we're not winning the propaganda battle, and whatever they're trying to do isn't sticking. The only thing left to do is to cut some Dems loose, let them pass a CR, and when the ACA credits run out, and healthcare prices spike as they're expected to, beat the Republicans over the head with it for the next 12 months.

The average compensation of federal workers far outstrips their private sector peers with the additional perk of making them almost impossible to fire no matter how bad they are. And they almost universally work against our interests.

I've done startups for most of my career and I have gone years between paying myself with no guarantee I will ever get paid unless the company works. These people might be inconvenienced for a couple weeks at which time they will get all the money paid back.

My sympathy meter for federal employees broke long ago and I have no interest in fixing it.

From what I'm seeing, Trump has so far threaded the needle on this pretty well. Chicago, Portland, etc can have high crime hellholes throughout the city, but they can't attack Federal facilities and officers engaging in immigration (primarily) enforcement operations. It doesn't appear they're patrolling, stopping random crimes in neighborhoods; they're defending Federal buildings, and arresting the Antifa assholes interfering with them, because the local cops won't.

The states and cities can choose to be lawless, to a degree, but Federal authority has to be maintained.

For 40 years, have put *no* effort into maintaining or upgrading these nationwide systems since they took power, and now they are all falling apart.
Iran is an area that has had many, many droughts over the last 2500 years. Ancient but advanced water control systems always helped them to weather these, but now those systems are decrepit and failing.
And that ‘s why Iran says it is all the fault of the News.

While it no doubt sucks for anyone who was just hired, any long-term federal employee who is not prepared to withstand an extended shutdown has no one to blame but themselves.

Meh. A lot of them were just retiring early, and got other jobs. I view protestors (and least the violent, concerning Antifa ones) as unemployed 20-30 something Leftist losers leaching off family and easily manipulated by the siren song of socialism.

Although, the huge surge in elderly people at the more peaceful rallies (like No Kings) is hilarious. Get those Boomers out of the home for a few hours in the sun to relive their glory days of protest in the 60s-70s! Whatever Dem activist came up with the idea was a genius!

It's entirely possible it has the opposite effect. People go where things are free (as in "without cost"), or at least easier.

Mamdani will make NYC the opposite of easier to live in. And "free" is irrelevant when there's none to be had. There's no price tag for six legged elephants.

Urban D machines rely on gimmedats and criminals. Trump is splitting the gimmedats who while wanting goodies, they don't like the violent criminals. The violent criminals while Big Fed is around lose business (drug sales money) and that affects contributions to Big D in bribes, etc. The criminal factions are also the footsoldiers I suspect in padding the ballots. After all, election fraud is a slap on the wrist compared with the other crimes they commit on a daily basis and they are constantly revolving between jail, prison, and the streets.

So crack the Big D base wide open and you get less election fraud and gimmedats might not be as enthusiastic to vote for D (they won't vote R but might just stay home).

Red China does not have ten years. Economy is really beginning to spiral downward there. We have about 110 percent debt to GDP. They have over 300 percent debt to GDP plus accelerated aging of the population.

Somewhat similar to Japan hysteria peaking in the mid 90's while their internal economy was imploding under debt levels and aging pop, China is following that path with the additional burden of massive corruption and pissing off all its neighbors by its arrogant actions.

252 From what I'm seeing, Trump has so far threaded the needle on this pretty well.

Poland by shutting the main rail route through Russia and Belarus for Chinese EU imports highlights the risk. Other places soured as Chinese build shoddy products and left enormous debts for governments like Kenya for example with their rail system.

Basically Chinese don't really understand infrastructure investment as in China itself (or Soviet Union in the past), these projects are built for prestige but not via cost benefit analysis. Thus, often really shoddy construction, pissing off local populace because of Chinese guest workers get the jobs, and the local government becomes impoverished as the projects don't pay for debt service nor always are functional enough.

258 A Newburgh resident expecting an Amazon delivery of rice, paper plates and a toy lightsaber instead opened a box to find 250 state election ballots.

The discovery raised alarms about election security, leading the Maine Republican Party Chairman to call for a federal criminal investigation as the state is mere weeks from deciding on whether it will join 36 other states in requiring some form of Vote ID.

The package arrived Tuesday looking beat up and re-taped, as if tampered with. Inside, along with household items, were bundles of ballots packaged in tamper-evident packs of 50 — the same format used for official shipments to local clerks. Election officials who reviewed photographs confirmed the documents appear to be authentic 2025 ballots.

In part, "Gov. Josh Shapiro signed an executive order Wednesday that empowers several state agencies with the authority to make decisions on shots for diseases like COVID-19, chickenpox, hepatitis B and more.

“I want trained professionals who know science to be empowered to guide you,” Shapiro told patients and health care providers at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “I do not want you to be guided by someone like RFK Jr. who I believe is wholly unqualified to give medical advice and who is restricting our freedoms here in Pennsylvania and across the country.”

That includes an estimated 1.5 million children across the commonwealth, state officials said."

Also, "Coverage for people enrolled in Medicaid - which is jointly funded by state and the federal government - will also continue throughout the rest of this year and some of next year, according to CMS."

Read the ^ article, if interested. Everything is just fine.

But also see, Telehealth HHS gov - Telehealth policy updates

Behavioral health

In reality, the 'shutdown' is about temporary Medicare telehealth flexibilities in place during the COVID-19 'public health emergency' & extended through at least Sep. 30, 2025.

Don't want to revert back to certain physician fees and/or the in-person visit requirement extended until Jan. 1, 2026, for mental health services furnished via communication technology to beneficiaries in their homes? That's too bad. It's more than time to tighten up on program fraud.

Featured is US Representative Madeleine Dean (PA-D), another Pennsylvania unpleasantry, imo of course, who must need the press.

Like many in Congress, she's under her maiden name. Her political connections seemed to have come about from hubby's family connections. IDK. One son was senior writer and deputy director of messaging in the Obama-Biden administration.

Her immediate family is - and has been - involved in the import (China, Taiwan, etc.) bicycle industry. As such, it's not unusual for a family member to carp in the press about a Trump administration law creating problems such as, but not limited to, tariffs that could affect family business ventures. But with such privilege, it's always boring at best, as is her drama.

BTW, it really heats up when she goes duo with US Representative Mary Gay Scanlon, PA-D.

Kathy Barnett would have been a thousand times better than Dean, serving PA as a whole.
