ICE officers will be at the Super Bowl, Homeland Security Dept. says
https://t.co/sQdZcSs5DQ Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will attend the 2026 Super Bowl, where Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny is set to headline the halftime show, according to Corey Lewandowski, an advisor at the Department of Homeland Security. “There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else,” Lewandowski said Wednesday on “The Benny Show.” “We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to what how it used to be,” he said... Lewandowski, who worked as Trump’s campaign manager during the 2016 election, slammed the NFL for picking Bad Bunny to headline the event next year. “It’s so shameful that they’ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game,” he said Posted by: BetaCuck4Lyfe at October 01, 2025 07:56 PM (9aVck) 63
To equate "Jews" as "God's Chosen people" is a distortion.
This is some actual Biblical history: Israel was designated as God's portion, and only 1 of 12 tribes of that nation were significant by the time the temple was destroyed gave the root of the name "Jews". The 10 tribes of the Northern Kingdom were utterly scattered and fully absorbed into the surrounding cultures. "Jew" comes from "Judah" which seemed to protect the remnant of Benjamin which still diminished from the clash at the closing chapter of Judges. And of course, one would expect that the Levite cities of Judah, probably remained. Now, when I say it's a distortion, I don't mean it's anathema or even a deceit, I mean just that it ignores what can be said with accuracy. That many of the "chosen people" were scattered to the wind centuries before the Temple fell in Judah, the prophesied tribe of the Messiah. Posted by: Axeman at October 01, 2025 07:56 PM (krQz2) 64

Baseball has some silly foibles. Don Zimmer was last a player on October 2, 1965, yet he wore a uniform until he was 83 years old when he passed on. In baseball for 65 years, never got a paycheck outside the sport. I guess Casey Stengel was still in uniform until age 75 or so too.

With men who are generally overloaded with lust, I can kinda understand how it gets warped and corrupted into going after the weak and helpless to resist. But women, who just have to drop their drawers to get as many low life men as they want? I don’t get it.

Taste in movies is an interesting thing. I tried to get my father to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Genuine no-shit scooter trash bikers - Harley riders - were documented fairly well by Hunter Thompson. They were not nice people. They did have a code, of sorts. I did like the philosophical contrapuntal phrase Sonny Barger had, head of the Hell’s Angels club - “Treat me good I’ll treat you better. Treat me bad, I’ll treat you worse.” Can’t really find too much fault with that.

You can still ride a harley and wear a vest and sunglasses, just don't join an outlaw club. Those are indeed the 1%ers. Most biker bars and shops don't allow people flying colors. Come in a civilian, or don't come in.
*** I rode a Harley, in leathers, and wasn't a 1%er. No one likes to ride with them and lots of bars will not allow them in. They drink in their own places. The bulldog, who was pretending to poop his playdough, Einstein. N way he took little poodle girl to a farm and they danced and sang, and made the cows neck longer. Billy Joel's "Allentown" is not exactly complimentary of Allentown...you know..."where they're closing all the factories down." But, the PA radio stations sure played that song every half hour when it came out. Posted by: Orson I'm not sure anybody thought it was complimentary. Billy Joel, unlike Springsteen, can sing clearly enough you can understand what he is saying. The song was clearly about the sad decline of an industrial city. It was just very catchy. When I was a kid growing up outside Boston the mob was big in both Boston and Providence. More like mobs. The Departed was loosely based on Whitey Bulger. He ran the Winter Hill Gang. Whitey was constantly battling with the mafia both in Boston and Providence just like the movie. At the same time his brother Billy was President of the MA Senate and by far the most powerful politician in Massachusetts. It sounds crazy or like a movie but it was real. "Born In The USA" actually seems IMHO to have two themes:
(1), American vets aren't treated well enough by the VA and Feds (which I find true); and (2), Kids were only sent to Vietnam for moneyed interests, not to defend any real thing. Springsteen, et al, also have this fantasy that there is NOTHING in any red state except desolation, abusive drunk white men, and poor/scared/beaten women and minorities.
Yeah, I like the blues because they are usually realistic about things but the whole "Allentown" genre of music about how everything is misery and horror in "flyover" "Jesusland" by big city elitists is tough to swallow. At least the Stones had enough honesty to say how crappy it was in the big city. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at October 01, 2025 09:02 PM (dfIr7) 283

Christians are the chosen now.
Suggestion: read scripture But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off. 23 And even they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree. I actually give Billy Joel a bit of a pass. First, he never pretended, at least for very long, to be Mister Hard-workin' Lunchpail. Second, Allentown was pretty much a one-off; Joel's also done songs about how the NY uppercrust suck just as much. See "Big Shot." Finally, Billy Joel's 1984 song "Goodnight Saigon" is truly a song that says thank you to Vietnam vets. It doesn't use them as an excuse to tear down Reagan. Sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine: overflights at sporting events. These teams play in local government-subsidized facilities, with state and federal level tax breaks for their shady leagues, and charge fans through the nose for tickets on top of all that. Then, the federal government does these "paytriotism" stunts where they launch a bunch of aircraft that cost between $40-150k per flight hour over a bowl of drunks watching a ball get knocked around - and in many cases, they *pay the leagues* for the privilege. Nope. Completely leftist trope.
Military aircraft and pilots will fly. They have a budget, and they have to spend it, they are authorized so many flight hours, and pilots have to stay current, and they have to train. It isn’t an “either or” binary thing. As it happens the taxpayers like to see what they are paying for. Would you rather they fly in secret? It’s also good PR. They are still getting good training. And it’s good for Morale, too. Posted by: Common Tater at October 01, 2025 09:23 PM (B8LvX) 353

Plot: To help his old war buddy, who has been left destitute by a nasty divorce, Francis the Talking Mule goes to Mexico to make a series of short films of a very specialized nature. When they discovered the Copyright violation, the studio tracked down and destroyed almost every copy. The only print known to exist is kept sealed in a vault in the Vatican. Her response upon learning of Thumbutt's intent. @GiorgiaMeloni I read with amazement the words of the Flotilla which accuses me of considering unarmed civilians and ships loaded with aid “a danger”. The truth is simple: that aid can be delivered without risk through the secure channels already in place. Insisting on forcing a naval blockade means making oneself - consciously or unconsciously - the instruments of those who want to blow up any possibility of a ceasefire. Living in Wyoming, we know when you see a bear or moose in your yard or walking down the street you stay the *uck away. Everything is not a Disney movie. Posted by: four seasons at October 01, 2025 09:58 PM (3ek7K) 448

I told them it was beautiful and that I learned if the bison are in the road you just get out and slap them in the ass to get them moving.
Works for hookers, but not for bison. Posted by: Cicero (@cicero43) at October 01, 2025 10:00 PM (BHSfo) 453

440. And Jill did not attend, as she had to "babysit" for Joe's kids.
Guess she was already lined up as Joe's 2nd little millionaire and like The Godfather being married to a US Senator was more important. Posted by: L - No nic, another fine day at October 01, 2025 10:00 PM (NFX2v) 456

Gabriele Corno strings together unrelated vids to create the illusion of a single story. In other words, he makes fakes. Watch carefully for changes in animal markings, eye colors, and settings.

Leftists would rather live in filth and misery under another leftist, than in peace and prosperity under a conservative.

Alchemist Diaries: I know that as the Apothecary Diaries from Crunchyroll and the manga. I thought the resolution in the second season was satisfactory: Maomao and Jinshi are definitely a couple. Jinshi wants to avoid the succession, so he doesn’t want to entangle Maomao in further Imperial intrigues. Probably will happen anyway. Did you catch the hint that the traitorous ex-concubine didn’t really die? Of course the children lived too, very ahistorical for Imperial China!
