David Strom, after noting that he is reluctant to engage in the racialist games-playing that is the only reason that Don Lemon has ever had a job:

I challenge him to visit some blocks in South Chicago or some of the sketchier parts of Chicago at night to interview people at night to get the opinions of the street denizens on a busy night to see what they think about that.
As a black man, Don Lemon should be more sensitive to that. He is a member of a demographic group that does not compare well with the one he chose to disparage when it comes to violence. He is confident that he can resort to accusations of racism to silence any white man from shoving his style of accusation back in his face, and in that, I have to say that his confidence is likely based on the unfortunate reality that Americans are unlikely to fight back against his slanders.
It is socially unacceptable to do so, and with reason. It is not a productive way to solve the violence problem we have in many communities.
I, for instance, would hesitate to ask people to look up relevant comparisons between crime rates, academic achievements, IQ, or other possible areas of contrast between various demographic groups that he and his liberal allies seem obsessed with. It might invite accusations of racism--an accusation I will happily hurl at him, given that he is inviting it by being racially obsessed.

Don Lemon is still playing by the Old Rules which have been rejected. The Old Rules say that any black racist can make all the racist attacks on whites that he likes, and be praised for it and protected from criticism or counter-argument by just shouting "racist!" at anyone who notices his racism.

Those are no longer the rules. We've said it before, but this time it's true: The Race Card is now cancelled.

Get called a racist? Honestly, who cares anymore. I certainly don't. That word has been overused to the point of losing all meaning. Irrelevant.

They almost certainly will. As someone pointed out earlier, roughly 5-7% of the Fed workforce retires or leaves in a given year. I'm sure they'd be willing to take a buyout. Add to those people who weren't necessarily planning on leaving, but are induced to by the buyout, and you could be looking at a 10% buyout in a given year. Whether those are the people you want to lose is another question.

Plenty of research has been done on this subject. The main factors appear to be: Number of days in combat, lack of clear distinctions between "front lines" and the safety of the rear, and number of deployments.

One thing they've seen is guys who were deployed once or twice coming home with substantially less PTSD, but once you get to your third deployment, it skyrockets.

I had to laugh at the white female school spokeswoman lecturing the local public about their behavior relative to finding out some imposter was running their school district. She was delivering the lecture on behalf of the school board (which was at least somewhat responsible for his hiring). I think the local public should impeach every single one of them, and anyone involved in personnel for that school district. That is unforgivable.

Also, post 9-11 was a new era of warfare, and we threw men into the churn of the front lines without not paying attention to how this new kind of warfare might be effective on paper, but mess up the men in the long run.

That's another point worth making. Increasingly, flag officers were spending damn near no time on the front lines, and the less they did, the more disconnected they were from the men they sent in there.

I'm sure there are plenty of good men (and women) who had birds and stars on their uniforms, but the system itself made them less accountable to their men, less capable of recognizing the human cost, less able to ignore the soothing sounds in their ears, coming from weapons contractors and psychopath politicians.

Verhoeven never read the book and insisted on making fun of what he imagined the book to be about. It's a satire where the intended target...isn't the actual target.

It reminds me of Boorman's sequel to The Exorcist. Boorman hated the first movie, but I don't think he ever actually finished watching it. He saw it as demeaning to Regan and Linda Blair, but he never engaged with the first film. So...the second film is an attack on the first film which...has no idea what the first film is actually about.

That no tax on tips thing is not what everyone thinks it is. Tips are still taxed and there is a deduction of up to $25,000 the person can claim on reported tips when they file their taxes. I personally know waitresses and bar tenders that make more than that in tips. Heck $600 a week in tips puts you well over the maximum deduction. I have had bartenders pull more than that in tips in one night.

Instead of basing criminal statistics on race, base crimial statistics on education/politics/intelligence/mental/common sense level. There needs to be a aggregate measure of those five factors that is used to statistically be presented that targets who the baddies are.
Then we can consider Root-Cause-Correction (RCC).

Pigmentation has NOTHING to do with one's behavior.
Cultural heritage has a lot to do with personal behavior.
If one comes from a country that does not value human life, don't expect their behavior to change upon entry to the U.S.
