Musical Interlude Song is Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin. Anime is Little Witch Academia. In fact most of that comes from a single episode of Little Witch Academia. The series comes with the highest of recommendations (mine) but it does get a little weird in parts. Disclaimer: Mushroom mushroom! Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

@beyondreasdoubt 6h I spent nine hours traveling today and while I did some work, unfortunately, I spent a lot of that time scrolling twitter. Someone was murdered today (again) and we’ve all become so desensitized to senseless violence that it immediately became a political hot potato, with people needing to have the first or hottest take, or the best dunk on someone else’s take. Twitter’s net returns for me are simply diminishing. Undoubtedly, I’m addicted to this place and it won’t be easy or fast, but I am genuinely going try and spend time less time here. xo Posted by: m at September 25, 2025 05:45 AM (aURVT) Posted by: Grumpy and Recalcitrant at September 25, 2025 05:46 AM (O7YUW) 30

Evening and morning, late toilers and early risers across the vast AosHQ Empire! (". . . vaster than empires and more slow . . .") I'm awake, for certain values of "awake," after over seven hours' sleep. Maybe it's something about this Drury Inn hotel bed?
Coffee to start, then I'll get myself publicly presentable and hit the breakfast buffet downstairs. Maybe there'll be time for a morning pipe before I set off on my explorations today. Howz about yoo? Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at September 25, 2025 06:11 AM (cCu74) 39

Thing From Snowy Mountain, if you're still here, thanks for the good thoughts. I'll check out Owensboro, KY, today. It looks nice on Gorgle Street View, has several Shell gas stations (I have a card and the Buick will need food soon), and an actual Chase Bank. Strangely, Evansville, more than 1.5 times larger, has only one of the former and none of the latter.

"It was doomed to irrelevance by a combination of high prices and being promoted with Microsoft's doomed Recall software which absolutely nobody wants or trusts."
High prices doomed the Qualcomm launch? Compared to the intel-based Microsoft laptops and Pros, the Qualcomm PCs were and are a few hundred dollars less expensive here in the United States. The bigger issue for Microsoft's was/is legacy software which includes games and certain line of business applications. these issues are lessening. In terms of units shipped, when you start from essentially zero the initial numbers are going to look a lot like zero. As for Recall? This has to be one of the most ill-advised and implemented features ever released. At least it can be turned off now. Still, Microsoft had to start somewhere which it did. The going forward challenge is whether or not corporations begin to adopt ARM PCs. If they do, and indications are saying they will, their growth should be meaningful. I always view this as a 10-year project and we're about halfway through. Anecdotally, the people I know that own one of these ARM PCs find them anything but irrelevant. Fan-created AMVs are fun, but *man*, I wish more of the people who make them would learn how to synchronize their clips to the beat... A music video is supposed to *match* the music; otherwise, it's just a random slideshow.
