This means that there is no meaningful difference between the two polls, nor between either of these and the preceding poll in late August, where Trump's approval rating was 40%. It would be laughable if it weren't so serious that ANYONE believes the Democrats have a better handle on the economy. In fairness to women, I suspect that they've been more heavily impacted by the government layoffs and tech layoffs - where they had non-tech, make-work, jobs than men. They're probably also concerned about the ending of DEI initiatives, where they've been ended, than men.

Some of the most hilarious plans have been for the state to run the refinery itself - the people saying that have no clue how monstrously difficult it is to run a modern refinery! (Hint: one false move by anyone in the facility and the entire thing goes BOOM)
They may drill some wells again, but big deal. If you can't refine it on site, it really doesn't help your end products problem.

The problem is that California decided to have its own unique blend of gasoline, so you can't just fill up a tanker with gasoline at a Washington refinery and ship it down the coast.
Weird that walling yourself off from the world gasoline market might come with some downsides.

I have a ten year old HP laptop that came with an update to Windows 11, which I chose not to do. Until now, as W10 support is ending.

You may find that the bloat will make it pretty unusable. There are some inexpensive all in one units about the size of your hand out there and only need mouse, keyboard and monitor if you don't need a true portable.

he is going to "explore" using state of california money to increase refining capacity in bordering states and have the gas shipped in. He is desperate and he has to do something. He figured he would have another 5-7 years before this became a crisis but two huge refiners decided to abandon the state earlier than they had said they would.

As a Californian, I barely keep up with California news. There's no point. It's like the weather report, always the same thing.
That's why it's a good thing I come here, to find out stuff like this. I'm actually surprised. GIVE Cali taxpayer money to other states to replace the industries we drove out? Mind-numbing.
I wonder how the outsourcing would go under President Newsom. We buy weapons from Pakistan, oil from Russia, grain from Germany? Enter a defense pact with China so they'll guard our borders?

They need a lot of work to excise the Canadian features out of their system to even be a territory. Maybe a new category. On the other hand they should have more representation than observer status if we are seriously developing the heck out of it.
