Jimmy Kimmel Disgraces Himself: No Apology, No Acknowledgement of His Disinformation or a Correction, Says The Killer is Merely a "Sick Person," Demands MAGA Forgive Him

Jimmy Kimmel's already-small audience was Thanos snapped, as a large number of affiliates owned by Sinclair and Nexstar continue pre-empting his wretched "show."

BREAKING: Jimmy Kimmel addresses his lies about the assassination of Charlie Kirk that resulted in him being ripped off air last week in his return to late night.

Sinclair and Nexstar, who own nearly 25% of local ABC stations, are not airing tonight's show.

Keep in mind as you watch his fake tears and lying about what he did and calling Christians bad Christians if they don't forgive him -- he's trying to put this matter to rest and get Sinclair and Nexstar to air his show again.

And even with that as his goal, he still offers no apologies, no retraction of his lie, and even invokes Erika Kirk to insist that Christians must forgive him if they're really Christian.

Kimmel immediately began attacking Trump and declaring that The Real Victims Here in the Charlie Kirk assassination were leftwing fake journalists.

He lied about his intention in claiming that "MAGA is doing whatever it can to prove that the killer wasn't one of their gang." He pretends the offense was that we were claiming he was making light of the murder -- which he was doing, but we're so used to that that it barely even registers -- and refuses to admit he deliberately lied about who the killer was.

He still won't admit the murder was a leftist filled with hate. He claims the killer is merely a "sick person," and then further insists that he's The Real Victim Here by talking about the "death threats" he gets.

If that wasn't repulsive enough, he really tops himself next: He uses Erika Kirk as his human shield, and insists that since she forgave her husband's killer, it's all Christians' duty to forgive him.

Note that he claims to be a Christian as well, and says that we must all show the same "selfless moment of grace" that Erika Kirk showed.

Right before showing Trump no grace whatsoever.

But you're required to forgive, Christian. Not me. Just you.

For YEARS ABC PLEADED will all its stations to show Nightline right after the local news or close to it. KSAT in San Antonio thumbed their noses at ABC until about the mid 1990s and kept showing it at 1205 am.

Affiliates get their programming from ABC and I think prime time requires affiliates broadcast it. But daytime and after prime time, affiliates decide what shows they get. Some do not carry some of the soaps, some alter showing times on things like soaps, and so on. But the broadcast licenses rest with the affiliate, not ABC (except for those corporate stations ABC owns---8 of those I think).

I seem to recall some big problems when a lot of NBC affiliates decided not to air Jay Leno when they were putting him on air at 10 p.m./9 p.m Central.

They won't change it because they've told themselves it's the future, and they've also conditioned most people to expect streaming libraries that they just passively subscribe to and barely use.

That could be fine if the costs were in alignment with their revenues, but they're not. The only time Disney has shown a profit on streaming was when they acquired HULU which amounted to an accounting trick to look profitable.

They could make money on streaming. All they need are some cheap server space, and ways to share with other services so each person could access everything at a low cost. You have a staff of about 10 people in a cheap office and have a web portal to select what you want and provide it and a payment system. That's boilerplate code.

What you can't do with streaming is to finance a bloated studio that makes awful content at costs never before seen in moviemaking. Which is all they want to do.

The bottom line is there's only so many discretionary dollars for stream content per month. Once you hit that, users start cutting costs.

I think all the big guys (Disney etc) thought their platform would vanquish all the others and become the Supreme OG. They could then charge enough to make a profit. But what happened is the reverse: there's so much competition in streaming that it forces down prices to money-losing levels.

Also: I trust these streaming profits/loses like I trust Jerry Nadler not to shit down his leg. If you look at the number of subscribers (supposedly) and what they pay, there's certainly money there to make a profit.

Supposedly Netflix manages it, but there's not room for more than a small handfull of these operations, and I expect them to soon start to contract into bundles rather than everyone having their own service. Even the most media-addicted screen zombies won't pay for more than a couple at a time.

Yes, although even if you break out the paying subscribers it's still a ton of money. Netflix can do it, why not them? (Granted the business model is different, but still.)

I also think the big guys thought streaming was a way to expand and leverage their "brands" so that even if they lost some money on streaming, it would be made up in additional movie sales, merch, theme parks, etc. I think if anything, that backfired.

I think of God as "The Outsider" - meaning an existence that is ineffable to us, and exists beyond and outside our world primarily, yet created and sometimes intercedes in this world. Concept stuck with me from reading a lot of Gene Wolfe.

For most of its existence, Netflix did not support a studio of original content. Content was essentially free and there was no competition. Anyone else has to now win a customer off of Netflix.

Prayer is a conversation, right? Would you think "I don't know if i'm talking to my friend correctly"? No, your friend is your friend, you just talk to them. Or your wife, or husband, or a parent (if your near relations aren't dirtbags you don't talk to anyway). It's a conversation, not a test to pass or fail, and not some kind of store to get mad about when the stuff you ordered doesn't arrive on time.

"Thy Will Be Done" is the key to it all. Not "I promise to do Thy Will", because we basically can't. We suck, we're broken, and our promises don't mean shit. But starting off with "I don't even care anymore if I can get what I want, I just want my will to be whatever it is You want, even though I have no idea what that is", is a really good place to start. A lot of people have to get pretty badly broken by this wretched universe to get to that place, though.
