Sinclair Network: ABC May Be Airing Jimmy Kimmel's Anti-Comedy Show Again, But We're Not Going to Air It On Our Stations
Note that the suspiciously suddenly "pro-speech" Marxist left continues worm-mouthing about Brenden Carr's threat to enforce the equal time rule while completely suppressing the fact that the hard left is shooting up ABC affiliate stations to terrorize them into airing Pudgy Propagandist Jimmy Kimmel, and also terrorizing them into not running a tribute to the man they just assassinated. Sinclair Broadcast Group scrapped its plans to air a tribute to Charlie Kirk after multiple violent threats were directed at local ABC affiliate stations, according to a report from the New York Post. Last week, Sinclair was set to air the special on its affiliate stations but abruptly announced it was pulled and would be available on a YouTube link. The TV giant, which owns over 40 local ABC affiliate stations, was facing "local threats directed at specific local ABC stations resulting from [the] ABC suspension" of Jimmy Kimmel, a source told the outlet. The revelations come after a suspect also shot up a local ABC affiliate station in California last week. At the time of pulling the on air special, Sinclair posted to X, "Tonight, Sinclair will continue to air ABC network programming as scheduled in the late-night time period. The Charlie Kirk special will instead be available on The National News Desk's YouTube channel, ensuring viewers can continue to enjoy ABC programming while also providing full access to the special online." The man that was arrested last week for shooting three bullets into an ABC affiliate station in Sacramento, California, Anibal Hernandez-Santana, also had a timeline full of anti-Trump posts on his social media. The Post reports that after the shooting, there were increasing concerns about ABC affiliates getting targeted. Sinclair notified law enforcement as well as private security firms over the threats.

Nexstar Media Group joined Sinclair Broadcast Group and announced it will not air ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ after ABC caved.
According to Fox News, Nexstar owns 32 ABC affiliate stations and Sinclair operates 30.
Total number of ABC owned stations--8 and affiliates 226 total. So 62 out of 234 are not airing Kimmel this Tuesday apparently as of now.

My guess is it was pressure from the local stations who would be facing the violent left.
I actually respect Sinclair for that, if they were listening to the locals. They didn't force them to take a risk that the decision makers would be insulated from.

I believe Sinclair & Nexstar called Disney and asked if kimmel was done with the far-left political gaslighting/ranting. Disney probably said something well, not exactly. Sinclair probably said that's not good enough, kimmel is getting people murdered and we don't want him.

I think the Brits can design a gorgeous car. All the new Astons look great. The Jags were good-looking too. I think McLarens are over-styled with some weird design elements, but they certainly look exotic and expensive.

The problem for ABC, as I mentioned above: this would give them the right to revoke affiliation with Sinclair and Nexstar, not the right to compel their actions.
But Sinclair and Nexstar can get new programming much much more easily than ABC can get new stations.

Nope, the problem for ABC is that the locals own the license, not ABC. ABC is simply the provider of programming and local affiliates have had the right to reject national programming i off hours or daytime for a long time. Not all ABC stations carried Nightline for example back in the day and some did not carry all the ABC daytime soaps.

Yes, LR' use of aluminum -- steel was hard to find after the war -- meant that their cars didn't suffer as much from the plague that almost all over cars did: rust. The old Brit cars that weren't made of aluminum practically rusted on the way home from the dealership.

I was on a jury a couple of years ago for a dreary employment issue that was so dumb it never should have made it to trial. But the woman's attorney managed to drag it on for 3 days.
On Friday after the close of the trial they sent us to the jury room and we had a verdict within 30 seconds. The bailiff told us to enjoy our free lunch and when we were done then he would take the verdict.
After the trial the judge invited the whole jury to his office and apologized to us for waisting our time.

She posted on social media just after the assassination attempt on Trump in PA. Her post was a meme showing Death using one of those claw vending machines to secure a prize with the caption. "Awwwww So close." She, also, had a post "Y'all gun-toting, 2nd-ammendment-loving hillbillies better just sit down and stay quiet unless you're gonna change your mind on gun control."
She got two weeks paid leave while someone "looked into it". They, also, gave her a security team. She is still working at the FBI. She wasn't fired.

What the Brits cannot do, sadly, is design a car that's not an unreliable piece of shit. It's not a coincidence that most "British" cars are now built by Germans (Rolls and Bentley) to much higher standards than anything the Brits ever did. Aston uses Mercedes engines and drivetrains.
I wish my Dad was still alive today; he was a mega Mercedes fan (German born). He would crow about the brit makes using Mercedes engines.
I agree with you on the styling; Aston Martin and Jag (well up until this electric car abortion they pooped out recently) do design some beautiful cars and they have some beauties in history...that only stay together if you don't drive them much.

I was supposed to have a colonoscopy and an upper GI at the same time a month or so ago (for my vomiting), but I threw up the colonoscopy prep stuff, so they just did the upper GI. I had an inflamed esophagus (prob. because of the vomiting and some polyp in my stomach that turned out to be benign.
Haven't had any vomiting since, though, because I eat smaller amounts of food and chew them thoroughly. Nonetheless, I have another double procedure scheduled for November, a couple of days before my birthday. Ugh.

Interesting, but Fairfax doesn't really spike their voting til 2 weeks out when they open up a ton of early voting sites (vs the 3 they start with for a county of 1.1M people). That said, at least the election isn't written off on day one. Red VA is gonna have to show up with 90%+ eligible voters to compete with the certain 85% coming from Fairfax and Arlington...

Also, it's the affiliates who actually broadcast the programming over the "public airwaves", not the networks. So the FCC license buck ultimately stops at the affiliates, and that gives them ultimate veto power over what is broadcast, network contracts and all that notwithstanding.

One of the things I'm proudest of is when I was called up for jury duty on a stupid slip/fall case (sued a coffee shop because the floor was wet during a serious rainstorm that was flooding other areas of the city).
