Google Censoring Speech At Biden's Urging; Google Says That Creators Kicked Off the Platform for Telling the Truth About Covid Are Welcome Back

Michael Shellenberger
@shellenberger

Finally! Google admits 1) that the Biden White House demanded censorship of legal content, and 2) that the European censorship law (DSA) could require it and other tech companies "to remove lawful content" both "within and outside of" the EU. The US must stand up to EU censors!

Rep. Jim Jordan
@Jim_Jordan

BREAKING: Due to our oversight efforts, GOOGLE commits to offer ALL creators previously kicked off YouTube due to political speech violations to return to the platform.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL.

-Admits the Biden Admin censorship pressure was "unacceptable and wrong"

-Confirms that the Biden Admin wanted Americans censored for speech that did not violate YouTube's policies

-Details when YouTube began rolling back its censorship policies on political speech after @JudiciaryGOP began its investigation

-States that public debate should NEVER come at the expense of relying on "authorities"

-Promises to NEVER use third-party "fact-checkers"

-Warns that Europe's censorship laws target AMERICAN companies and threaten AMERICAN speech

Here are three sections from Google's letter to Rep. Jordan, making a series of admissions about their own censorship, Biden's demand for censorship, and the EU's current mission to impose European censorship on American citizens.

googleadmissions1.jpg

Let's see that last admission again:

bidenunacceptableandwrong.jpg

That's some Real Genuine Horseshit (TM) about Google resisting the Biden government's demands for censorship.

And more admissions about Biden's censorship demands:

googleadmissions2.jpg

And now it's the EU -- foreigners whose rule we thought we escaped -- demanding we be censored according to their whims:

googleadmissions3.jpg

Remember, it's dangerous for Brenden Carr to exercise the actual powers of the FCC and enforce the standing equal time law because the left might do the same to us in the future.

Here's a top Biden staffer admitting they "encouraged" Google to censor true information about covid.

Republicans are not allowed to legally enforce the law against their political enemies because Democrats might do the same rather than the current reality of Democrats illegally using law enforcement mechanisms to punish their political enemies.

It might look bad if Republicans use legal mechanisms in above board ways that harm Democrats.

38 And Democrats don’t care. If they ever get power again, they will do the same thing and only be more stealthy about it. Google will fold again like a cheap suit.

Schumer and Jefferies just demanded a complete reversal of Trump’s policies in order to keep the government open. Just think about that. With all that has happened the Democrat Party leaders are still pushing for a return to the past.

God help us if the Democrats ever regain power. They are pushing harder than ever before for their failed policies and electoral subversion.

93 Following multiple telecommunications related imminent threats directed towards senior US government officials this spring, the US Secret Service began a protective intelligence intelligence investigation to determine the extent and impact these threats could have on protective operations. This was a difficult and complex effort to identify the source of these fraudulent calls and the impact on the Secret Service protective mission.

Investigators discovered tens of thousands of co-located and networked cellular devices capable of carrying out nefarious telecommunications attacks. These devices allowed anonymous encrypted communications between potential threat actors and criminal enterprises, enabling criminal organizations to operate undetected.

This network had the potential to disable cell phone towers and essential eventually shut down the cellular network in New York City. These devices were concentrated within 35 miles of the global meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, now underway in New York City.

Early analysis indicates cellular communications between foreign actors and individuals that are known to federal law enforcement.

Hope it is HOLEP (cold laser), not TURP or other heat using methods. Recovery is quicker with HOLEP and you can combine Holep with getting biopsy samples for prostate cancer at the same time. Heat methods prevent this.

Oh, and I hope that a prostate ultrasound sizing was used first--often the prostate itself is not enlarged but you can have bladder obstructions that mimic problems.

In fairness, I don't really see what any one representative or senator can do in these big, corporate-style bodies. As institutions, they are too far gone. The electorate itself is too far gone; there's no real constituency for austerity, real budget cuts. It's why I'd never run; but, if I did, I'd unapologetically be about my grift and hustle. Because that's all you can hope to accomplish there, getting rich at the expense of the public, which is indifferent to good government. Government doesn't exist for any other reason at this point.

They have no idea anyone was ever censored at the behest of the government. Even when they find out they don't believe it. Even when there are congressional hearings and the corporations in question straight up say they were forced to censor, they don't believe it. Even when government officials admit they did it, they don't believe it.

Because if they believed it, they would realize they have been supporting evil people. That their opinions have been controleld and currated.

Privately owned entities should be able to do anything legal they want, obviously.

The economic concept of technical monopoly (mostly developed in relation to utilities) has been diluted by technology, but it might apply in this area - information. So, regulation, where the market for whatever reason can't develop/support multiple players. Or maybe a new concept applies, since the tech world is hopelessly dominated by a racist-totalitarian mindset, and even competition wouldn't solve the problem.

In any case, Goolag is obviously in need of break-up or some such - I think their anti-competitive ad practices (key to their finances, I assume) are actually getting legal attention as we speak. Penalty phase of earlier suit against them?

I read several news and opinion aggregation sites including JJ's excellent morning report daily. But lately, I simply use regular old brave search with AI for a lot of memory ticklers and to find the original source/news of a particular event rather than relying on second hand X reports to give it to me.

For Trump or his underling actions, I ignore the whole infrastructure of opinion crap to go directly to speeches, EO's, rulemaking, and other actions rather than reliance on secondary sources.

Congress.gov, for example, had an excellent table of where the various appropriation bills were in the process and hotlinks to the actual bill texts. Next computer I build will be one that allows a resident AI LLM summarizer to employ with pdfs to summarize the documents for me. Brave's AI summarizer has a few errors and hallucinations at time but otherwise has been a fairly useful adjunct to targeted original source keyword searches. Saves me the increasingly unreliable Wiki on political issues as sometimes I have to reacquaint myself with the particulars on a legal issue involving cases in a hurry.

Simple fact, 100 million watched the Charlie Kirk memorial, about 1 million were watching Jimmy. Even if Jimmy gets a Colbert fare thee well bump, he might clear 2 million of sad bastards stuck watching the tube (and that will be hard to do with 1/3 of ABC stations dark on his show).

Of course, my wife is basically a lib yoga instructor, she was getting worked up over how “disgusting” Trump/RFK are for how they rolled out this news. I said there was a major study at Harvard, authored by the dean of Public Health and with Mt Sinai. She then started reading an NPR piece..

First graph is an outline.
2, 3, 4 are a random public health person saying this is false and dangerous.
5 and 6 basically bag on Trump.
Only on 7, second to last, does NPR mention almost in passing, that one of the country’s most prestigious academic institutions came to the same conclusion a month ago. That fact? Buried.

I asked her - “You see the game now?”

(LifeSiteNews) — Two prominent bishops have warned against “grave scandal” if Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich goes through with his plan to honor self-proclaimed Catholic Senator Dick Durbin (D–Illinois) with a lifetime achievement award from the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity.

During his nearly three-decade tenure in the U.S. Senate, 80-year-old Durbin has consistently opposed pro-life principles.

“I was shocked to learn that the Archdiocese of Chicago plans to honor Senator Richard Durbin with a Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Durbin’s diocesan bishop, Bp. Thomas Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois, where Durbin has been barred from receiving Communion since 2004.

"Narrative" is number one for these assholes and what it did was deflate the intensity and horror of the murder, and turn it into a battle about comedy and free speech. It also somehow put Republicans squarely on the opposite side of the battle they had clearly just won. Even if all it did was muddy the waters it's a pretty huge win, considering.

I'm thankful Trump is there fighting the battle for us since he quite clearly understands how to do so.

They are not fixable and about half of them show propensity to violence if they don't get their way. What we need to do instead is focus on teh huge pool of voters that are persuadeable. That means canning the stale corporatist crap taht GOP (not Trump and his folks) puts out and instead addressing needs.

Standing with Ukraine!, for example, does not mean shit to voters in Iowa worried about corn prices and jobs, GOP senators blathering about H1B's affecting corporate earnings does not address concerns that our kids aren't getting those good jobs. Cruz calling the FCC chair out when Kimmel was and is a piece of shit that specifically violated a FCC rule (no false coverage of crime events) And so on.

323 Recall how YouTube became the only video sharing platform?

Prior to it's dominance, folks could host a video on their own site.
If they went viral, it'd overload the site and exceed the bandwidth.
There was also the nasty trick of the left in MDOS attacks. Which service providers and hosting sites did nothing to stop but still charged the site owner.
And then there was Google, denying ad revenue to sites.

Anyway, all my rambling is to say, Google probably directed all the ways that prevented individual hosting, so that you had to host all videos on YouTube.

And that Google was violating anti-trust laws long, long before they became a monopoly.
And they haven't stopped.

PS: See also the judge ruling Google is a monopoly but zero punishment was due. Insane.

Karen is a material witness, subject to deposition, in her ongoing legal matters. Mr. Doherty last night made the suggestion that she be murdered in order to interfere with and obstruct the current lawsuit. This is perhaps the most egregious form of witness intimidation possible, and if I were Karen Read I would be demanding he be charged immediately. It's noteworthy that Plevin, who claims to value civility, did nothing to admonish Mr. Doherty. He says he only took the video off of YouTube and not his other social media accounts, because he didn't want to risk losing advertising revenue via demonetization.

I think it needs to be said again that VP candidates don't move votes in material ways. Some on the margins here or there, but the choice is mostly about consolidation of power within the party at the highest levels.

It's why Trump picked Pence in 2016. He didn't need help with Indiana. He needed help with the establishment.

If Kamala was really picking based on which group of voters the VP appealed to most, she's completely out of her depth. She would have been better off picking some Biden flunky or something, to keep things smooth at that level. No VP was going to help her win a single state.

I liked the Columbo episode he was in. One of the few times I was rooting for the murderer......LOL!

392 341 246 aspirin, a glass of cold water .. and if that's not enough, 1 cold brown sugar pop tart lol

anyway that used to be what I did. now it's just aspirin and ice water and dark room with aromatherapy

that's a fancy word that means "i put the brown sugar pop tart in the toaster", isn't it?

393 Remember, it's dangerous for Brenden Carr to exercise the actual powers of the FCC and enforce the standing equal time law because the left might do the same to us in the future.
=====================
We have get past the Brendan Carr butthurt. Even Carr himself admits Kimmel was cancelled already, because he sucks, the affiliates said he sucks, everyone was losing a shit ton of money on his show, and he sucks.

Carr chiming in at the last minute was unnecessary and it gave the lefties something to latch onto and make into a Big Deal. As is typical with second rate politicos, and me, Carr was unable to accept victory when it was handed to him on a plate and he chose the exact wrong moment to start talking about equal time. If he had waited for even a day, and posed the issue as a possible future enforcement thrust (instead of trying to horn in on what was until then an intra-ABC/Disney Groomer Corp. issue), he would look like a star. But he screwed the pooch instead.

396 360 If you can stand the bitter, chewing the aspirin and keeping it in your mouth to be absorbed is pretty quick pain relief.

Directly into the blood; avoid the stomach middle-man.

397 "10. It is unacceptable and wrong when any government, including the Biden Administration..."

Wait, wait, you mean... LAWS APPLY TO DEMOCRATS, TOO?! OMG!

WHOA - STOP THE NYT PRESSES!!

If LAWS APPLY TO EVERYONE (even though of course Women and Minorities are impacted most) then even WHITE MEN are impacted!? Oh, damn! Say it ain't so!

398 368 Aspirin supposedly causes stomach ulcers. But I think you have to take a lot over an extended period of time to have that problem. Sometimes medical advice is really weird about safety. You have to avoid even the slightest possible ill effect in one case but ignore an avalanche of health risks in another.
