CNN's Harry Enten: Republicans Have Big Leads on the Democrats On the Top Three Issues Going Into the Midterms

From Matt Margolis, Democrats may not get the usual midterm win.

[Excitable CNN Poll Dweeb Harry Enten] explained that polls showing Trump underwater don't mean diddly squat because Democrats are still losing badly on the issues that matter most to voters. "At this particular point, the Democrats are the New Orleans Saints of political parties," Enten quipped. "What are we talking about? Trust the Dems or GOP more on the economy. Who leads on the economy? Republicans by seven. Immigration? Republicans by 13. How about crime? A big issue for Donald Trump and the Republicans. Look at that: Lead by 22 points."

That's not a statistical blip--it's a crushing advantage on all the top issues heading into the 2026 midterms. Enten warned Democrats not to assume Trump's poll numbers would save them from their own failures. "At this particular point, it's the Republicans who are running with the ball on the top issues, the economy, immigration, and crime," he said.

Bolduan then pressed Enten to compare today's numbers with the last time Republicans took control of the House. Enten's answer was devastating. "The GOP is more trusted than the Dems on the economy. It was 12 points in 2022," he explained. "Slight, slight decline in that lead, but still seven points. How about immigration? It was Republicans by three back in 2022. Look at this: the Republican lead's actually gone up by 10 points!"

"What are you doing, Democrats? My goodness gracious!" Enten said. "And on crime, the Republicans were up by 13, and now they're up by 22."

And note this doesn't take into account the extra five seats the GOP will probably pick up in Texas, nor the five seats the GOP will probably pick up in Florida (if DeSantis pulls the trigger), nor the extra few seats they'll pick up in Missouri and Ohio.

Curtis Houck
@CurtisHouck

.@PeterMeijer tells CNN the left has "spent way more time treating Jimmy Kimmel as a victim than the person who was shot and killed in front of their wife and children" and "nobody" has been "silenced" by the government in the Jimmy Kimmel suspension, unlike what the Biden administration did with Google....

"Who was silenced? Nobody silenced....We talk about the blue and the red division, every single one of the reasons why the FCC has a role is because these are broadcast stations with a monopoly that was granted by the government....I would hate it if the federal government came in and said, you may not say that. The reason why Jimmy Kimmel got himself into the first place is he was repeating a lie believed by one in three Democrats that the person who assassinated Charlie Kirk had a right-of-center beliefs. We can parse his verbiage all day long. If he comes out and says, listen,' that was not what I was trying to say.' Thank you. Fantastic. I appreciate that, Mr. Kimmel. The problem is, that is believed, and we have spent way more time treating Jimmy Kimmel as a victim than the person who was shot and killed in front of their wife and children"

"Your hypothetical if the Biden administration went and jawboned, let's say, social media platforms. Deplatforming hundreds of conservatives? That is literally what the administration that you served did. Google just released all of the components...In the history of the FCC, they have done that plenty of times"

"Your administration deplatformed and kicked off of social media -- you want to talk about actually silencing? Having any single public outlet that you have on allowed to -- to broadcast something, right? Jimmy Kimmel could go on MSNBC tomorrow. He's going back on ABC tonight. This man has not been silenced. Charlie Kirk been silenced because he's dead. A lot of conservatives were silenced on social media platforms because the government threatened those social media companies. Facebook, Google, Twitter. You can go down all the list. YouTube again, just acknowledged to Congress today that they did that at the behest of the Biden administration....I don't care about Jimmy Kimmel."

While CNN cries "censorship!" and large-nosed propagandist Jake Tapper claims that Brendan Carr's single sentence was the greatest "direct" act of censorship in history, CNN has refused to mention Google's admission that Biden ordered it to censor conservatives for four long years.

36 Too good to willow, sorry....

As I keep saying, the Democrats are pushing this toughness and masculinity thing to the max and Trump is letting them.

They don't realize the trap he is walking them into.

They're fighting the last war. The one where Trump stood up after being shot like "Come get us Motherfuckers".

He already won that war for MAGA. It happened. It's over. But Democrats have been on the warpath to "prove" they're not wimps. Like fucking deranged idiots. Because they think that's how you "win".

Next - while they're still blathering and pontificating and chest-thumping and bragging and threatening, he will show how caring and empathetic Republicans are.

Oops. Trump is already onto the next battleground and they have no idea. Dummies.

84 >>> I am not the slightest bit worried about the midterms. House majority is going to increase and so is the Senate.

I'm watching the Utah redistricting saga. They were told their district map was gerrymandered and illegal and they have to redraw it. All the "Fair" and "balanced" map redesigns give SLC its own district seat, which means it will be blue now and forever if any of those maps get passed.

So even with these other states redistricting to be more red, Utah might be one seat bluer next year. And the logic used by their courts to declare their map invalid might be used on other red states. I hope not!

98 I'm cautiously optimistic about the midterms. The DOJ has been cleaning up voter roles, the new Trump influenced RNC is fighting much harder than old team including with election lawyers on election day and a number of Republican dominated states are redistricting and adding Republican seats.

Not to mention the polling numbers are YUGE for us right now and Democrats are in complete disarray. Long time before the election but this is the best position for a midterm we've had in a very long time.

The Charlie Kirk killing happened, and we saw it, and reacted to it, and mourned him, and it changed us. We don’t have any need to keep going on about it 24/7; our task is to now think on it carefully, reflect on our lives and our country, and answer the question - What then must we do?
Nothing half cocked - it will take thought, and planning, and careful organization, and focused leadership.

I had Grok review acetaminophen toxicity, mechanism of that toxicity, and the antidotes. Very roughly and LD50 (single dose and you're dead, Jim" would be about 10 - 17 g -- variation depends on the individual.

7.5 to 10g would put you in the hospital with acute liver toxicity.

Taking over 4 - 6 g per day for 5 days or so would also likely lead to acute liver toxicity.

Now, alcohol would lower all of the above by a good bit.

He was murdered in cold blood.
Is it too descriptive for today's generation?

I'm too young to know what the cultural reaction was when they found links to fetal development and the mother using drugs or alcohol. Even the links between smoking and cancer. but I assume pregnant moms didn't suddenly down a bottle of wine or smoke a pack.

There was a great clip of a conservative gen Z kid, who looked like from how he was dressed that he is a Ramones fan, and his hippie boomer dad, at the mic of a Charlie Kirk event.

Kid tried to jab his dad with an insult right out of the gate, and Charlie shut that down, saying we need to respect our parents even when we disagree.

He got them to agree that their main difference is that the dad trusts government, and the kid doesn't. One of their main points of contention is their level of trust for the government. And there are valid points for both. He united them, he didn't keep turning the kid on the dad. It turned into a really beautiful convo instead of a gotcha moment.

The more vids I see of Charlie Kirk after he's passed, the more I'm amazed by him. RIP.

Their age-adjusted cancer rate is 60%, or 3/5th of the cancer rate of the general population.

235 The biggest problem the Democrats and the globalist liberal movement has is they are unserious people. They ran our government for four years like a kid that found his fathers gun when he went away for the weekend and waived it around at everybody. They abused their power because they are clueless ideologues who have no idea regarding the consequences of their actions. Just like these jackasses at the UN who pulled a grade school prank by shutting dow the escalator and teleprompter. Oh haw-haw you really got us this time, you pants wetting dunces. You need a good throat punch and two weeks in a dark room, duct tapped to a chair while Metallica blasts its greatest hits while you sit in your filth and every once and awhile someone comes in to firehouse you off.

It’s really about time for a comeuppance.

264 Does reverse osmosis remove hormones and drugs?

G00GLE: AI Overview

Yes, reverse osmosis (RO) is a highly effective method for removing hormones and drugs from drinking water, as it pushes water through a semi-permeable membrane that blocks even small contaminants like individual ions and large molecules such as pharmaceuticals and hormones.

RO systems can eliminate up to 99% of various pharmaceuticals, including antibiotics, mood stabilizers, and estrogen. For optimal performance, RO systems are often combined with pre-filters to remove larger particles, and their effectiveness depends on factors like membrane quality, water pressure, and consistent maintenance.
