NY's Joker-Rictus Governess Kathy Hochul Endorses Communist Jihadist Zohran Mamdani;
The Communist Jihadist Refuses to Endorse Her Back

The Joker-Faced authoritarian is running for governor next year, too, but the thing about communists is, they're communists.

Zohran Mamdani refused to back Gov. Kathy Hochul for re-election after she gave the lefty Democratic mayoral nominee her coveted endorsement.

Hochul on Sunday endorsed Mamdani in the November mayoral race, claiming to have found common ground with the democratic socialist, including on the issue of affordability.

But Mamdani on Monday declined to return the favor, and did not pledge his backing of Hochul's re-election bid next year -- at least for the time being.

He told reporters it was premature to ask about "the thing beyond the thing."

"My focus is on November, and I'm excited to have the governor's support in that fight for November," Mamdani said.

The apparent snub raised eyebrows, including from Rep. Elise Stefanik -- a potential Republican gubernatorial opponent -- who said it made Hochul look weak.

"Even Mamdani refuses to support Kathy Hochul less than 24 hours after she endorsed him!" the upstate New York congresswoman said in a statement Tuesday on X.

Veteran campaign strategist Hank Sheinkopf said it showed political influence leaning toward Mamdani and his fellow far-left Democratic Socialists of America members.

"No good deed goes unpunished. Hochul looks weak," Sheinkopf, who runs the pro-law enforcement, anti-Mamdani super PAC Protect the Protectors, told The Post.

"Mamdani looks like he's the head of the Democratic Party in New York, not the governor. This shows the power shift. Mamdani and his movement are in charge," Sheinkopf said.

She thought she was the real Joker, but the real Joker was Mamdani.

Like that stupid Joker sequel, except with more estrogen.

Posted by: bonhomme

Jesus did so by ultimately his silence when Pontius tried to get Jesus to admit to something that would save him. The Sanhedrin claimed that Jesus was a rebel who refused Roman and Jewish rule in their indictment. Otherwise, Pilate would have no jurisdiction. Jesus purposefully, due to his knowledge his crucifixion was necessary for God's Plan, refused and indirectly rebuked Pilate to save his own life from the machinations of the Sanhedrin.

Malicious compliance technically. Jesus made the Romans part of killing him and as such was a martyr to that evil government.

182 150 Sadly, I don’t see any movement from the DoJ or the lazy asses in Congress on election reform so states like NY will continue to slide into hell. Between mail in ballot fraud, illegal immigrant voting, sketchy tabulation processes, fraudulent voter rolls, etc. they are baked.
Posted by: Marcus T
----
Lots of purging voter list lawsuits, tightening of laws in red states regarding election procedures in GA and NC among others. Illegals being deported with no new ones coming in. And we are beginning to see voter fraud trials in various states like TX, FL, and even a few blue states like CT.

The problem with election cheating is it always goes all the way down to local races and that creates splits even in blue states where one faction or the other stuffs the ballot boxes.

However, both of these election-reform measures applied only to primary elections. New York City’s general elections remain decided by traditional “first-past-the-post” rules, in which the person who receives the most votes wins, regardless of what percentage of the overall vote that represents.

192 Jesus did so by ultimately his silence when Pontius tried to get Jesus to admit to something that would save him.

I read the conversation very differently. Pilate opens with the core accusation: Are you the king of the Jews? Jesus asks if he's asking for himself, or for others. This clarifies who is making the accusation and their motives. Pilate is maneuvered to separate himself from the accusers: "Am I a Jew?" This is a crucial distinction. Is Jesus threatening the Roman leadership, or the very limited Jewish leadership? Jesus seizes on this distinction and asserts His Kingdom is spiritual, not physical. He is the King of Heaven and his people are NOT going to fight for rulership on earth.

There are far more ways to be subversive than outright rebellion in speech and actions. Jesus taught that salvation was more important than secular things. Roman law and jurisprudence ordered no such things including actual statutes that recognized the 'faiths' legitimacy from the Roman Senate (read up on Iraneus on Heresies sometime for a laugh). But instead they allow kids to come to college, change their voter registration to NYC, and then vote in the mayoral election, then allowing them to register back home if it helps in the presidential election in that state.

There should be laws where you can't move around voting at will in states as long as you have a day of residency.

264 "NY's Joker-Rictus Governess Kathy Hochul Endorses Communist Jihadist Zohran Mamdani;
The Communist Jihadist Refuses to Endorse Her Back"

Because Mamdani, AOC, the mayors of LA, Oakland, and Chicago, and too many more Democrats to count, are Democrats in name only. They are Communists. They are co-opting the local Democrat political machines to do their bidding after winning a tiny D voter-turnout primary. They have no loyalty to the Democrat machine of to any of its machine-approved politicians.

Communist Bernie Sanders is honest enough and in a small-enough state that he can label himself an Independent and garner most Vermont Democrat voters and no-doubt has all the help the VT Democrat Party machinery has to give.

Moderate Democrats (a self-contradictory, camouflage, term) won't be able to get to general elections until they can drive enough non-commie registered Democrat voters to vote in D primaries.

Jesus affirms He is a King, and testifies of his Divine mission to testify of truth and those who love truth will listen to Him.
Pilate then retreats to a philosophical point, "What is truth?" He's given up the accusation. He ends the inquiry and tells the crowd he finds no fault in Jesus. He is not a subversive to the Roman rule.

Agree. The Lord put his son before a man who likely had previously lost a governorship owing to a local uprising.

So themes of rebellion on either side were likely a hot button to Pilate. Some scholars argue that he chose Barabbas on the idea that surely the Jews would want Jesus released.

312 How blatantly obvious. This displays a pretty amazing facet of politicians (Leftists mostly). Hochul is only concerned about being re-elected, obviously. So, she sees a popular candidate and fully ignores what the substance of that candidate is. All she sees is that the candidate is within a region that accounts for a vast majority of the state votes and decides to hitch her wagon to that star.

In short, Hochul, while looking to be re-elected to a position that is supposed to be representative of the people, is only representative of herself.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but it isn't often that it is so glaringly obvious. And, this is where a subjective media allows it to happen. In a perfect world an objective reporter would sit down with Hochul and run through Mamdani's policy stances and ask after reading each one. "Do you support this?"

By his very existence. Under Roman law, you could get your heathen religion recognized by the Roman Senate, Jesus never bothered with that nor did later Christians. Ironically heretics could and did apparently Simon Magus for example got the Senate to approve a statue of him.

"The Senate's role in religious affairs was primarily exercised through its legal and administrative powers, including the enactment of decrees (senatus consulta) that regulated religious rituals, established the legitimacy of cults, and oversaw the appointment of priests and religious officials."

So yes, Jesus was a rebel but against the religious side of Rome.

They believed in the resurrection of the dead. Yes, Jesus was sharply critical of them, but I wonder how many believed in Him after His Resurrection and after hearing the Apostle's testimony.

Rome. Is that supposed to be a gotcha? He was also a politician who could read the room. He didn't want to kill Jesus, but the crowd did. He saw enough passion and energy in the crowd, he didn't feel like opposing it. He could have called for a big crackdown to shut them down, but he decided it wasn't worth it. He explicitly put the blame on the crowd when he washed his hands and told them why he was doing it. He decided to kill Jesus because it was less trouble.

Posted by: TheJamesMadison, in a world of gods and monsters with James Whale at September 17, 2025 12:54 PM

Grok:

Under the current RCV system for primaries:

Voters rank up to five candidates in order of preference.

If no candidate gets a majority (50%+) of first-choice votes, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated, and their votes are redistributed to the voters' next preferences.

This process repeats until one candidate reaches 50% or all but one candidate is eliminated.

There is no separate runoff election -- it's all handled "instantly" through tabulations released about a week after Election Day (as seen in both 2021 and 2025).

How they eliminated them was really a matter of convenience and timing. There were 3 major Roman-Jewish Wars fought around that time. It all ended with the massacres, destruction of Jerusalem, the Temple and mass displacement.

387 346 > Who did Pilate speak and act on behalf of?

I'm not going back up to read but if this is some discussion on who is to "blame" for Jesus being killed, Rome, Pilate specifically, Jewish leadership. The most valid answer is simple.

We are to blame. We are all sinners, and so God gave his only son.

They believed in the resurrection of the dead. Yes, Jesus was sharply critical of them, but I wonder how many believed in Him after His Resurrection and after hearing the Apostle's testimony.

411 Well, through Paul, the principle is obey authorities.

And Jesus is the authority for religious matters.
Posted by: Axeman

Paul was actually more worried about the Great Commission than himself. Part of the deal was making sure that Christianity was not banned by law which would have hurt the spread and growth of Christianity. Paul himself defied conventions as did other early Christians who were martyred that the Emperor was a living God and had to be obeyed on that basis.

Distinction between law and religious authority here as well as not getting Roman approval for church leaders as was required.

Things were complex but Christianity was an outside force to Roman law to the extent that later Roman emperors tried intermittently to stop it and failed. That was the legacy of Paul, he set up growth in the church that could not be stopped even by the supposed almighty reach of the Roman emperor. We don't think of government and religion the same way that rulers did back then. Religion hand in hand with rulers was the norm back then and while Rome was more lax than Egypt under Pharoahs, that tension was there. Religion and truth faith is always undermining to secular rule.

They did something similar in Spartacus: all the slaves had American accents and all the slave owners had English accents. It make historical sense in that the slaves would have been speaking Vulgar Latin where the word for horse was “caballus” while their masters, when not speaking Greek, would be speaking Classical Latin where horse is “equus”.

Eh, they had no problem stoning Stephen shortly after the crucifixion and would have done the same thing to Paul among others.

Back then, the Romans cared less about what the wogs did to each other as long as it did not affect Roman rule, taxes, and authority. Jesus was not a Roman citizen and unlike Paul, could not call upon Roman authorities to take the trial out of the Sanhedrin's hands.

The Sanhedrin simply did not want the risk of any backsplash and they wanted Jesus given the most ignoble death possible while their hands were clean. Both Caiaphas and his predecessor were approved priest by Roman acceptance and the proxy ruler Herod's.

Roman law is a complicated mess and local practices necessary for an empire to function made it worse.
