Trick question, it was born bad. Dogs are also capable of larceny. The password is "Leash." Adopting the poor little calf who was for some reason rejected and bullied out of the herd. Rescuing a tiny chick who fell off a truck. A cute and happy blacknose sheep. Cat gets vengeance on the dust buster. Rescuing an (evil) river otter. Defiant dogs. Thanks to @PatriarchTree for the last three. Land appears to split from the mainland and float out to sea. Hoppy hoppy snow fox. (? -- might be some kind of weasel.) We must stop the penguin invasion. Big puppy teaches little puppy. Dog wants to be in the Way Back but also wants to hear what you guys are talking about up front. When your dog thinks he's lost you at the dog park. Me at a party. It's back to school week. So exciting!

We're not talking about a government figure with security here. As long as there are a bunch of people around and you spend a moderate amount of time planning on how to physically escape, you can whack just about anyone from 200 yards and beat feet.
The harder issue here is not leaving behind specific types of evidence. You basically can't touch a damn thing without leaving DNA they're going to be able to recover. You can even snag viable DNA now from ejected shell casings hours after the fact, on account of loading the magazine without gloves.
You either have to take the weapon with you, or basically not contaminate it *at all*. Or anything in the shooting position, or to/from that position.

Security was paper thin and not even remotely focused on a distant threat.
In fact, it almost seems like it didn't occur to them this could happen.
It does suggest to me that the shooter may have known the area quite well already.

It's arguable that Kirk was one of the people most responsible for helping Trump win the 2024 election. He definitely helped Trump win Arizona and he mobilized millions of young people across the country to support Trump.
Trump recently blew up the Iranian nuke program and they've never forgiven Trump for Soleimani. There were reports of multiple attempts by the Iranians to kill Trump during the election and they were supposedly targeting a number of people from Trump's first administration. Trump is a hard target now because of his security. Charlie Kirk was not.
Could have nothing to do with it but at this point I don't think anything should be ruled out.

I am enraged by Kirk's death, no less than any one of you. MAGA is a movement. Trump is the current leader but Kirk was bringing millions of young people into the movement. I've heard at least a half dozen people today say they always though Kirk was going to President one day. Listening to a lot of people who knew him far better than me he seemed to be way more influential in the MAGA movement than I realized. Hell, Trump just ordered the flags to half staff. He obviously was somebody important to Trump. I doubt the Iranians didn't know who he was.

The more I think about this wonderful statement, the more I realize that it isn't descriptive, it's definitive.
I always see this nebulous wishy-washyness about how to define "the Left" anymore, how to define "Woke", etc etc. It's hard to pin down any kind of ethos for what this so-called movement is. It's just sort of.... there.
This is what it is. It isn't that some movement has been so animated by fervor that they've become violent and hateful. The movement itself is Violence and Hatred. Everything else is secondary, and any others who have Violence and Hatred inevitably get assimilated and have their identifying features stripped from them, as well. The Revolution is not about instituting any Dictatorships of Proletariats. It's not about Haves and Have Nots, or Privilege and Unprivilege. It's about "I" and the power of that "I" to coerce.
It's just plain Evil, stripped of anything like an ideological or philiosophical trapping. And that Evil will build and army for itself however it can, saying whatever it needs to.

That's the point. How many events on college campuses have been cancelled over the last 8 years due to "concerned for security." Non-Binary Ben is always getting cancelled. Kirk got cancelled a number of times. Crowder got cancelled. And, of course, at the time it was never about security. IT WAS about the risk of getting young people to think for themselves. The educational system is a battleground whether we like it or not. And it such a battleground where we need to take back ground.
Kirk threatened to do just that. So he was instrumentally dangerous to the Left.
Colleges cancelling events due to "safety concerns" was always a thin veil for censorship. Now they have something to hang their hat on...which, IMO, was the purpose of todays events.
